Hello. Re this edit where you changed "Birmingham" to "Birmingham City" for content related to the 1930s. You probably weren't aware that City wasn't added to the club's name until 1943, so plain Birmingham was correct. I've changed it back. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 08:24, 1 January 2020 (UTC)

College football champion navboxes on bowl game articles
KingSkyLord, the college football championship teams navboxes, e.g. Template:1967 USC Trojans football navbox, do not belong on the articles for the bowl games won by those teams, e.g. 1968 Rose Bowl. Navboxes should generally only be transcluded on articles to which they link. Thanks, Jweiss11 (talk) 05:46, 11 January 2020 (UTC)

Categories
Just out of curiosity, why do you make edits solely comprising of changing the order of the categories? As far as I know there is no fixed way to order them. Nehme1499 (talk) 16:11, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Nehme1499, I usually check to see if there are any missing eligible categories (i.e. expatriate, playing career, managerial career, etc.) in the bottom of the page and add them accordingly. It's a lot easier for me to just sort them to figure what necessary categories to add and what unnecessary ones to delete. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 16:22, 1 April 2020 (UTC)

Copying content from one Wikipedia article to another
Hello. You probably didn't know that although we may copy content from one article to another, if we do we must provide attribution to all editors who created that content: see WP:Copying within Wikipedia for how and why. If you've copied stuff anywhere else, you'd be wise to go back and fix them: see WP:CWW#Repairing insufficient attribution (further down the same page) for help with that.
As to the Birmingham City managers list, I'm going to undo your change. Its lead section is definitely showing its age, but copy-pasting the opening para from a related but differently focused page isn't really a good way to improve it. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 17:26, 12 April 2020 (UTC)

Draft case
See MOS:CAPS, WP:NCCAPS, and this data. Dicklyon (talk) 00:01, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Dicklyon: No. The title of the main article and everything else in the category has the letter "D" capitalized, plus the full proper noun is "NFL Draft", which puts both MOS:CAPS and WP:NCCAPS in my favor. Also, that data of yours is pretty outdated by about 12 years. This chart shows that the capitalization of "Draft" hardly even matters and it might be best to play it safe and just use the case of the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC per WP:OFFICIAL. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 04:52, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
- The trends chart is not case sensitive. That's where book n-grams come in. I do realize that other stuff exists, but this is a generic context about the process, not the show. Dicklyon (talk) 14:49, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Dicklyon: Still, it would be a lot easier to just base the case of "Draft" on the primary topic per WP:TITLECON. Unlike other pages in Category:Drafts (sports), the D is capitalized for the NFL's draft. When referring to "draft picks" or "draftees", the d is lowercase, but when referring to the event specifically (i.e. the NFL Draft), the D should be capitalized. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 15:52, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, the NFL is a weird outlier there, due to the sneaky change in 2016; see Talk:2016_NFL_Draft#Requested_move_30_April_2016. But "easier" is no reason to let you move more things to caps. Consistency would support lowercase. Dicklyon (talk) 05:04, 2 May 2020 (UTC)

- Yes, Dicklyon makes a brief, clear reason for downcasing. Whose ego is going to be crushed by doing that? Tony (talk) 05:09, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Tony1: Ego? What ego? I'm just trying to justify my argument about why we should upcase and not downcase. I'm not trying to be a jackass. @Dicklyon: Perhaps, we should discuss this on the overall draft's talk page or WikiProject and get a community response instead of debating about n-gram statistics on my talk page. I just came here to explain why I reverted your undiscussed moves to caps; they're clearly not uncontroversial given the history. Dicklyon (talk) 16:39, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Dicklyon: I guess it's a minor nitpick coming my perspective, but I would much rather have it upcased instead of downcased. Let's at least have a discussion about it, since it could also change the case of the main draft lists. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 21:10, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- Following Dicklyon around .... Yeah, I have to agree with DL. This is yet another case of the WP:Specialized-style fallacy. It's not a proper-noun phrase, no matter how much football fans like to capitalize that and just about anything else to do with football. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 22:07, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hard to consider it WP:SSF based on the different, but similar arguments that the community has made on a whole. Whether the case in "draft" should upcased or not, should be left to each community to decide and not be made a broadwide type-case for each sports draft. Also, very hyperbolic to say we capitalize everything when many others sports WikiProjects do similar capitalizations for match titles. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 14:10, 7 May 2020 (UTC)

Your Recent Move
Hi! I hope your staying well during this crazy time. I was curious as to why you overrode my move of Trinidad and Tobago 2-1 United States (2018 FIFA World Cup qualification). I moved it to what I saw as a common-sense title that was clearer, more grammatically correct, and used throughout the rest of the article, so I'm curious what your reasoning was. Thanks in advance for your time! --Puddleglum2.0(How's my driving?) 00:49, 8 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Puddleglum2.0: We use "v" instead of "v." in the title and article when referring to specific football matches (check the category). Also, I added the scoreline in the title since it's not the only 2018 FWCQ match they played and it makes it easy for others to figure out which match it was. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 01:40, 8 May 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply, that makes sense! Probably should have looked more into the matter, it just seemed like a common sense move. Thanks again for your explanation and stay well! --Puddleglum2.0(How's my driving?) 01:54, 8 May 2020 (UTC)
Ohio State football yearly statistical leaders ==> football statistical leaders
Hi KSL -- I noticed that you merged Ohio State Buckeyes football yearly statistical leaders into Ohio State Buckeyes football statistical leaders with this diff. I understand the thinking behind the move, but the result is that the recipient article is now up to 95,281 bytes. This raises issues under WP:SIZERULE which provides that articles > 60 kB "probably should be divided" and > 100 kB should "almost certainly should be divided." Cbl62 (talk) 17:11, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
- I am going to @Jweiss11: to get his input as well since I recall him once expressing a thought about Ohio State Buckeyes football yearly statistical leaders. Cbl62 (talk) 17:13, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Cbl62: That only applies to written prose, not lists. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 13:40, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
- I've never heard that before. Where do you get that from? Cbl62 (talk) 13:44, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
- SIZERULE says "They also apply less strongly to list articles, especially if splitting them would require breaking up a sortable table." This suggests it does apply to lists as well, just not where it would require breaking up a sortable table. Cbl62 (talk) 13:47, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
- The size really shouldn't be a major issue in a list this. The yearly stats are ~ 10kB, making up less than a tenth of the entire article. On average, each section (including the introductory prose and excluding the reflist) takes about 12kB of the page, hardly making the yearly stats the biggest part of the list. Plus, the Alabama and Nebraska lists are already over 100 kB, so the Ohio State list hardly has the biggest problem when it comes to size. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 15:55, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
- The fact that Alabama and Nebraska pages are bigger doesn't mean the size here isn't a problem. As SIZERULE suggests dividing when an article reaches 60,000 bytes, it just seems counter-intuitive and contrary to the guideline to be "merging" yet another list in here. Cbl62 (talk) 21:43, 15 May 2020 (UTC)

Instagram's Nationality?
You seem to be able to edit Instagram's page. If you could please help me, as I was hoping to edit them to being a United Nations company. ---
What is meant by Instagram being an "American" company? Do they proclaim nationalism? Are most of their holdings in Federal Reserve Notes? I don't mean to be snarky, but, maybe a bit. there has been some shocking editing and deletion of peoples' gatherings here in Wisconsin, spring of 2020. Instagram then pushes material coming from Communist UN/Nato/WHO/CDC, used to scare people in the USA to use their rights, and our economy has been sabotaged by faulty material coming from these entities and this continual terrorizing our populace. Instagram is deleting posts pertaining to liberty and humanitarian efforts here.... So, I guess, the question is, how is Instagram an American company? If "American" means the United States, here we love liberty, so American would be the wrong country. --
I appreciate your help with this correction. -- Erica — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:F9E0:CC90:E58A:4BF9:7CBD:2F81 (talk) 03:13, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Not done By American, they mean that the company is headquartered in the United States and that is where they file taxes. Also, the United States has a huge influence over all four of those organizations, especially the CDC since it is OWNED BY THE GOVERNMENT. I literally burst out laughing when you called NATO (a supranational organization created to stop the influence of communism) communist. Also, humanitarian? The humanitarian thing to do is to leave your house only whenever necessary, wear a mask, and practice social distancing. Stop risking your health for short-term profit and instead think about all the vulnerable people whose lungs you could be endangering. Please stop believing whatever conspiracy theories your friends and family share on Facebook. Because guess what... Facebook owns Instagram and did you forget about the Cambridge Analytica scandal? Also, that's a pretty flawed argument you're trying to make when you say that companies should only interest the needs of the government. In a free market, the government should be doing as little as possible to influence companies and only make sure they are not breaking the law. You couldn't even provide a source, and even if you did, it would probably be unreliable or deprecated. Lord help me; the
audacitycaucasity of this comment. No, I'm not gonna boost your right-wing narrative and even if I did believe you, I still wouldn't do it because it makes me looks like a fucking idiot. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 14:18, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

- @Eagles247: The reason why all of those templates were deleted was because the template creator bother to use them on their proper articles. Many of the people in the discussion aren't even regular members of the WikiProject and the one person who is active and voted delete (@Bagumba) has seemingly changed his mind on the entire issue and forgotten about the draft navboxes as a whole. If you look through Category:National Football League draft navigational boxes, you will find many similar draft navboxes for literally every other NFL franchise. In fact @Zackmann08, the deletion nominator, hasn't even bothered to delete all the other templates in the category. I know that you don't have a real problem with them seeing as how you have added them to several rookies and even changed the wikilinks, so why now? I am trying to re-add them again as standard with every other team, but not screwing up this time. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 21:46, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
- I’d suggest you start a deletion review at WP:DRV to see if there is consensus to allow recreation given the concerns from the previous discussion have been addressed. I don’t have authority to reverse a community consensus on my own, so until a new consensus has been established I can only uphold what’s been decided. The consensus from that discussion appeared to be only for the Colts draft navboxes (which is silly IMO since it should apply to all yearly team draft navboxes, or none), and that is why none of the other navboxes were deleted. @KingSkyLord: Please stop splitting 3-year spans in CFB team navboxes, as you are repeatedly doing after the above notifications. There is current consensus against your apparent preferred format and you are actively undoing standard treatment within the cat. As noted above, there is a (linked) venue to discuss your preference and attempt to change the current consensus, if you are inclined. UW Dawgs (talk) 04:55, 2 July 2020 (UTC)

Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus, as you did to Carolina–Duke rivalry. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Please see Talk:Carolina–Duke rivalry for a previous move discussion, the result of which was for the page to stay at its existing title. —C.Fred (talk) 18:51, 2 June 2020 (UTC)

Category order
Why do you keep moving these away from alpha order? The vast majority of basketball articles use this, which doesn’t require much judgment and makes it easier to ensure the proper categories are in place. Rikster2 (talk) 14:04, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
- Personally, when I add/delete categories, I find it easier to sort them by chronological order so I can add any missing categories from their playing career and pre- and post- careers. Compare that to alpha order where many similar categories are 10 rows away because of their first letter. Sorry if that was bothering you. To me this seems like a minor issue, but I'll be sure to do alpha order if that helps. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 14:21, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

Hi KingSkyLord! I noticed you have been creating a lot of "in the NFL Draft" articles. I am noticing that almost all of them have the same Manual of Style issue, specifically having links in the bolded text of the first sentence. See MOS:BOLDLINKAVOID. I wanted to point this out to you with the hopes that going forward you don't include this Manual of Style issue in future articles. Thanks. « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 18:27, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
Sorting categories
KingSkyLord, thanks for all your work cleaning up things around sports topics here. I have noticed a few instances of you sorting categories of bio articles in chronological order. The most recent example is Drew Cronic. This practice seems to have emerged in last couple years from some editors working principally on NFL bios. This doesn't seem to be very useful as it makes it harder to scan/check the categories and goes against general practices for bio articles across Wikipedia. Jweiss11 (talk) 20:08, 11 July 2020 (UTC)
Sri Lanka national football team results and fixtures moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Sri Lanka national football team results and fixtures, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Gibraltar national football team results
Hi, just an informal discussion: I've been a supporter of the Gibraltar national football team since their UEFA debut in 2013. I've worked hard on a few of their pages on Wikipedia, especially their results list. Can I ask a favour, if you get a second can you give it a quick look and see if their is any chance we can get it to a WP:FL standard. I see you've worked on a few similar lists and would really value your opinion.
A lot of national teams are having their results split into multiple pages but the Gibraltar one is ok as one page as the results only started in 2013. Each match includes as much detail on their football box template as possible, including bookings and red cards as well as goalscorers. Two major things I would want to improve is the kick-off times, I believe these are currently in UK time when they need to be in Gibraltar time. The other thing is the intro, I've done my best to do a good one but prose is not my strong point. Also the references need to be checked for any blacklisted websites.
Obviously if you're too busy or don't think it's worth the time then fair enough but I just thought I'd check 😂 Many thanks --6ii9 (talk) 14:00, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Ethan Ennis' NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Award. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – NBA Finals MVP Award. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at NBA Finals MVP Award. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

Nigerian Civil War
Please explain this edit. Edit: Could you please explain this edit? (Apologies for my initial tone, I need to work on not assuming the worst.) Mikrobølgeovn (talk) 06:14, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
@Mikrobølgeovn: It was a minor edit. I moved the side from the main combatant category to supporter category because they weren't actively fighting in Nigeria, but instead sending weapons, vehicles and money, just like the other countries in the supporter category. I did not move Egypt/Syria to the pro-Biafra side. I kept it under the pro-Nigeria side. I think you might have seen it wrong. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 18:07, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
- I see that I got that wrong, my apologies. Anyway, Egypt did not just sent weapons, but also deployed its own pilots to bomb Biafra. Egyptian pilots were actually notorious for causing massive civilian casualties, to the point that they were booted by the Nigerians before the conclusion of the war. Egypt was definitely a belligerent, and I've been getting increasingly annoyed that editors routinely move Egypt without an explanation. Mikrobølgeovn (talk) 02:50, 18 January 2021 (UTC)
Incorrect DEFAULTSORT
I believe this edit is incorrect. The article Second Amendment to the United States Constitution could be included in many different categories, so using a default sort value of "02" is not appropriate. It appears from the template documentation that you could write the magic word in a way that it would only apply to one category. Jc3s5h (talk) 18:06, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. I'll add "Second Amendment" to the other categories (besides the 1791 ones). KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 18:13, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
