I think the article is not written in neutral point-of-view language and can benefit from an outside perspective. I don't know anything about Armenian illumination, and I have no books on the subject, so I tagged it so someone who knows something about the subject can find and help rewrite it. Hey, I think that this should be here because in some area she already is kinda' famous, and people do wonder who she is, as well as she is probably going to become one of the World's legendary singers, but even for now, I think that it should stay because I feel a page is deserved for her, so people so read up on the 'special one' that they've heard about, because they have heard of her, and a lot of people have seen her perform, and they want to read up on her - you know, the usual thing. So if you could help me build it up better or something, then that'd help a lot, but it shouldn't be deleted, I'm telling you now, that would be a bad mistake! She is notable, and there should be a page about her, and this such thing would please the public a lot!

If the article's subject meets Wikipedia's notability criteria, the way to handle that is to put a {{hangon}} tag on the article, and then edit it to provide a reliable source that shows it. Inappropriate

High, and thanks for the message. The reason that it is inappropriate is that it would give the impression that the name is established, while it is not. If Hadith of the Umrah of Sa'd is not an official name, then the fact that the Wikipedia article about it is named that lends as much credance to the name as any text that appears within the article, if not more. The article should be under the same name as it would appear under in any other encyclopedia, and if the name is unofficial or controversial then that should be discussed in the article. However, the Manual of Style is called so because it's about style and not contents. Regardless of whether a name is official or not, it should appear as I have formatted it. The point is that it does not have a name, and that is explicitly told in the lead with the following text: Although the narration is prominently quoted and referred to, it is not given any formal name, in contrast to other hadith such as the Hadith of the pond of Khumm or the Hadith of Qur'an and Sunnah. --Striver - talk 03:33, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

I didn't delete anything, actually. I thought something might have been deleted by accident, but I looked back at the last edit before mine and nothing was. All I did was apply the format accepted in Wikipedia's guidelines (such as the Manual of Style): added wikilinks and markup and tagged the article as needing more references from other articles. If you check the history of the article you'll see that I'm not the one who added the notability tag to the article. I only wikified it.

However, foreign language Wikipedia articles might not be enough, since wiki sites can't be used as reliable sources. Did you read the notability guidelines? Evil Inc

Lea,

Please forgive me if I am posting to the wrong individual or posting incorrectly.

If you are responsible for deleting the article on my daily comic strip, Evil Inc, may I ask you to reconsider that decision?

As I have posted on the page, Evil Inc is not a webcomic, it is a newspaper comic strip with a Web presence.

Evil Inc is a daily comic strip that has over 11,000 daily readers (as of Jan. 2007). It is a spin-off of my first comic, Greystone Inn, which was launched Feb 2000.

Later this month, I will celebrate seven years of creating a daily comic strip on a Monday-through-Saturday schedule. That's over 2,000 comics.

Evil Inc appears in several daily newspapers -- as did Greystone Inn. My two other comic projects, Courting Disaster and Phables, appear in newspapers (including the Philadelphia Daily News) as well.

The Philadelphia Daily News is the largest newspaper to carry these comics. It has a daily circulation of roughly 130,000. Newspaper readers are not included in the estimate of daily readers cited above. Adding even 1% of the circulation, though, adds another thousand or so daily readers.

There are two Evil Inc graphic novels, distributed worldwide by Diamond Distribution.

I am also the author of "The Everything Cartooning Book," published and distributed worldwide by Adams Media.

I find the Wikipedia entry on my strip to be a good resource for new readers. I would be very disappointed to see it disappear.

1. I am not responsible for deleting articles. Only administrators can delete articles. I am not even the one that put a deletion tag on the article in question. I have not even read the article in question. I saw a query by a new user and attempted to respond to it as best I could.
2. Volume of readership does not establish notability. Please be aware that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and a decision to delete an article about a subject is not a judgement of its worth, but of its corresponding to the roughly objective criteria of encyclopedi notability -- having been the subject of several independent works by reliable, notable sources. Encyclopedic notability needs to be asserted immediately as an article is created to prevent it from being deleted.
3. As said, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. I'm not sure what you mean by "resource for new readers," but it can be mistaken for advertising, which is not what Wikipedia is for, or fanlisting, which is also not what Wikipedia is for.
4. If you are the creator of the comic strip in question, you should avoid editing articles about yourself or your creations, because it constitutes a conflict of interest.

License tagging for Image:DAKAN.jpg

Abortion in Israel

Thank you for the enlightening me as to public opinion on abortion in Israel. I suppose, given how common opinion polls and such are in North American media, I assumed that the trend would carry over internationally, and that my failure to locate such polls was chiefly due to my inability to read languages other than English.

As for reformatting your cites, chalk it up to my obsessive-compulsive need to format everything in a quasi-APA style. Feel free to restore your cites to the previous citation style if you would like.

Ivo Lukačovič missorting

Your edit summary in this edit is flirting with incivility at the least: (Really, tagging with a normal stub template and categorizing are not that difficult.)

But it really is much worse than that, when after making that edit, you go and add [[Category:Living people|Lukačovič, Ivo]] and three other categories with the same sort key.

Yes, it really isn't that difficult. At least if you put a minimal amount of effort into it. Go read up on it at Wikipedia:Categorization. When I originally deleted it, I removed it from templates and userpages. If people want to re-add themselves to nonexistant categories, not much I can do about it. If you look again at the page I've created, you'll see I listed the exact reasons why I suspect User:Curvedtalk is a sockpuppet or meatpuppet. You are more than welcome to contact an administrator, as that's the purpose of WP:SSP. Administrators can review the links I provided and decide whether my suspicions are correct or not. This is not, in fact, slander. Rather, I'm following Wikipedia convention on what to do when a new user seems to be a single purpose account. By submitting the matter for inquiry I have said my piece, and will sit back and allow administrators and other users to examine the situation. Thank you. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use.
