Hello, Lnvraman
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username VickKiang, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Mae Riley, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.
If you wish to contest the deletion:
- Edit the page
- Remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- Click the button.
If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|VickKiang}}
. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

- Hello VickKiang, I believe the article page must stay. Mae Riley is a celebrated personality since 2001. I have made some updates to the earlier version of the article. A notable reference as member of the Chamber of Commerce is added and other changes in content is made. Would like to see if this qualifies to stay on and not be deleted. Some notable references like mention in Who's Who worldwide - its link is not available at present as their website is down. Mae mentioned that she is appearing in many interviews at present and one of them is a guaranteed notable one. Lnvraman (talk) 17:04, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Lnvraman. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. VickKiang (talk) 03:12, 6 October 2022 (UTC)
- Hi. I do not have an external relationship with the person. Lnvraman (talk) 17:23, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
An article you recently created, Mae Riley, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) In addition, there appears to be a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP policy, please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 21:09, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
- You have a clear conflict of interest. In addition, there is not a single in-depth source from a reliable reference, so this person does not come close to passing notability criteria. Please follow the instructions at WP:COI or WP:UPE, and when you feel it passes GNG standards, ask to have it reviewed. Do not move it back into mainspace yourself.Onel5969 TT me 21:12, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for your review. Will take care of the conflicts you mentioned and submit draft for review when here are sufficient citations available. Lnvraman (talk) 01:26, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
