Information icon Hello, I'm Hummerrocket. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Steve (Minecraft)—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. Hummerrocket (talk) 20:01, 7 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Fireboy and Watergirl (series), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ... discospinster talk 16:43, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on VocabularySpellingCity requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.) that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. So you put the source I found in, then commented it out, then later left it out during an edit so now the article has the same number of sources it had before? I'm confused. Was that deliberate, was it not any good?  Card Zero  (talk) 22:46, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Card Zero I didn't think it was reliable, so I removed it. you can add it back if you want. LeGoldenBoots (talk) 10:40, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know, I seem less judgemental about sources than other editors, so I wouldn't like to decide. I hate it when people cruise past an article, though, and leave all these tags like "needs additional references" on it, without interacting or specifying. We currently have a backlog of 430 thousand articles needing that kind of "maintenance", and that's only one tag. Most of them have had the tag for at least 6 years. I don't think this is a good system, I think instead of using tags as an automated way of complaining, people should WP:SOFIXIT, or at least explain in detail what they want and how the complaint can be satisfied. Here you've dutifully gone looking for references, found a reference, then didn't use it out of fear that it would attract a further complaint. Why do we have a system that generates FUD? I hope the article can exist in peace now, anyway, it looks fine to me (but what do I know).  Card Zero  (talk) 12:11, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Help on finding third-party reliable sources

[edit]

Hey so i see that some of your more recent articles have problems finding secondary reliable sources, let me suggest a form of google that would be perfect for your situation https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=003516479746865699832:leawcwkqifq, this is a special type of google that is programmed to only show reliable sources, hope this helps LucianMaganBall (talk) 14:39, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
