AfD nominations
Hi. I posted your AfD nominations on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/2006 April 15, so more people will see them. By the way, be sure to check out Template:AfD in 3 steps if you haven't already. I've found it to be very handy. Best, dbtfztalk 03:22, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
Cheverus High School
Mlaroche...could you explain in further detail why those topics were not relevant? I don't disagree with your decision, I'd just like to know why those topics were deleted. The library had not been covered (the statements are true) and you had asked in a discussion to talk about how many PhD's there were. I am wondering what your position is. Thanks & you do a good job. Also, when was vandalism added? Thanks
- Wikipedia is a community written encyclopedia. If "The school's library is also regarded as one of the top in the state. Ms. Jane Glass is one of the most highly regarded high school librarians in the country, and she is well complemented by Mrs. Maggi Berry. They both do a wonderful job helping with research and keeping kids to their work. The Cheverus library is a great school resource." is true, I'd like to see a source rating Ms. Glass as a top librarian. If Dr. Nielsen is a top scientist, I'd like to see some sources listed too. It's vandalism to post in a non wp:NPOV way. --Matt 23:39, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
I respect your decision, but may I ask how this is not nonNPOV-- "Cheverus' Key Club is known for its annual turkey drive that helps give many needy Portland area families a meal during Thanksgiving." Where are the sources that say Cheverus is known for its Key Club Turkey Drive?? It is like saying Cheverus has a well-known librarian.
- Cheverus Clubs makes it clear that Cheverus does a turkey drive. Can you find any source that even mentions the quality of Cheverus' library? There's a reason the article has a cleanup tag. --Matt 23:56, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
Ok, thank you for your patience with my learning...you do a great job. Thanks again. I will only add boring facts in the future.
- I'm not saying to make boring edits. I'm saying to make neutral edits and quality edits - and don't forget, this is a real site, so flattering your teachers can be kept elsewhere. --Matt 00:27, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
I have neither of those teachers, FYI. But I get the point. Thanks
Re: Qatar
You're correct, I once again misinterpreted the diff display! Too bad I can't take that edit summary back now. My knowledge on Qatar is absolutely minimal, so I don't think I can help with the article... I was just checking the interwiki links to see how it's spelled in Finnish. –Mysid(t) 12:03, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- Yay, I'm not the only one making mistakes. Happy editings! –Mysid(t) 13:29, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
Dear Mlaroche
I am intrigued as to the degree of your professionalism and integrity. Please stop fooling the wikipedia community with your false stories of various educated exploits and expierences. Everyone knows you are a 15 year old boy living out of Westhampton, MA. This Charade must end.
Thank you for your time.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 209.146.77.163 (talk • contribs) 16:27, 8 June 2006(UTC).
- I am neither 15, nor living in Westhampton, MA. But thank you for your time! --Matt 17:32, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
Yinzer.
Please keep your edits' tones civil - assume good faith. I lived in Pittsburgh for 4 years and didn't know that Pittsburghers would be that offended at 'yinzer'. If you dislike the term, please remove it from the article in a constructive way. Cheers! --Matt 00:22, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for your comment, but I think you misinterpet my addition. I do not wish to censor the use of "yinzer". Instead I wish to document that the term is not with out an alternate connotation. I have lived in Pittsburgh for 47 years, and I think that a majority of Pittsburghers that I know would concider the term 'yinzer' to be a perjorative. A mild one, but still a perjorative. Like being called a hick, or a rube.
See the following blog entries on the subject: What Do You Call a Steeler Fan? Y*nzerama! and Are yinz from Pittsburgh?.
Also check out the entry for 'yinzer' in the urban dictionary. Definition: Yinzer —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 207.12.5.251 (talk • contribs) 9 July 2006 00:20 (UTC)
Hello
Hello I'm Aeon the deputy coordinator of the AMA, your AMA case is on hold for now as I need more information on the case. Since this case falls under WP:NLT I need difs to the edits that were made so I can take it up to the SYSOPS for action. Æon Insanity Now!EA! 23:20, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
Nevermind. I have reported T. C. Craig to WP:AN/I please go there to keep track of the case. Æon Insanity Now!EA! 23:30, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
No problem, If I was a SYSOP I would have handled it myself. They should look at it soon. Æon Insanity Now!EA! 00:10, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Hello Aeon again. T.C. Craig was block indef. for violating WP:NLT. I will be closing the AMA case for it. Æon Insanity Now!EA! 01:06, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
The AMA case is now closed. If you need any further help in this let me know. Æon Insanity Now!EA! 01:17, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
With the issue mostly resoulved do you required the AMA case to be reopened? Æon Insanity Now!EA! 02:40, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
- Nope, I'm good. I'm kind of confused - did I somehow ask for the case to be reopened? Thanks! --Matt 02:41, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, I see - you mean since we have the admin part done, do we need a mediator. I don't know - I've been mostly observing from a policy point of view on the article. Economizer and T.C. Craig are more dealing with the content issues... --Matt 02:43, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
- AMA is not for Mediation but representation and DR Assistance. If you don't that is cool I was asking as a precaution before I archive the case. Æon Insanity Now!EA! 04:29, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks and Apologies
I appreciate your nod today on my talk page. While Economizer was right, I did take umbrage to the address but after I calmed down I realized I was being ridiculous. While the signing issue is a valid one, I do appreciate your approach and of course there are no hard feelings. T.C. Craig 04:01, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
p.s. I think you cleaned up some grammer of mine. Thank you
Qatar
I took Qatar out of the category Category:Current monarchies, but I also added Category:Emirs of Qatar to it. This was following on from the discussion at Wikipedia:Categories for deletion/Log/2006 September 15#Category:Monarchies, where there was some mention that countries themselves should not be in the category. Hope this clairifes my edit :) Tim! 22:49, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, ok, that works. Thanks for the explanation! --Matt 02:17, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
Help with Qatar pages
Hi there, As you have probably noticed, i've been working a lot on the Doha article, and I am trying to improve the pages for Qatar as much as I can. Since you seem to have an interest in Qatar, is there any chance you could help out with some of the articles listen on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Qatar page? Also, thanks for improving the langauge in the Doha article! Amjra 15:47, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- Amjra, I'll help out when I have the time - I hadn't seen the WikiProject Qatar page before. I'm sorry for removing so much detail about the taxis, but it didn't seem to fit and I couldn't find a way to make it fit - the transportation section is a nice addition though! Cheers --Matt 15:48, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- I just noticed the section was removed, I personally think the taxis section is relevant as it is the only form of public transport available in Qatar other than buses. I think it just needs to be reworded, as if you look at the Dubai article, taxis are mentioned in detail due to them being relevant - maybe we could do something similar in the Doha article? -Amjra 16:16, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- The taxi section is relevant, but the comfort, newness, and difficulty of finding one are hard to fit into the article. (I disagree with Dubai's talking about the price and whether or not you have to pay when the taxi isn't moving) --Matt 04:47, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

Blanking
Thanks Matt. Deeply disturbing, but can scan for it. Regards, Rich Farmbrough 00:09 2 December 2006 (UTC).
- Seems to have been due to this wikimedia problem. Rich Farmbrough, 22:45 2 December 2006 (GMT).
