Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Great Expectations (1974 film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page James Faulkner (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Edits

I looked at your edit history and see that you make an impressive number of edits. That's commendable. However, you might consider using edit summaries, as it is a common practice and helps other editors in improving articles. Secondly, your edit to the Chris Kyle article[1] was in extremely poor taste. Edits like that probably shouldn't happen in the future, even if your intent wasn't to be insulting. Chicken Wing (talk) 10:02, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

I assumed that your Chris Kyle edit was a good faith effort gone wrong, as is Wikipedia policy. Your edit to my talk page reveals it to be a deliberate act of vandalism. I would suggest not engaging in that kind of behavior again. The incivility of this[2] edit was also quite sever and should not be repeated. Chicken Wing (talk) 10:30, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
For your vandalism and repeated acts of incivility, I have reported this incident here.[3] Chicken Wing (talk) 11:05, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

Request reason:

I'd like an un-involved admin to look at this please. I've been blocked for edits made nearly two years ago and for rudness in an AfD that was dealt with at the time. I haven't been given a chance to reply at the ANI after the admin (eventually) showed up - and then three showed up within minutes to give a virtual backslap to each other. Thanks. Decline reason:

I see no valid reason for an early unblock. I have also read all the discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Lugnuts. I hope the user has done the same, and will then use the short unblock period to examine his/her actions.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 19:05, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

Editing The Lonedale Operator

Thank you for fixing the extra spaces I introduced into the The Lonedale Operator. I just want to let you know that I will be working on this article throughout the day. Before I finish my edits, I will double check spacing and so forth. I am mentioning this so as not to waste your time by checking each of my edits and doing such fixes until I am finished editing. I am relatively new to Wikipedia and if I have posted this note in the wrong place, please let me know.

So do you now think actors by era categories are worthwhile?

I noticed that you created Category:20th-century actresses and Category:21st-century actresses. I also noticed that within the last few months you expressed the view that the actors by era categories were useless. So do you now feel it is ok to have such categories? Personally I think they are useful, but I still wonder if we should not follow the example of such categories as Category:19th-century French writers and divide them by nationality.John Pack Lambert (talk) 21:02, 4 February 2013 (UTC)

"[[1978 in film|1978]]"?

I was told some time ago to come here and ask you why we don't write film articles like this anymore: "Ugetsu Monogatari is a [[1953 in film|1953]] period horror film." I don't really mind one way or the other, so I initially just accepted this, but I'm just curious: was there a debate about this somewhere where I can go and read it? I know it's probably covered by WP:OVERLINK, but was it ever common practice to use this link in particular? Cheers! elvenscout742 (talk) 07:31, 7 February 2013 (UTC)

(talk page stalker)Hello Elevenscout742. When I began editing here back in '05 the "Year in film" link was commonly added to every film article. You are correct that "Overlink" was one reason we began removing it. Another was WP:EGG. I am not sure where you would find the debate as it took place 5 or 6 years ago and I think that discussions took place in more than one area. If Lugnuts doesn't remember you might try User talk:Erik and/or Wikipedia:Village pump (policy). Hello to you as well Lugnuts. I hope that you are well! Cheers to you both. Category question

Hey Lugnuts! I was wondering, is the category "21st century actresses" related to when they were acting or to the period of time they lived in? Let's say an actress was born in the 60s and stopped acting in 1999 but is still alive in 2013, would you place her article in the 21st-century actresses category? Lol, Sofffie7 (talk) 13:58, 12 February 2013 (UTC)

?

Why did you do this without showing a REASON? I added a navbox template on article but you removed it. The movie is starred by Natalia Oreiro, so we can add her navbox. In my opinion you can't remove this contribution without showing a reason. Please, add the tamplate again on article. --Cemallamec (talk) 15:31, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

According to this, you endorsed a copy-paste page move of the fully-protected page Rocket Records. Is this true and, if so, can you provide a rationale as to why you feel this was warranted in this situation? Thanks! --Kinu t/c 20:24, 3 March 2013 (UTC)

No kinu, lugnuts did not "endorse" anything. As I truthfully stated to you earlier kinu, I submitted to lugnuts a request for an official redirect/subsequent page move because The Rocket Record Company is improperly documented on wikipedia right now. I explained to lugnuts that my reason for the request was so that The Rocket Record Company could be moved to its proper title and wikipedia url address, and that the article for the current Rocket Records could then be moved onto the the old page afterwards.
I provided both my reasoning, as well as the proper sourcing which lugnuts viewed and then subsequently approved. He clearly saw that the name of elton john's record label is The Rocket Record Company, which it is kinu. That is a 100% fact! I sincerely apologize if I inadvertantly caused any confusion with my request, but lugnuts did nothing wrong or "endorsed" anything kinu, and that is the truth. He should not be blamed for honest confusion that I most likely was the cause of inadvertantly!
On another note, I will say that I myself finally feel that you are now being a bit unreasonable about the entire Rocket Records issue kinu, because eric gregson's logic, passion, and common sense is being completely ignored by you for reasons unknown, except for maybe the fact that he was confused and didn't follow official wikipedia procedure, which I see he has now apologized to you for multiple times. It kind of seems to me that you are punishing him unfairly kinu, and dare I say taking your administrative powers a tad bit too far, although of course I respect the job that you have to do keeping things properly functioning on wikipeda.
Lugnuts, I think you should visit the Rocket Records talk page and get in on the conversation towards the bottom of the page as soon as you are able to. You know that the proper name of elton john's label is The Rocket Record Company. Kinu still seems to be a bit confused by this, and also as to why this should be cleaned up as soon as possible, so maybe you could help out. Thanks! MusicLoverShawn (talk) 22:10, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
Lugnuts, considering the above user has been found out to be a sockpuppeteer, this issue is probably moot... given the dishonesty, I doubt he even asked you anything. Sorry to have wasted your time. --Kinu t/c 00:54, 4 March 2013 (UTC)

Spacing of stub tags

Hello! First of all, let me say that I admire the amount of work that you have done on articles as part of {{WikiProject Film}}. However, I noticed that you have removed the spacing on a lot of articles where I have placed stub tags. Could you please explain the purpose behind edits like this one, especially when Wikipedia's manner of style actually prefers that the spacing be there? Thanks! Fortdj33 (talk) 14:15, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

I understand now that you are not inclined to answer questions posted on your talk page. But I have to ask again, what purpose are you trying to serve by making edits like this one? Changing the spacing after a stub tag has been added, without contributing anything else to the article, is generally considered an insignificant edit. While it has no noticeable effect on the rendered page, why are you wasting your time with such inconsequential edits, when Wikipedia's manner of style for stubs prefers "to leave two blank lines between the first stub template and whatever precedes it"? That's why AWB automatically corrects that spacing, when adding or updating a stub tag. Please do not make insignificant or inconsequential edits, as they just clog up the edit history, and are not constructive or helpful to Wikipedia. Fortdj33 (talk) 13:29, 20 March 2013 (UTC)

ANI

Hello. There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.

Come on...

This was unnecessary and untrue. I closed the ANI, and no where did anyone mention bad faith. I did mention that if you would respond to questions here on your talk page, it wouldn't have ended up at ANI. You could have talked it out here, or on a talk page somewhere. There isn't anything to be gained by being rude this way. As for capitalizing or not capitalizing, I don't care so much, but the proper thing would be to strike that portion of your comment and stick to the merits of the discussion. You are better than that. Dennis Brown - © Join WER 00:25, 18 March 2013 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Gear Fab Records requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. OlYeller21Talktome 02:32, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
