DEL - COK flight

Air India and Indian Airlines have merged quite sometime back and all flights are under one entity. Yes there are internal issues of people not willing to work together but on this site wikipedia.com, information is provided to the masses and they could not care less who is behind the scenes running the show. No matter what aircraft they use, if today the flight is under Air India code "AI" (not a code share on IC but pure 3 digit AI flight) it should be placed among Air India flights (as purely all AI coded flights today leave from the international terminal of any airport ) and if it is an Air India flight with "IC code", that can today fall under the Indian Airlines flight. Besides it's just a matter of 3-4 months as the IC code will be eliminated completely.

Secondly about aircraft. Among the A319/A320/A321 aircrafts, "Indian Airlines" or "Indian" is existing only one A320s and a couple of A319s. All A321s and almost all of the A319s have "Air India" painted on the aircraft. But these things should not matter much on an information portal. I do take your point that the aircraft that will do this route will be an Indian Airlines aircraft, but other than the name on the fuselage, nothing is "Indian Airlines", it is all Air India right from booking tickets to the logo on the paper napkins on the flight.

I hope I was able to put forward my points efficiently. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SQ412 (talkcontribs) 04:35, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

COK Flights

Abhisekh, I am sorry as I thought you have removed the additions made by me despite of giving official verifiable evidences. I didn't knew that you happened to overlook. So I make my apologies

Meanwhile, I recommend, you should leave the editing you make in regard to Air India's Delhi Flight. This is because, I clearly understand, that the newly introducing AI 693/692 is a regular Air India flight, not operated by Indian Airlines. Air India launched 4 flights from Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi each in evening, to easy connection to late night Delhi-New York, Chicago flights. If this flight was operated by Indian Airlines, into which AI had some code-share arrangment, then the flight number would have been 4 digits. But in this case, AI 693 is a 3 digit code, indicating, its a direct AI flight--Arunvarmaother (talk) 16:27, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport

Hello. This is to inform you that I have reverted your recent edit on this page. As per WP:REPEATLINK, where the links are in a table, as each row should stand on its own. Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Style guide/Layout (Airports) does not have any exception to this. Therefore repeating links in Airport-dest-list is fine in that circumstance. Thankyou. never stop flying (talk) 13:56, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

If Airport destination lists in other airport pages deviate from this, then they need to be changed accordingly. never stop flying (talk) 14:19, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

Bangalore Airport CopyVio

That text absolutely was lifted right from the press release (scroll down to 19 January 1010 and click on the date to expand the release). This is a blatant copyright violation, with serious legal implications and the entire section should be removed immediately. jasepl (talk) 13:57, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

Btw, I kinda rewrote the Current Scenario section and changed the section heading to Current Scenario and Expansion Plans. I hope this removes the copyvio problem. MikeLynch (talk) 10:10, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
It looks better, but some of the recent additions clearly are straight from a presser or a promo: "The world's premier retailer" and "World leader in food service". It all seems very advert-y. jasepl (talk) 13:10, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Bengaluru International Airport

Hey Abhishek, I notice that you are actively editing Bengaluru International Airport. As I have written in the talk page, I feel that the article has too many sections, and hence I see lots of [edit] boxes floating around. I tried merging many of the sections, but I couldn't really find much time to complete the job. I request you to merge the sections, or expand them, so that it doesn't look somewhat ugly. Thanks. Chennai Airport

Hey Abhishek, regarding the article on the Chennai International Airport at Meenambakkam, I was wondering if you could clean it up, as it has a lot of issues, or so I feel. I have raised one issue on its talk page. I am a bit busy quite now, so will be grateful if you can have a look at it. Thanks. MikeLynch (talk) 13:24, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

SpiceJet

Thanks for the notice, but I don't understand how that was "unconstructive". I recently created that navbox and included SpiceJet to include all of Kalanithi Maran's assets. That would require changing the template a little, that doesn't mean my inclusion of the template was "unconstructive". It was meant in good faith. EelamStyleZ (talk) 19:23, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

Kingfisher Airlines

Hi, I have received you message with reference to lack of citation in the data about Kingfisher Airline. May I ask what part of the edit are you referring to..? I had a couple of citation links listed while i was editing it. So, if you can please forward / highlight the extract to me, i will ensure that the update / edit is cited properly. Thanks, HIREN. Hiren punjabi (talk) 20:04, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

Kingfisher has code-share agreement with only BA and AA now, so King miles are valid only for these two airlines as well. I do not see how King miles are valid in the other airlines you mentioned. If you have any source (unlike the one you cited) like a press conference by Kingfisher or any news article from some valid on-line news agencies please provide the same. Thanks, Abhishek191288 (talk) 09:45, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

please check yor data on the page ... the current fleet is 24 aircrafts marketshare is 13.3% chairman is kalanidhi maran i have added more usefull information like cancellations, on time performance... and what about the company slogan ? am i wrong ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Parnas25 (talkcontribs) 10:43, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

oky talking about the neutral point.... the article as of now looks like an advertisement, as you can see on the page itself adding these information(with links) will only make it more useful for anyone checking this page. talking about giving reference .... i changed marketshare to 13.3 % and also added the link. and talking about being against .... its actually the opposite. let me tell you ... at all times i know more about spicejet then you could.

Regarding your question about whether it si right to use flag icons in pages Etihad Airways destinations and List of Dragonair destinations, it is absolutely acceptable to include the f/i. Notice the latter has an FA-status. For more, please visit Wikipedia:WikiProject Airlines/page content, or just drop a question at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Airlines. Adding Tamil title to airline articles

Abhishek, Whilst I appreciate your concerns regarding editing of posts which I did, I wanted to clarify certain things. Why is it considered offensive? An Indian currency note has 15 languages printed on it. And the same shall be followed in all Govt organisations. Is there any rule that states in Wikipedia that says you must not address a heading in other languages? My point is that all those organisations should be addressed in all 15 languages(Wikipedia is not used by Hindi readers alone which I hope you know). I feel that you are "Racially and Linguistically" discriminating the minority Indian languages. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Saravanan87 (talkcontribs) 15:19, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

If your point is to address them in all the 15 languages, then add all of them. Why just Tamil as you did? I do not buy your story of trying to add titles in all 15 languages. And btw, titles are listed only in the official language of the entire region (India in this case) an organisation comes under (not considering the smaller regions within the larger one). Lastly please sign your posts by adding four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your message. —Abhishek191288 (talk) 15:40, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

I would welcome if you would not object to adding the languages. I know only Tamil that's why I have added only that. I would also try to add other 14 languages as much as I can. Saravanan87 (talk) 17:41, 3 January 2011 (UTC) Saravanan

You just cannot add as per your wish. Per editor concensus, we only add a title in the language of the larger region a company belongs to. If you do want to make such changes have a discussion at Wikipedia talk:AIRLINES. If all the editors agree to your point, then you can make those changes and request for additions of other language titles. Besides it will help if you provide an edit summary when you make changes. Your most welcome. In cases where info is not available on the net, just wait till the respective website(s) is/are updated. Mega Global Air

Hello. In the fleet info, the aircraft they have is actually a 767-3P6ER, not a 767-300. I know it's listed like that in the airline's website, but a few Google searches (including this one) will tell you that actually it's not. So I've changed it back to 3P6ER.--8qblog (talk) 03:32, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

I changed it to 767-300ER per the airline's website. Whenever there are two or more sources regarding some info on an airline, it's best to follow the airline's website. —Abhishek191288 (talk) 03:39, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Hello Abhishek, I deleted the msg because it was irrelevant, not being uncivil. I though it was called 3P6 because of the seating configuration, so thank you for clearing that up. --8qblog (talk) 05:38, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Also, since the aircraft originally belonged to Gulf Air to which 'P6' refers to, I think it won't be incorrect to use 3P6ER? --8qblog (talk) 05:40, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Exactly! And yeah, it is good practice not to delete to the comments when there is an on-going discussion. —Abhishek191288 (talk) 05:44, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Yeah I will be doing that shortly. The airline is to begin schedule flights soon; right now it only operates charter flights between Male' and Gan. They are to operate a route between Gan and Hong Kong as well; no official announcements have been made yet. --8qblog (talk) 06:43, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

I think it is leased, but not from Gulf Air. Here's what I know about it.--8qblog (talk) 07:15, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

MG (Mega Global) Charter is the name they use in the website, but their aircraft is registered at the Maldivian Civil Aviation Dept. as "Mega Global Air", and the under the company Mega Global Air Services Pvt Ltd. They use many names in my opinion; MG Charter, Mega Global, Mega Maldives, etc. --8qblog (talk) 07:32, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

I've changed the ICAO code and callsign based on an email i've received from the Civil Aviation dept. here. So there's no way I can give reference to that change.. can I post a screenshot or somthing?--8qblog (talk) 07:40, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

There are so many edits by the IP, but I think the point of contention is whether Girinagar is a part of BSK. Well, Girinagar is very much a part of Banashankari. Banashankari extends from almost near Kanakapura Road junction right till PESIT, and from Jayanagar (3rd Block i think) to Srinagar bus stand. Girinagar is under BSK 3rd Stage. Also, it was wrong on the part of the IP to delete the infobox material. I think it could be brushed off as AGF, though he pushed his point quite a lot. (today, I met some new wikipedians who were just like this particular IP...so I learnt to keep a lot of patience! ) TheMikeWassup doc? 18:10, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

CSD A1 taggings

Hi Abhishek191288. I just removed a couple of CSD A1 tags you applied to articles about places in Bangalore. Though short, both articles supplied enough information to meet the basic requirement of clearly identifying the article's subject (hence my ability to tell that they were both about places in Bangalore!), so the A1 tag didn't apply. Most places are assumed to be notable, so if you don't think the pages are likely ever to grow beyond a stub you are probably better off discussing mergers than proposing them for deletion. Gonzonoir (talk) 17:37, 19 January 2011 (UTC)

Indian

So far, there's only one source for this important event, although I think the source itself is credible. Why does Tribhuvan International Airport and Kabul International Airport say that the services will on 26 January, instead of 29 Jan? For the latter, the IP user leaves the URL http://airlinersindia.s4.bizhat.com/airlinersindia-ftopic10473.html, on which a few outsiders say that the merge will take place from 26–30 January. I'll say we have to create a note link to the bottom of the section and write "Indian Airlines is expected to be merged with Air India by 29 January". Sp33dyphil (Talk) (Contributions)(I love Wikipedia!) 21:20, 19 January 2011 (UTC)

Precisely. Spell out Indian Airlines' name out in full though, instead of just "Indian". Sp33dyphil (Talk) (Contributions)(I love Wikipedia!) 06:57, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

Chennai airport

Hello, LeoFrank. You have new messages at Wroteheard's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

First of all go and find some other source for the claim, cite the same and it'll remain and won't be reverted. Any airport website can claim something about the airport and for such claims, the airport website cannot be accepted as a source. Even the Hyderabad airport website claims that it was the first public-private ventured airport in the country when even you do know that it was Kochi, and it also claims that the airport is the best in the world when there are several better airports across the world. So for your claim of Kochi being the fourth busiest, the airport as a source is not acceptable. Find some other source and feel free to add it. And a quick glance at your contribs indicates that you haven't gone beyond the boundaries of Kerala. Abhishek191288 (talk) 10:45, 11 January 2011 (UTC). Its applicable to BIAL also.

The given reference clearly shows CIAL is the fourth and I retained seventh busiest in overall. Please recheck my edits.

--Bijuts (talk) 10:45, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Then put a latest reference. According to current reference BIAL no way to claim to 4th. CIAL can claim to 4th. So please retained it.

--Bijuts (talk) 10:56, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

I agree that BIAL is the fourth busiest in Overall. I jst request you to edit wiki according to reference given.

--Bijuts (talk) 11:05, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

I know u've very well knowledge with Indian Airports and I agree your edits. But as per AAI reference given, BIA claim 4th in Over all and CIAL in International. Right?

--Bijuts (talk) 11:21, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

AAI reference can be considered as a valid one if we donot have more valid references to cite. We cannot just assume that the facts listed there is right. You have to prove that using valid sources. Otherwise please tell, which is the 4th busiest airport in India in terms of International Traffic.

--Bijuts (talk) 11:32, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

I agree with you. Currently AAI 2007 Reference is the ultimate official reference. Right? So it should be retained according to this. Like our population figures in wiki still as per 2001 census and not as per projected population.

Educational institutes and places of worship may be mentioned. These are not commercial establishments. Shopping areas, banks, etc. are commercial establishments and addition of the same may be considered a promotion of the article.
Please do look into Chowdiah Memorial Hall article. You have just copied and pasted sentences from the source mentioned. This is a serious copyright violation. If it is not changed, other editors may tag the article for deletion.

Please give me detailed explanation, or point me to a source, as I dont want to waste time adding what I think is important information, if wikipedia thinks otherwise.

As far chowdiah is concerned, I have rephrased it, Please check. Ashok Bhat 06:44, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Sorry for butting in, but actually, mention of Educational institutes and places of worship are usually discouraged, unless it is very notable, and the article would suffer without mention of it. I haven't seen any policy or guideline relating to this, but this is from my experience. In any case, please do not list any material, as lists are frowned upon. If necessary, put it briefly in prose format. TheMikeWassup doc? 06:50, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Dear Mike and Abhishek, I understand the situation better. However I need more clarification. Have a look at two wiki pags http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bus_routes_in_London http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basaveshwaranagar http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_schools_in_Brent What do you think about these? This is about the entire city and we do have a similar one. Coming to Basaweshwar Nagar article, it has not been reviewed yet. I will review it and delete unnecessary sections of the article.
Coming to Chowdiah, just inserting commas in between and merging two sections does not make the article free from copy-vio. I have commented out the copy-vio sentences. Please write them in your own words. Why so serious? Talk to me 07:09, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
See, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bus_routes_in_London . This is specifically a list article. See WP:LIST for more info on these kinds of articles. And about Basaveshwaranagar, that article is poorly written. Don't keep that as a base. Hope this clarifies. TheMikeWassup doc? 07:12, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Hey guys, I thought I was cut out to share my knowledge and free time to betterment of the world. I also campaigned for it amongst my people and got them to contribute as well. But today's experience has woken me up. I used to think why Indian articles are so bad. I took up the task, added few articles myself, and thought of adding many more articles myself. Now I cannot continue when my contributions are removed with sufficient explanation. And I accept "based on my experience" explanation. Good bye and keep wondering why people dont contribute enough ! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ashok2102 (talkcontribs) 07:58, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

RE : Edits on Kerala

I understand reg "Recorded History". But the Parashurama legend is not mentioned in ANY of the so-called Puranas. Its a local legend not to mention that the much earlier Vamana Purana mentions Mahabali as a ruler in Kerala. Most importantly the Parashurama incident is also not backed up by any references whatsoever.

I was thinking a dilution was be better than a deletion. Since the Parshurama incident (IN THE PURANAS) is not supported I think that statement should also go. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SumerianPrince (talkcontribs) 16:18, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

May I know WHICH "Purana" refers to the Parashurama legend? I already said I was wrong on the "recorded history" thing. But there is NO reference supporting that the Puranas mention any such Parashurama legend.

I know about WIKI and related. I will have to report this to the Administrators. Its surprising that you find my inserting something unreferenced wrong but not the existence of another such.

How common people understand if a station is Jn, central, Cantt...except familiar with railways. It should be added. I dont want to irritate you. Take it as a request.SumerianPrince (talk) 16:58, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Jst wt. I will add tags according indianrail website. Thn, y u put CST for mumbai, central for MAS and TVC, Cantt...etc...?and you again reverted the trivia. Purpose of wiki to provide accurate infrmn, not our thoughts. It should be added. Even Mumbai city having more 4 major stations.

Kingfisher

Hey Abhishek. I updated some general news for KFA. You are attempting to delete it? Please note that the information updated is freely available in public domain and is genuine. Let me know if you have concerns. Cheers — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arunsingh16 (talkcontribs) 18:01, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Jan Shatabdi

Dear Abhishek,

Is there are two stations in the same name, we must mention the name clearly, otherwise it will create confusion. For eg: If we say Ernakulam station, its a common question that which ekm station (South or North). If you cannot agree with this, make a trip to EKM. So we should specify the station names with tags atleast for A1 Stations listed below (Here only SR stations):-

MAS, MS, SBC, ERS, ERN, CBE, TVC, ED and Important other stations in India etc.....

Also we can discuss and update the articles by maintaining a healthy relation. That will be better than arguments.

Kingfisher Wikipedia update

Hello Abhishek,

Yesterday I updated KFA for debt recast & grounded fleet that you immediately deleted and reported "Vandalism"???? Now following are the sources;

Grounded fleet : Various media reports (you can google it), Dr. Mallya's message on Twitter and other reports. As a matter of fact, I had also tagged this item as "citation needed" as I felt that certain postions of my write-up may require contribution from other users as well.

Debt Recast : Has been taken from what Kingfisher has filed with BSE. This information is authentic and available in public domain. You can (yourself) verify the same on BSE webstie. Debt Recast has been officially notified to all stock exchanges KFA is listed on and is very detailed.

If you are working for KFA to maintain the content on Wikipedia, then state so and I will not be keen in updating any articles on KFA page. Dont just report "Vandalism" or anything of that sort just because I am sharing something that is true and is in public knowledge already. Like rest of us, I also like to contribute on Wikipedia. I do not intend to put KFA in bad light or something of that sort – not my business and not my intention. Dont get judgemental too quickly. Should you want to communicate privately, my email id is arunsingh16@gmail.com.

Cheers – A. Singh — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arunsingh16 (talkcontribs) 11:00, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

Take is easy Abhishek. Why are you taking it personally? You neither own (or work) for KF or Wikipedia. We all are working towards sharing information with other like minded people. Once again, this information is PUBLICLY available (already).
OK point well taken and I will publish the same "Debt recast" topic in KFA page with proper citation. Will do that when I have time and I am sure no-one can have an objection to it then. As a matter of fact, there are more points on the BSE site (officially filed by KF to BSE & NSE) and is 100% authentic (every single word of it). Since the grounded fleet was compiled ONLY on information based from various media reports, I am not sure as to how much can I depend on that (plus Dr. Mallya's own twitter post that went to 269,000 followers).
For my academic knowledge sake, does all the information on any Wikipedia page has a citation already? And if not then how can you delete my posts? This question is not only for KF page, but in general. I am asking this to you since between me and you, you seem to be more experienced when it comes to Wikipedia.
Cheers — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arunsingh16 (talkcontribs) 17:01, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

As I said Abhishek, I am going to re-write the entire article once when I have time. Will do so perhaps tomorrow. Just for your information (since you asked), check out the official announcement made by KF (to BSE) for Debt Recast. http://www.bseindia.com/stockinfo/anndet.aspx?newsid=6fd4c155-d7ae-4e34-b2b9-0b3ceeeaf9cd&param1=1 I was not just making a vague statement and I am sure no one can dispute this source. I think I should have done this earlier but could not help as I did not know that citation is MANDATORY in such cases. I will drop you a line (I am sure you will notice before I send you a message) when I post the write-up on Wiki Page. Have a good evening.
Cheers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arunsingh16 (talkcontribs) 17:36, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

Kingdom of Mysore Reflist

I added the reflist because someone put a reference with ref tags in the reference section, below the reflist template. This created a cite error. Any idea how to fix this without adding another reflist? Yiosie 2356 05:45, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

I infact removed the reference itself coz it's not an appropriate one. The reference that was given was about the book and author and revies of the book from google books. And besides we should not be citing anuthing below the section that contains references. Why so serious? Talk to me 05:48, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

Editing warnings ??

whats wrong with the following content ?? I tried to change it but it is reverting back ?

Other temples

Apart from the above famous temples, the other temples built between the 16th and 19th centuries are also numerous and some of the well known ones with interesting history are the 1) Karanji Anjaneya in Basavanagudi, 2) Bande Mahakali, 3) Pralayakalada Veerabhadra, 4) Kalabhairava in Gavipura Guttahalli, 5) Basaveshwara in the fort (shifted to Mamulpet), 6) Anjaneya at Yelahanka Gate (at Avenue road crossing), 7) Dharmaraya at the end of OTC Road, 8) Ranganathaswamy in Balepete. 9) Kadu Malleswara temple at Malleswaram, 10) Kote Venkataramanaswamy (Srinivasa) temple (1690) adjoining Tippu Sultan's Palace, Kasi Vishveshwara temple (1840) in Balepete 11) Bennekrishna temple at Tulasi Thota, 12) Mookambika Temple in Mahalakshmi Layout famous for its oracular powers.

Also there are lots of beautiful temples (1900s and later) in Bangalore which include

1) The ISKCON temple in Mahalakshmi Layout 2) Banashankari Temple on Kanakapura Road near Jayanagar 7th Block 3) Ragigudda Anjaneya Temple in Jayanagar 9th Block. 4) Karya Siddhi Anjaneya Temple, Girinagar 5) Shiva temple, HAL Airport Road. 6) Shree Surya Narayana Swamy Temple, Domlur

Many temples have been built by ordinary citizens and the most popular temples listed are that of Hanuman (the monkey God), 635 numbers, and the oldest of them is reported to be the Anjaneya temple on Mysore Road, said to have been established in 1425 by Vyasaraja. It is also common to find lot many Ganesha and Shiva temples in and around Bangalore.

Sabsetez (talk) 09:31, 28 January 2011 (UTC)sabsetez

First of all you cannot use peacock terms in the article as you did. Besides, the article already consists a list of temples and that is sufficient. Adding too many temples makes the article too long and violates the basic rule at WP:L. Why so serious? Talk to me 09:36, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Ok if it is peacock term you could have taken the beautiful term off. But has to be told in the same page you can spot quite a few such terms like exquisite in the very same page(Holy Trinity Church).

I dont agree that putting in more information about temples is a problem with wiki. Instead of deleting the edit you could have instead suggested adding a new page for newer temples(post-1900s) with a link from the present page. A solution is more better than plain delete and is in the spirit of wiki !

Also I saw before my edit that ISKCON temple was included among the 19th century temple which is factually incorrect which prompted me to include a new page for recent temples. Also some wrong numbering. Having little bit more information is desirable more than having incorrect information, I presume.

Using Rollback

Abhishek, exercise caution while using the Rollback option. Using it for undoing edits that are not overtly vandalism (like undue or unsourced edits etc) is generally frowned upon. --Sodabottle (talk) 05:38, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

Which article(s) that I have used rollback are you talking about? Could you be specific? For unsourced contributions, I usually use Twinkle or Huggle with the edit summary Revert dubious unsourced content or Revert unexplained addition and/or removal of content. If I have ended up misusing it, I am sorry and I will be careful about it from now on.
And if you don't mind, could you please review this article Civil Service in early India. The author contested the prod, but hasn't explained why he did the same. I have sent him a message to explain his removal of the prod on the talk page. Does the article have to be AfD'ed. And about the title should it be Civil service in India instead of Civil Service in early India? Why so serious? Talk to me 07:17, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
I saw this edit and left this message. You are using huggle, but the edit summary looks like a straight revert. I will take a look at the civil service article. At a cursory look, i believe it nees a better title but looks like there is scope for a proper article--Sodabottle (talk) 07:41, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
First of all what makes me wonder is that you are posting the message on using rollback like as if I keep using it for every revert. Besides, I see there are several times other editors use rollback with the same edit summary! I am not arguing that you have posted something wrong. But if I had a history of doing the same and then you posted, it would have had some meaning. Since you had already reverted this user's edits previously and explaining why, I felt it wasn't necessary in doing the same. By the way I even hit the user's talk page immediately regarding those edits. The strange part is that Zuggernaught reverted my edits (reinstated edits by User:Bugnot which you previously reverted) and you did not remove them! Why so serious? Talk to me 03:41, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
I am just trying to help you. As someone who has the rollback and has been friendly warned for exactly the same kind of its usage as i pointed above and as someone who sees such usage being called "rollback abuse" at WP:ANI routinely, i am only trying to pass on the advice someone gave when i first started using rollback. I am not templating you or warning you. As you are actively involved in anti-vandalism activities, sooner or later a frustrated vandal/pov pusher will try to use this against you. (Once they learn wikilawyering)
Secondly my first undo of the bugnot's edits (not revert) was with an edit summary "undue in the lead". He next inserted it into the "economy section". You reverted it, Zuggernaut undoes it. I took a look, saw it was not in the lead, so copyedited and clarified it. IMO the additions to the economy section were legit and well sourced.--Sodabottle (talk) 04:07, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

I very rarely use my rollback with this edit summary. Anyways, I'll keep in mind and even if I am using Huggle, I'll provide a proper summary if I'm reverting any edits. Why so serious? Talk to me 04:14, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

BMTC deletion

Deleted Suvarna routes as they do not provide and specific service as of now and are on par with ordinary-they are in process of conversion — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ss87 (talkcontribs) 15:22, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

As you can see the section is about Types of buses and not classes of service in specific. Suvarna type buses do exist. The least you should have done is modified the para instead of deleting it.
And your edits here are considered disruptive. Why did you remove 138 from the list? Addition of the frequency column is unnecessary. Please stop your disruptive editing, else I'll have to report to the admins about the same. Why so serious? Talk to me 15:30, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

You are right-but 205 and 205A are discontinued after introduction of K-1,2 and 3. Thats why i made it so that 205 and 205A are deleted from list — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ss87 (talkcontribs) 15:50, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

205 and 205A were long withdrawn even before the introduction of K1, K2, and K3. The least you could have done is removed 205 and 205A instead of adding false information. And finally please sign your posts and stop creating new threads every time you post a message here. Post in the previous thread itself. Why so serious? Talk to me 15:54, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

Regarding BMTC routes:

Now that the heading has been made general I am hereby planning to make it a gist of routes instead of mentioning each and every route there. A set of routes generally travel to one area in Bangalore. Hence listing the same as a range and area covered will be better rather than to list out individually. Eg: Buses 11-14: Banashankari. Exception: 12B turns at Hunesamara one stop before Banashanakri. Or 303-320: Old madras road atleast up to NGEF. Exception: 314 series turn to CV Raman Nagar etc. BMTC runs so many routes raning A-Z or even 2 alphabets in certain cases and it is not possible to list all of them — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ss87 (talkcontribs) 13:08, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

Probably to check it out-it was started as Metro bus service by-passing Central bus stands-that was the main motive when it was introduced in 2006. Please get info right

And by the way you havent replied to whether i can post the summary-waiting for same to edit the page.

Regarding 314 series turning at BEML gate i had just given the example of how it would be. Old madras road I considered right after the bus crosses Ulsoor as buses like 138/139 previusly ran on CMH road and were diverted because of Metro and 314 alsways ran on OMR and entered into Indiranagar

First of all I did not remove your additions. Coming to why your additions were removed,
  1. They were giving undue weightage to a particular sub topic.
  2. India is a featured article. If you want to add any images or make any changes in the conyent, you have to discuss on the talk page first.
  3. You ended up breaking the link to India national cricket team with your edits.

So I am requesting to add this information or someone else who can do this.Because it is one of the big milestone achieve by India and it must be updated.Around last 8 years any country is unable to dominate the cricket but finally india displace australia.I know if i tried again there may be some more or similar mistake so please if you can do it is much better or some else who is original creator or editor of this article should do it.It not only adding to India but make wikis up to date.

Thank you for your reply.

--Club[0].......99 09:26, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

The point is that India is an article on the country India and not merely on Indian cricket. By adding the info on being the no 1 test team in the world, it gives undue weightage to the sports section and in particular about cricket. Any article should be giving undue weightage on a specific issue. There is a separate article on Indian cricket. Please read that article and if the test record is not mentioned anywhere, you may mention it but by adding source(s) that are reliable and verifiable. If you still believe that the test record has to be mentioned in India article, please start a discussion on the talk page. Why so serious? Talk to me 10:43, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

An orphan is an article that has little or no links to other articles in wikipedia. The {{orphan}} tag was added by an automated tool I use called Auto Wiki Browser. When an article has sufficient links to other articles, then tools when run on the article will remove the {{orphan}} tag. I re-ran the tool, but it did not remove the {{orphan}} tag, which means that it needs some more links. BTW regarding your signature "Club[0].......99", are you just typing "Club[0].......99" it? If yes please do not do it. It is still considered that you are not signing posts because SineBot keeps signing on your behalf. But you should not be allowing it to do it for you all the time. At the end of the messasge you have posted, type four tildes (obtained by holding SHIFT and the ` key (the key next to numeral 1 or just above tab key)). It looks like this: ~ .
