Your submission at Articles for creation: John Ho (July 27)
[edit]- If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:John Ho and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
- If you need any assistance, you can ask for help at the Articles for creation help desk or on the reviewer's talk page.
- You can also use Wikipedia's real-time chat help from experienced editors.
- I saw that you were asking for help on your Draft at the IRC channel. There's also the Teahouse where you can ask questions.
- For now, though, I'd like to suggest that you work on the draft by upgrading your references from bare URLs to using citation templates and, where there are repetitions, using named refs so that duplicates are consolidated. This is all covered in Help:Referencing for beginners and Help:Referencing for beginners with citation templates – it is an essential skill if you are to continue as a successful Wikipedia editor.
- Also, let me ask as gently as possible, what motivates you to write this article? If you're too closely associated with Ho or one of his companies, this could represent a conflict of interest that might get in the way of your editing in a neutral style.
- I know there's a lot to learn and it's very frustrating to have your efforts at creating an article declined. You should know that what you're attempting, creating an article from scratch, is quite a difficult task. One way to learn is to make small improvements to existing articles for a while, before digging in to create a new article. We can provide lots of suggestions for that, or you can pick your own from WP:Community portal. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 08:25, 27 July 2017 (UTC)
