Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 11:07, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback on initial edits

[edit]

Well done for starting to edit Wikipedia. Some points to help:

  • note the reversion of your edits on Adele in Munich, and the reasons why. See the page View History at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Adele_in_Munich&action=history
  • note the feedback on your Article for creation, which was your Sandbox content accidently submitted for review and publication. This process is for draft articles, not Sandbox content.
  • note the removal of the link out added to MacBook Air to the page on Apple. You link out only once, when the linked term is first used on the page. In this case the link had already been made earlier in the text. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking
  • note the removal of the link out to China on the page Catharina Weiss, which is termed 'over-linking'. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking
  • note the removal of the reference added to the page on Amami Ōshima which created the following incorrect reference highlighted in red:

References

1. Template:Cite web 'Bold text'

Anything highlighted in red is an issue which needs resolving. Check edits, including references, before publishing them and correct them if wrong.
