If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rudaw Media Network, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Unforgettableid (talk) 06:56, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've removed the tag, which has been applied by an editor who seems to be having some trouble understanding speedy deletion criteria. There's nothing even remotely promotional about the text -- this one is truly baffling in its ignorance of what G11 means -- and I've been able to find news coverage about the media group rather easily. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 15:09, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Rudaw Media Network has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

CSD A7: This is an article about an organization, but the article does not indicate why its subject is important or significant. Before contesting this deletion, please cite multiple independent sources which include significant coverage discussing the organization. Do not cite http://www.rudaw.net/ please. See also WP:42.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Unforgettableid (talk) 05:14, 9 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Which I've removed, as well. I believe a full WP:AFD is preferable, based on what I've seen in a Google News Archive search for this company. No doubt that will be next, as the editor seems committed to deleting this article at all costs. We'll see what consensus says. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 14:14, 9 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Mohammed, this biography is not match Wikipedia guidelines for writing a biography article. That is why no matter how much we try, it will be deleted. If we try so much, there will be a possible for being banned by english wikipedia admins. In short, we can't write about everyone here, the person should be known with many refs over the internet. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Simko Ahmed, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Equality. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Deletion discussion about Shwan Attoof

[edit]

Hello Kushared, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Shwan Attoof, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shwan Attoof.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|SafariScribe}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!
