DYK for Hi-Tek incident
On 23 September 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Hi-Tek incident, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in 1999, hundreds to tens of thousands of people protested for 53 days against the flag of Vietnam and a portrait of Ho Chi Minh in Little Saigon? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Hi-Tek incident. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Hi-Tek incident), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Seventy-Six on Wikisource
I noticed your recent edit to Seventy-Six (novel). Are you working on transcribing the book into Wikisource? If so, thank you so much. I'm really excited to see more of John Neal's works available there. Dugan Murphy (talk) 13:27, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, I am! I was rather surprised to see that this interesting, groundbreaking work with a FA to boot was not transcribed on Wikisource yet. (Really, there is a dearth of material from John Neal). Do you have the first edition or know where to get a scan of it by chance? It would be good to put that on Commons and WS as well. MSG17 (talk) 16:48, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
- It being an interesting, groundbreaking work is precisely why I felt like it needed an article in the first place, so it warms me to see others taking notice. I own a copy of the 1971 facsimile reprint of the 1823 edition mentioned in the article, but original 1823 copies are quite rare from what I can tell. Dugan Murphy (talk) 19:30, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
- I see. Luckily, I did find a transcription on the University of Virginia library web site (can't like it directly due to the []: https://search.lib.virginia.edu/?mode=advanced&q=keyword:+{Seventy-six}&filter={%22FilterDigitalCollection%22:[%22UVa+Text+Collection%22]}&pool=uva_library). Now to see how to get the scans... Anyway, it's nice to see you taking notice as well! MSG17 (talk) 01:30, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

- Good luck! There may be a few minor differences between the two editions, aside from the page numbering, so it would be helpful to capture both. Dugan Murphy (talk) 13:40, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

The article Newtownbutler bombing has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Event is summarised within Dissident Irish republican campaign article. No injuries or deaths. Insufficiently notable for separate article.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. LukeSurl t c 15:13, 22 February 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Goldmines Telefilms
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Goldmines Telefilms requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Goldmines Telefilms Pvt Ltd. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. - Hello, MSG17,
- It is hard to overcome an AFD deletion decision so soon after the AFD closed unless you write a draft and send it through AFC for review. Putting it right into main space will result it being tagged for a CSD G4 deletion. Liz Read! Talk! 02:13, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
- I thought that it would be reappraised before being tagged, my apologies. I think, though, this could be a good opportunity to discuss and perhaps improve the article. MSG17 (talk) 02:17, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
