Pichu
[edit]Ahaha, actually, I never made much progress with Pichu, but looking at the content you've scrounged up, it's definitely doable; that's a good start for conception information. [edit]Yep, I'll do my best. I may be biased but I've searched for sources before and there is what I'd call sufficient coverage on him out there, just been far too lazy to fix the article until now. Thanks. --Monere (talk) 12:30, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Misunderstanding!
[edit]I am sorry for the edit I made but one most remember that if we give users to much freedom on this site they will begin to walk all over the rules. You will not be censored be me again, but your reply does beg the question of why some individuals are banned for profanity and some are not? What is an account holder to make of these double standards that wikipedia seems to allow, are there no rules at all on wiki?Fakecatholic (talk) 16:43, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

Unseen characters
[edit]Personally, I feel that he qualifies as unseen by the fact that for the majority of the game, we never see him in full form, kind of like with GLaDOS. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 18:41, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
- Mmmm, I dunno. I think if the characters are well-noted as being unseen characters - like for GLaDOS, so many critics/players consider GLaDOS as an unseen character - I think the exception can be made. GLaDOS is famous for being unseen, and while she does appear at the end, it's more the unseen parts that made her famous. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Rayquaza former citation style
[edit]For that reference style that you could not "make heads or tails of", please see WP:CITESHORT. Cheers! Scapler (talk) 21:25, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
- If I can cut in, while that style can be useful it applies only to printed materials, not sources that can be found online (of which there were a very great many). See U2 for an example. MelicansMatkin (talk, contributions) 21:38, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
- I more adhere to it because "they avoid the inevitable clutter when long citations are inserted into the source text". I wasn't opposed to changing it, however, as it appears there is probably consensus for it, and it matches the other Pokémon article referencing styles. I feel like I should apologize to Kung Fu Man; upon reading my comment above, it seems sort of rude, which was not my intention at all, merely to inform. - Yah, that style of referencing is for if you are refering to multiple different pages in one book. You could have the book information listed separate from the reflist, where you just have the page number.. Blake (Talk·Edits) 22:41, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

You mentioned a lack of news results for Wally Week being a contributing factor for the redirect of this page to Mikro-Gen, do a couple of articles in Crash and Your Sinclair not count to making the character even a little notable?

One Winged Angel
[edit]Unfortunately, there's not really enough out there to support an article on the song- you'd think there would be, but the majority of sources that mention it just say the same thing, that it's an "iconic song" that is the "most popular" Final Fantasy song. You basically would end up with the second paragraph of the creation section of Music of the Final Fantasy VII series, plus a paragraph or two of reception that mostly says the same thing over and over, and that's about it. There's just not that many reliable sources that discuss video game music out there, even if you stretch the definition. --PresN 18:49, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Template:Copied at Talk:Nemesis (Resident Evil)
[edit]Hi. I noticed that you removed the {{Copied}} at Talk:Nemesis (Resident Evil). Since some content (the EGM list) came from the list article's history, attribution must be maintained. The relevant guideline is WP:Copying within Wikipedia. I wrote an examination of the Nemesis content's multiple-article history at WT:Articles for deletion/List of creatures in the Resident Evil series (2nd nomination), but I haven't implemented my dummy edit workaround. I'm pretty confident in that analysis, but let me know of any errors. Flatscan (talk) 04:40, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
Paine
[edit]I don't really understand the logic to remove voice acting information from her reception. I don't see why such information is less relevant than the reception that was left in the article; the information is directly related to her, and it could be said that the quality of her voice acting relied on the actor's attempt to speak in such a way that she expects the character to. I've never understood this; if a character wins an award, it is true that the source material would share credit, but the reception came from the general quality of the character, not the game. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 18:40, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
- That's an interesting point. Come on, let's get into character. [aka - point taken.] Perhaps though we could make a quick mention of her voice acting quality? I mean, it's not entirely out of the question, don't you think?
- And on an unrelated note, I did a massive dump of Bowser reception; you're far more knowledgeable with what's good for sources, and much better at picking what's good for reception than I, so if you have any spare time could you spare a hand? - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 08:07, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
Hello! It is not true that "not a single thing's been done to improve the article." Please note these additions. As with last time, I do usually add material to the articles under discussion and do not only template them and comment in the discussion. Thank you. Sincerely, --A NobodyMy talk 18:25, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
- Yes because adding reception that has nothing to do with the actual characters is a great improvement (and please note by that I mean characters on the list. Bowser and so forth have their own articles). You basically did a block quote that ends up having less to do with the article at hand than improving it. What do puzzles have to do with the character list? Nothing. It just looks big so your best bet is to hope nobody gives it a critical read and is satisfied with the end results at a glance, and the same issues being brought up by other editors still persist.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 19:20, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

Question
[edit]I'm currently trimming Rikku's reception. Do you think she warrants more mention of her voice actor due to being a pretty well-known voice actor, the award she received for her portrayal, and for appearing multiple times to voice her? - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 20:21, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
I think the time has come for this article to meet its cleaner, given that the plot section now runs to nearly 7,000 words across nearly 40 paragraphs, and that the article has only one decent reference at present. Its become a right mess. I'll still have to work on the finishing touches to Elaine's article, as well as get some cleanup work on Tales of Monkey Island now that's fully released, I was rather hoping you might be willing to lend a hand with finding sources—particularly reception—for LeChuck: you're better at source-finding than I am. -- Sabre (talk) 22:52, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

Resident Evil characters
[edit]Hello! I notice on your userpage that you list Nemesis (Resident Evil) as an A-article you contributed to. Please note my workspace at User_talk:A_Nobody/List_of_decisive_battles#Resident_Evil_series. Anyway, would you like to collaborate on getting the most significant characters from the series to DYK class? The two most "notable" female characters would have to be Jill Valentine and Claire Redfield (they appear as playable characters in multiple games, appear in the movie versions, and have multiple toys made of them and therefore we should be able to find sources on their appearances in the games, movies, and as toys) and probably Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield for the guys (the former appears in the animated movie and the latter as an action figure; both are main characters in multiple games). The others listed on my userfied page have potential, but I can accept them being in the character lists. Jilly, Claire, Leon, and Chris have the greatest likelihood of working as stand alone articles (I wouldn't be surprised if they don't appear in some top ten lists as well, which incidentally, while taking care of an ill family member, I have been going through back issues of Game Informer, Electronic Gaming Monthly, etc. to compile a master list of all of their top ten lists and if you are curious what I have discovered thus far, drop me an email; I figure no one can challenge the reliability of these particular magazines; I have been working with another on this as well as seen at User_talk:A_Nobody/Archive_25#Source_request).
For example, we have something like “the top 10 boss fights,” GameInformer 181 (May 2008): 20, which lists "9 Garrador (Resident Evil 4) Of all the tense battles in the game, there was nothing quite like the sense of being hunted in your first encounter with the vicious Garrador. These berserk and sound-sensitive gladiators could easily tear you apart with their metal claws, so you needed to drive them into a frenzy by ringing nearby bells. We still remember the terror in that brief moment when we realized the Garrador had pinpointed our location and was ready to strike." This listing and commentary could form the basis of a reception section on this character. Now for the plot section of the article on the character, the Bradygames Signature Series Guide devotes all of page 14 (three big paragraphs) specifically to this character and goes beyond just strategy type of information (noting for example the name's meaning ("man with claws"), i.e. we have two print reliable sources that provide out of universe commentary and importance. Next would be to see what kind of development information exists, but for a number of characters beyond Nemesis, we have some good sources out there. Something else to look at is “WTFiction!? Deciphering silly stories” by Jeremy Parish spread out across Electronic Gaming Monthly 221 (November 2007), Electronic Gaming Monthly 222 (December 2007), Electronic Gaming Monthly 223 (Holiday 2007), Electronic Gaming Monthly 224 (January 2008), and Electronic Gaming Monthly 225 (February 2008). Each of the installements devotes at least two full pages entirely to the items on the below list and includes (in the case of the above cited Resident Evil characters listings/commentaries on several characters, locations, weapons, etc.:
- No. 5: Xenogears
- No. 4: Mega Man
- No. 3: Final Fantasy VII
- No. 2: Resident Evil
- No. 1: Metal Gear
Anyway, I think the above are some priority articles and I am inspired after they said in a review of The Darkside Chronicles on X-Play something to the effect of needing to check Wikipedia for all the back story. Also, I received the collector's edition of Resident Evil 5 for Christmas (we give out some gifts early) and it has a DVD documentary bonus figures with all sorts of interviews on the characters, even the non-playable ones like Excella. Please note that I am working with another editor whom you seem friends with on this as well and I am confident he would welcome your help to. [edit]Well, I added that with the intention of making it less about Haunter and more about the Gastly line. I think that the three of them are similar enough that the contents don't deviate too much. In regard to the specific source, I don't think it really applies in the sense of "mentioning a few handful of Pokémon" as examples; If all they did was mention Gengar as having a strange appeal to him along with Chansey and Cubone that'd be one thing, but they also explain the appeal to him. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! - I should finish up the development and promotion section soon. After that, I'll start piecing together the reception content I have. I noticed the prose's flow is off in some areas. Somethings are referenced once and then again like it's the first time, or different sections don't match up well. Basically the new content will need a good copy edit. (Guyinblack25 talk 17:19, 17 February 2010 (UTC))

[edit]Could it be a FA article, I think it is almost there. You said in a previos FAC that it need a section talking about Development, but do we have the information? [edit]Hi. While waiting for Sonic and the Secret Rings to get a GA review, I've been working on the following article: Digimon Racing. You can probably guess that there isn't much out there about it in terms of RS's. You're experienced in this business, so can you quickly look at it and tell me any glaring changes that need to be made, or just anything you notice? I don't think there would be much point to doing a full peer review. Whatever you can tell me is appreciated. Tezero (talk) 05:47, 27 March 2010 (UTC) Update: It's at peer review now, here. [edit]It's me Logicartery your friend from the Soul Calibur times. Just a question, I've seen you on the MobyGames external links discussion regarding the user Larson. Is it really bad to include mobygames link to ELs? I didn't particularly added some but he removed them on one article I'm somewhat adjusting. Template:Copied at Mercenaries articles
[edit]Hi, I noticed that you removed {{Copied}} templates from the Talk pages of Jennifer Mui and Mattias Nilsson (Mercenaries). I previously contacted you at #Template:Copied at Talk:Nemesis (Resident Evil) above. I prefer to keep them even if the copied content has been removed, since it may be restored from the history. If the wording is an issue, I would be happy to work on a template parameter to represent this state. Thanks. Flatscan (talk) 04:17, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
RE:Quick bit about Lara Croft
[edit]That was part of the article when I started working on it, and I agree that it's out of place. The development section would be the best place for it. The source for the "increasingly bloodthirsty" content should be removed along with the two sentences. But without it, the content about feeling guilty in Anniversary doesn't make as much sense. I've meant to try to track down the game source to see how to rewrite that bit as I don't want to just cut and paste. The article is choppy enough in several areas from my edits already. (Guyinblack25 talk 15:21, 7 June 2010 (UTC))
- Oh yeah, I was hoping you could put together a "Design" section that describes the character. I've never written one such section for a character before and believe you could do a much better and quicker job than I could. This IGN article is a good starting point, but feel free to write without sourcing. I guarantee I have print sources to back up any statement you could write from just looking at the character, past and present. (Guyinblack25 talk 15:28, 7 June 2010 (UTC))
I addressed the reception bit you mentioned. I'll probably added more from the Arcade: The Videogame Magazine source in "Further reading" and Getting the Girl in "External links". But I'd say the article is good enough for GAN right now, and hopefully FAC afterward. Regardless, I hope you can give it a copy edit to ensure high quality. (Guyinblack25 talk 14:00, 18 June 2010 (UTC))
- Thanks for the help. Appreciate it. (Guyinblack25 talk 15:57, 18 June 2010 (UTC))
- FYI- I put the article up for GA. I figured it's far enough along to do well at GAN. I understand that real life is more pressing, but I hope you can give it a copy edit before it goes to FAC.
- Also, what are your thoughts on character backstories? Lara Croft's is not described in the article, but there are references to it in other sections. (Guyinblack25 talk 14:44, 23 June 2010 (UTC))
WölffReik on the Mercenary pages
[edit]Hi. I see you've been involved with these. You've had some talk with WölffReik about these, right? I've reverted his last disinterring of several of the character articles. I'm not quite clear on the merge/AfD status on these but believe whatever worthwhile bits have been merged somewhere. I'm open to suggestion as to how we should handle this. Cheers, Jack Merridew 23:47, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
- I have reverted again too. Wolff is operating against at least three editors, along with the consensus in the AFD that a stand alone article is inappropriate. But rather than enflaming the discussion further, perhaps we should get a third opinion. Either at the fiction or notability noticeboards, or at the video game wikiproject. 24.114.232.35 (talk) 16:34, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
The Final Fantasy Legend
[edit]Wrapped up copyediting. I looked out for the usual suspects that get crucified at FAC, like additionally/with & while in some usages/including in some usages. I also made the lead more conventional and tried to deal with some overlinking, which I absolutely got hammered for at my last FAC (hah, back then, I didn't realize it could be such an issue). Feel free to revert any of the changes to better represent the source material or improve flow. ZeaLitY [ Talk - Activity ] 07:03, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

Re Tifa
[edit]Sorry, I was confused due to all the reverts I did last day with the Fullmetal Alchemist articles so I did not realize I was doing the opposite. And considering that FFVII had to many adult themes like Cid's way of treating his woman or Cloud going to a mansion that has... it does not seem strange that the staff thought of doing that scene.Tintor2 (talk) 16:15, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
You are now a Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Karanacs (talk) 17:27, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Romanization for words of English origin
[edit]On the MOS:JP talk page, a discussion has been started about including or not including romanizations for words of English origin, such as Fainaru Fantajī in Final Fantasy (ファイナルファンタジー, Fainaru Fantajī) (for the sake of simplicity, I called this case "words of English origin", more information on semantics here).
Over the course of a month, it has become apparent that both the parties proposing to include or not include those romanizations cannot be convinced by the arguments or guidelines brought up by the other side. Therefore, a compromise is trying to be found that will satisfy both parties. One suggestion on a compromise has been given already, but it has not found unanimous agreement, so additional compromises are encouraged to be suggested.
One universally accepted point was to bring more users from the affected projects in to help achieve consensus, and you were one of those selected in the process.
What this invitation is:
- You should give feedback on the first suggested compromise and are highly encouraged to provide other solutions.
What this invitation is not:
- This is not a vote on including or excluding such romanizations.
- This is not a vote on compromises either.
It would be highly appreciated if you came over to the MOS:JP talk page and helped find a solution. Thank you in advance. Prime Blue (talk) 11:38, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Template:Soul series
[edit]Yeah, I can see why the characters don't really fit onto the template. However, what if we split the characters section into "Home" and "Guest" (or something similar). That way we could fit in all the guest characters without overcrowding the "real" Soul characters? Just a suggestion. Harry Blue5 (talk) 00:43, 2 April 2011 (UTC)

Final Fantasy Legend release dates
[edit]I understand your justification for questioning Nintendo's original release date, but where one Earth did the July 1998 re-release date come from? I mean, even the IGN review was done in June of that year and states that its reviewing the re-release copy of the game. How could they be reviewing if it hasn't been released? Orphaned non-free image File:Kano-render.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Kano-render.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Image strengthening
[edit]I've found that a lot of good articles and probably a lot of featured articles (I haven't check them yet) are abusing the use of copyrighted images on Wikipedia (for example, I've seen several articles that use three images to visualize content in the article even though the first image demonstrates everything that the other two images are trying to do). Would you be interested in helping fix this problem? - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 18:39, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
About someone reverting the merge of Kano (Mortal Kombat)
[edit]Personally, I agree with the merge, so I say you should keep reverting it back until he gets any real notability and not just the fatality stuff, and more than just 9 references for that matter (pretty bad for an almost 20-years old character). --194.145.185.229 (talk) 14:06, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
Well, I thought Noob has his own article and its doubling the content
[edit]And well, he HAS his own article. So maybe you get rid of it, and i'll remove the link there. BUT the merging needs work because Kano entry on the list really is a mess. --194.145.185.229 (talk) 14:25, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
I know - I see, you see
[edit]By "ridding of Noob" I meant redirecting into the list. (And then cleaning up his entry there.) --194.145.185.229 (talk) 14:31, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
Oh and if you care, the list of DOA characters needs a lot of work too. --194.145.185.229 (talk) 14:32, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Sorry about making all of those articles on flimsy information. It's just that when you get going, you just can't stop. Woobat
[edit]What happened here? You forgot to merge back its name and characteristics. Why did you not merge the reception? While it relates to Zubat, it is more focused on Woobat being a repeat, not Zubat being repeated. Also, why was Diglet and Dugtrio's reception not merged? Blake (Talk·Edits) 03:01, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

I think Lili (Tekken) needs to be merged
[edit]She's got no real reception, and the article itself is VERY bad too (like from several years ago), meanwhile I've seen a lot of Asuka Kazama but she has no article. --Barry Sandwich (talk) 13:16, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
Also Crimson Viper might be also considered for redirect (maybe). I think Carmen Sandiego (character) should be merged into Carmen Sandiego, because it's totally pointless in this case. --Barry Sandwich (talk) 13:20, 4 May 2011 (UTC)

Unclassification of Galatea
[edit]Kung fu, if you have concerns about the classifications of Galatea (video game) discuss them at the talk page instead of indulging in an edit war. And provide valid reasons for deletion; that the article or the "game itself is not fictional, ai nor female" is not a valid one; there are ample precedent for articles not directly about a character being included in Category:Fictional artificial intelligences, but also at Category:Female video game characters. Street Fighter articles
[edit]A user who was blocked had been redirecting some Street Fighter character articles such as Sakura Kasugano, Oro and Ibuki, but they are really stub and do not possess too much reception. I took a look at Sakura since it should be the one that more stuff, but after removing some original research, and trimming, the article was still a stub. Do you think they should it be merged once again? Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 01:54, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
September 2011
[edit]Hello! This is a note to let the main editors of this article know that it will be appearing as the main page featured article on September 14, 2011. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/September 14, 2011. If you think it is necessary to change the main date, you can request it with the featured article directors Raul654 (talk · contribs) or his delegate Dabomb87 (talk · contribs), or at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/requests. If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions of the suggested formatting. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad. :D Thanks! MissingNo. is a Pokémon species found in the video games Pokémon Red and Blue. Standing for "Missing Number", MissingNo. Pokémon are used as error handlers by game developer Game Freak; they appear when the game attempts to access data for a nonexistent Pokémon species. Due to the programming of three in-game events, players can encounter MissingNo. via a glitch. The species was first documented by Nintendo in the May 1999 issue of Nintendo Power. Encountering MissingNo. causes graphical errors and the mass replication of the sixth item in the player's item menu; the latter effect resulted in the glitch's coverage by strategy guides and game magazines. IGN has noted MissingNo.'s appearance in Pokémon Red and Blue as one of the most famous video game glitches. Fans of the series have attempted to rationalize MissingNo. as canon, which has sparked discussion in sociological studies about the impact of video games upon society. (more...)

Reply: Please assume some good faith
[edit]Oh, I see. I think before merging, you should have just brought that up first or something. I didn't even have to look very hard for those sources either, so if I looked harder, I'm sure I could probably find a few more too.
I don't really want to start any war with you either. I just didn't really see anything wrong with that Elena article (or the Lili one, for that matter) and even WP:N doesn't really say anything about "weak reception". Why do you insist on merging these articles so much anyway? If anything, merging does more harm than good and I know other editors here who agree with me. Kokoro20 (talk) 04:46, 4 November 2011 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification
[edit]Hi. When you recently edited Abobo's Big Adventure, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Wired and Arcade (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

RE:Free use and arcade cabinet pictures
[edit]I uploaded an image of the Simpson's arcade cabinet to Commons under the assumption that the cabinet was free because of utilitarian reasons. But the image was deleted because the artwork on the cabinet was non-free and not utilitarian. Copyrighted material is allowable if it is minimal and incidental to the image's topic. In this case, the artwork is a large chunk of the image and the topic. Something like File:Toby Gard - E3 2005.jpg is fine because the copyrighted material (the poster) is blurred, in the background, and mostly obscured.
The definition is kinda subjective, but I have to agree with Jinnai for this image. In fact, we should probably move similar arcade cabinet images from Commons to Wikipedia. :-\ Not fun, but it's the prudent thing to do. (Guyinblack25 talk 00:12, 18 January 2012 (UTC))

[edit]I am not able to understand why you are against a format which doesnt list the links to other characters just their names? Doesnt this format give more clarity? 65.218.181.189 (talk) 05:14, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
its not true that template is just a list of all present documents. Look at the templates of Car timelines. They are supposed to inform the duration they have been available. How about keeping the format but listing the characters in their respective lists. So that when other character pages are created then they can be added in their place rather than a mixture of random names. 65.218.181.189 (talk) 05:27, 26 January 2012 (UTC)

Merge reversions
[edit]Hi there. I came across some articles which you had apparently merged and redirected in 2008 and which another user has since reverted. The articles I know of are Blaze (Mortal Kombat), Taven, Shujinko, Hsu Hao, Kai (Mortal Kombat), Mokap, Onaga, Havik, Frost (Mortal Kombat) and Daegon, but there may be more. Would you mind looking into them. As far as I can tell, the consensus was that they be merged and redirected, on which basis I reverted the reversions. However, I don't know the full circumstances for the merge and have little idea where to find all the relevant discussions. I discovered these reversions because the reverter neglected to remove the merge tag, causing them to reappear in the merge backlog. Thank you. ClaretAsh 11:22, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

Raiden (Metal Gear) in peer review
[edit]I placed the article Raiden (Metal Gear) on a peer review some time ago, but got brief responses. Do you have any recommendations? I have doubts regarding whether creation section should be splitted. Also, I noticed that there are other sources commenting more on Raiden's role in in Metal Gear Solid 2 (he represents the player) as well as his actions in following game (how he is a different type of hero from main protagonist Solid Snake) and I was wondering whether it could listed as a sub-section within reception. Any thoughts? Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 02:53, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
Little update: I have added a small analysis subsection to the character's reception. It's my first time writing subsection on a reception section, so I wasn't sure whether it was okay or not. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 02:53, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. They made it up? Just like the personal-life details about her "hanging out with her friends and family, riding horses, rock climbing or volunteering"? They obviously talked to her before organizing this meeting with "all her fans".
The IMDb listing, as officially authorized by herself, is just an additional confirmation.

"Promotion" and "reader poll"
[edit]No, all commercial merchandise is developed to sell it and further profit, not to "promote a character". I don't know where you got such an outlandish idea, but simply speaking you're completely wrong.
Konami Battle was an official Konami event (so you shouldn't compare to anything at GameFAqs), and most of all shows how Konami chose her in first place as one of their 64 best characters ever, which was then affirmed by Konami fans, too.[6] --Niemti (talk) 08:41, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
Categories on redirects
[edit]Hello, I see you have removed some categories I've added to character pages that redirect to Characters in The Legend of Zelda series. I thought they were OK: it seems identical to the Coyote/Roadrunner example under Redirects whose target title is incompatible with the category. I think one could also argue its useful as subtopic categorization or categorization of list entries. However, there does seem to have been discussion about similar issues in the past. Therefore I thought it might be worth seeing if we could agree on the best course of action. You are obviously much more experience than me, so I was hoping you would be willing to share a little expertise. — BobQQ (talk) 12:52, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:SSFVega.png)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:SSFVega.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

WikiProject Good Articles Recruitment Centre
[edit] Hello! Now, some of you might have already received a similar message a little while ago regarding the Recruitment Centre, so if you have, there is no need to read the rest of this. This message is directed to users who have reviewed over 15 Good article nominations and are not part of WikiProject Good articles (the first message I sent out went to only WikiProject members).
So for those who haven't heard about the Recruitment Centre yet, you may be wondering why there is a Good article icon with a bunch of stars around it (to the right). The answer? WikiProject Good articles will be launching a Recruitment Centre very soon! The centre will allow all users to be taught how to review Good article nominations by experts just like you! However, in order for the Recruitment Centre to open in the first place, we need some volunteers:
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to seeing this program bring new reviewers to the Good article community and all the positive things it will bring along. A message will be sent out to all recruiters regarding the date when the Recruitment Centre will open when it is determined. The message will also contain some further details to clarify things that may be a bit confusing.--Dom497 (talk) This message was sent out by --EdwardsBot (talk) 15:06, 9 June 2013 (UTC) |

WP:FOUR RFC
[edit]There are two WP:RFCs at WP:FOUR. The first is to conflate issues so as to keep people from expressing meaningful opinions. The second, by me, is claimed to be less than neutral by proponents of the first. Please look at the second one, which I think is much better.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 07:03, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

Transphobic behavior in "Poison" article.
[edit]Hello, you are repeatedly defacing the "Poison" article by adding a transphobic slant, then claiming "censorship" when your content is removed. If you have concerns, please take them to the talk page rather than further blind RVing. Awk (talk) 07:39, 2 February 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Hello; I'd like to remind you, please double-check to make sure your edit summary matches the actual content of your edit. Here, you reverted back quite a few changes while claiming in the edit summary to be making only a small tweak. --Fran Rogers (talk) 05:04, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

Missingno.
[edit]Hey man, hope you're doing well. I wanted to alert you to this edit on Missingno. which introduces some reasonable content backed up by a reliable source. Obviously though, it definitely needs some copyediting, ref formatting, etc. to bring it up to par with the rest of the article, as well as scouring that source for more possible information to ensure the article remains comprehensive. I can try to take a look at it sometime this week/early next week when I get some time, but I thought you might like to take a stab at it when you get a chance. I'd really like to preserve the FA quality on this great article. Cheers, Artichoker[talk] 03:05, 19 March 2015 (UTC)

MissingNo.
[edit]Hello; you reverted my recently-made (29.4.2015) edits to the MissingNo. article. (I made this account in order to contact you.) Did I understand correctly that if there's no video footage (or other such verifiable evidence) of Shigeki Morimoto's interview, then what he said about 190 Pokémon originally being designed is not allowed to be posted on Wikipedia? It's quite obvious and – to my knowledge – generally accepted that this is why there are exactly 39 index values of MissingNo. (151+39 = 190), interspersed between valid Pokémon's index values. This information logically progressed to the main point of my edit, which was to point out that only some of the nonexistent Pokémon are MissingNo. – the remaining indexes (0 and 191–255) are occupied by other glitch Pokémon such as h POKÉ, 'M, PC 4 SH, 94, ゥ$ 6ゥ, etc. The current state of the article is misleading, as (although it doesn't explicitly say so,) it implicitly makes the reader assume that all invalid Pokémon are MissingNo..
I assume you also know that Missingno. exists in Yellow every bit as much as it does in Red and Blue. Would citing a Youtube video of Missingno. being encountered in Pokémon Yellow be considered a valid source, or how would I go about proving this for the purposes of the article?
