thanks for the invite, Liveste
I have re-read the copy for the Wizard of Oz, and I am sorry, but it needs a lot of work. The copy seems very simplistic and banal. Let me know if you want me to begin on the overhaul. you can either write on my page or if you prefer, on your own. thanks,raina_noor (talk) 22:34, 22 January 2009 (UTC)raina_noorraina_noor (talk) 22:34, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
"Cleanup" tag on Internet censorship in Australia
Hi, I notice that you were on the Cleanup Taskforce. Internet censorship in Australia has had a cleanup tag on it for months, but I think it has actually had substantial cleaning-up. Do you think it would be appropriate to remove this tag now? I don't feel confident enough to do so. Thanks! cojoco (talk) 23:16, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
UBX/Science
First, sorry for not asking (people generally act boldly... if I had to ask everyone for every little change I do it'd be tedious). Second, why should science be necessarily capitalized? Subject nouns don't usually begin in capitals... they're only capitalized if said along with official department or such... Science is capitalized because it begins the sentence, of course, but not capitalized anywhere else in the article if it's in the middle of a sentence. -- Mentifisto 18:27, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, it's no problem. Thanks for explaining. -- Mentifisto 22:18, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Central Pulse.jpg)
Thanks for uploading File:Central Pulse.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:10, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

WikiProject Genetics
Hi Liveste,
Thanks for inviting me to be a member of WikiProject Genetics. I understand its purpose is to bring articles relating to genetics up to a higher standard of quality. I'm very concerned about an article which is being taken over by a couple of people who are known to be -- well, I don't know the correct way to say this -- crackpots. What they are trying to put into this article is completely counter to the knowledge of both professional and amateur scientists in the field -- I count myself as one of the latter. A user, Jheald, has been trying for a long time to bring sanity to this article, but he is outnumbered. I haven't been following this in great detail, but have been recently alerted that the state of apparent calm that I had seen last time I was involved has completely degenerated into a huge mess. Is there any way that objective people could be brought in to help? I can vouch for Jheald as a serious person who is trying to bring the content in line with science. Two others are seeking to promote agendas that have to do either with religion or self-promotion. The article is called Y-chromosomal Aaron. I have expertise in this area, but without academic credentials, and may not be seen as an outside observer. Please advise us as to what can be done. Also -- I hope this is an acceptable way to contact you regarding this. I'm not very familiar with Wikipedia protocols. -- Bonnie Iris-J2 (talk) 15:53, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

WikiProject Novels - Coordinator Election
Good Evening. I imagine none of the seven of you who will be getting this identical message will really know who I am, so I'll briefly fill you in. I joined the project four months ago, and recently I took up the role of writing the newsletter with help and mentoring from The Ed17. Between us we decided - in an attempt to revitalise the Project - that a Coordinator Election could get people interested. So, the point of this. An election has been set up, and in an attempt to modernise it, it will be a bit shorter and possibly sweeter - one week to sign up, three weeks voting.
The seven of you who are receiving this message, are the seven people - not including myself - who hold positions at the Job Centre, so you are the people most likely to want the challenge that is the role of Coordinator. The deadline for nominating yourself is 23:59pm June 27.
To nominate yourself, copy the writing in the box below into the Candidates section, adding your details and statements:
=== Name === {{user|Name}} : Statement goes here... ==== Comments and questions for Name ==== (this part is added when voting phase starts June 28)
Finally, I have not decided whether I am standing yet. Also, if you want to reply to this, I would be grateful if you could reply on my talk page.
Thanks, Alan16 (talk) 19:04, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

I would encourage anyone who so wishes, to stand in the Coordinator Elections. If you wish to stand, please do so by 23:59pm, June 27. Voting will the continue to 23:59pm, July 21. Can everyone please check-out the Coordinator Elections page. Also, the collaboration of the month is The Tin Drum, so if you have any spare time, please check it out. And I apologise to the seven of you for whom this will be a repeat message. Regards, Alan16 (talk).
