RE:
[edit]I got your message of a proposed deletion. I don't understand what you mean by I made personal attacks on the user. I put warning templates on there because of his recent vandalism. Talk pages can't be deleted if a vandal is currently active.SchnitzelMannGreek. 14:02, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply;)SchnitzelMannGreek. 14:02, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- What I would do is give a warning each time he does it. When you reach the fourth warning---report to WP:AIV.Don't use the same warning twice. You are familiar with warning templates, right?SchnitzelMannGreek. 14:12, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- I would just give a warning for each offense and when it passes four---report him. Each offense deserves a warning. But if it is the same offense that you gave him a warning for and you didn't notce it and he hasn't edit since the last warning for the attack..then disregard it. Hope this helps;)SchnitzelMannGreek. 14:18, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Thank you again. I am trying to write a biography on a Zambian inspirational freedom fighter and I want to put a photograph with the long box for entering salient points. I am nowhere near doing it yet. Still trying to find out how. Hopefully I will get there.Sophena Chisembele 11:46, 11 October 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sophena Chisembele (talk • contribs)

Edit conflict - warnings for 156.1.60.60
[edit]I dropped a warning for delete-4IM on this anon user at the same time as you dropped a warning for delete-1 on them. I gave my warning when I saw that the school block was just lifted. I left both warnings on the talkpage; I defer to your judgment as to which warning is more appropriate. --A More Perfect Onion (talk) 20:47, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

AIV report
[edit]Hello. While I blocked the IP for his or her disruptive edits, I just wanted to touch base with you regarding the comment you left in the block request you made at AIV [1]. Are you aware that as per WP:BLANKING, editors -including anonymous editors like this one- are permitted to remove warnings at will from their own talk page? — Kralizec! (talk) 04:02, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
- If you already know that editors are permitted to remove warnings from their own talk page, then why did you revert the IP's legitimate blanking [2] of the page? — Kralizec! (talk) 04:13, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
- No worries, I just wanted to make sure you were aware that editors were not prohibited from removing messages. Thanks again for helping heep vandalism under wraps! — Kralizec! (talk) 00:33, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
RE: Question
[edit]Yes, this is certainly vandalism that should be reverted. However if the IP had just blanked the page, that would be fine a la WP:BLANKING, as only shared IP templates may not be removed. After doing a little reverse DNS lookup digging, I changed the header in question to a {{MobileIP}}.
Also, since the editor behind this IP has been bouncing around vandalizing your talk page, I went ahead and semi-protected it for three days. Let me know if you would like to have it turned off early or otherwise modified. Please let me know if you have any other questions or issues. Thanks, — Kralizec! (talk) 11:28, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
Hi there. Just wondering why you lablelled this as vandalism and left a warning on the user's talk page. They were clearly good faith edits. Tony Sheridan worked with the band before they became famous, and the surviving Beatles reunited in 1994-1996 to record new material. Regards, --Pawnkingthree (talk) 19:34, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- No worries. These things happen.--Pawnkingthree (talk) 19:42, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Re: breast cancer box
[edit]Hi - thanks for the message. That box is part of my calendar. The calendar uses several pages to make a daily calendar noting holidays and observances and just dumb stuff that I find while not doing things I should be doing instead of finding dumb stuff. You can see the call for the calendar on my userpage if you scroll down to the 'Sidebar' note - the calendar is the first thing in the sidebar. Beneath it is the status template switcher, which is a whole other story.
The pink ribbon box is the default option for October when there's not a holiday or observance. For June, the default option is a notice celebrating Goat Trauma Awareness Month, so count yourself lucky you saw the pink ribbon instead of goat trauma. (Scares the vandals half to death, goat trauma does. ;-)
Since it's now Monday, my calendar has switched dates and the box now talks about Columbus Day. If you want to adapt the calendar, be my guest, but be sure you've studied it closely and understand how it works before you do. It took a while to get it to work correctly and the slightest little thing can set it off and turn my user page into a hot mess.
The image is File:Pink ribbon.svg (be careful - that's a really, really big pink ribbon) and you'll get help at Wikipedia:Userbox Maker if you want to make your own userbox. I'm surprised there's not one made already. Let me know if you have more questions or need help. :-) KrakatoaKatie 00:29, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

3rd Dynasty of Ur
[edit]Regarding the following statement, which you appended to your deletion of my edit, "at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Third Dynasty of Ur, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted", I contend that my edit was in fact constructive. I had noticed unfactual and unsourced information, which I changed, providing my reasoning, original Sumerian document numbers, and scholarly sources to back it up on the discussion page. If you don't understand the changes or back-up, or you disagree with my reasoning or the reliability of the sources, should you not have laid out your own reasoning on the discussion page, rather than simply delete the change I made? --Mother of Otherness 18:48, 21 October 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mother of Otherness (talk • contribs)
CSD question
[edit]Hello, I tagged an article for speedy deletion, Www.rplmaker.co.in, but I wasn't sure what category to use. I thought G1 and G11 both applied, maybe G3 too. What would you have done, and what do you do for cases where more than one category applies? Thank you. LovesMacs (talk) 10:53, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Mac, It happens rather often that a page fits into several categories. In those cases it is best to make an educated guess as to what purpose the article creator had in mind for the article, so that the warning template on his or her user page includes the highest amount of worthwhile information (Or the most spot-on warning, if you wish). Seeing that this page had the subject of a website, and some gibberish words that contained a bit of promotion, and that the user was spamming i would have gone for the G11 template as the users intend was clearly promoting a product.
- Keep in mind that you should always attempt to tackle the core issue though - If i write an article about "the incredible awesomeness of Excirials wonderfully hypercharged userpage", the main issue is that it is an utterly non notable section on a website, even though it is a clear advertisement. A G11 tag could theoretically prompt the user to rewrite the page in a non advertising way, which is senseless on both ends as it would have to be tagged for removal again. Hope this helps, Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 11:30, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
article title change request
[edit]hi, i'm new and can't do this myself--if you have the time please review Kris Williams (actress) and change title to what you think is more appropriate to use, as the subject is wholly unknown as an actual "actress" and only really notable for a single reality tv show. much thanks! :) PippaMaru (talk) 00:39, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

Corrections
[edit]The numbers for "French people" and "Italian people" are wrong. My corrections aren't in conflict with the articles because adding the numbers of the population in all the countries in the world (as in the articles) you will get to my total number. Regards —Preceding unsigned comment added by FrankVonPedro (talk • contribs) 16:36, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
The reliable source, that you want, is the same article! There is in the same article the right number! But at the end someone did an error........the right numbers (140 Italian people and 100 French people) there are already in the article, you only have to add all numbers IN THE SAME article.....I only corrected it, I don't have to cite any source because I am not doing a MODIFICATION but only A CORRECTION! —Preceding unsigned comment added by FrankVonPedro (talk • contribs) 16:50, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
Ok, I understand your point of view that includes immigrants in the number of France population: so it will be about 64 million, I AGREE. BUT there is a problem or maybe two: 1) why for "French people" do you include immigrants in the population of France and it doesn't happen for any other country? 2) even if you include immigrants, the TOTAL population, as in the article, reaches 105 million, not 130! why this false number? Again: please correct it! Regards.
