Stubs

Please note that {{stub}} goes at the end of an article, not the top (WP:ORDER), and take care not to add it to something like Lapine, Alabama which already has a specific stub tag as this just wastes other editors' time. Thanks.PamD 22:08, 19 July 2014 (UTC)

For whatever reason, I moved my sandbox entry that I was editing to a "Draft" page and now I don't have permission to move it to my Username. How can I fix this? This is a class assignment that's due today so I need HELP asap! Thanks! SalCsalinas72 (talk) 20:33, 11 December 2014 (UTC)

Still want your name on Teahouse invites?

Hi Dathus! A while back, you agreed to have your name attached to some of the daily Teahouse invites sent by HostBot. Are you still interested in having your name included in some of these invites? If not, I'm happy to remove your name from the list. Cheers, - J-Mo Talk to Me Email Me 00:23, 29 December 2014 (UTC)

To say it simply, for the first time in what seems to be history, we have the opportunity to stop an entire segment of crime. Remote messaging or electronically sent messages needs to be known as a crime. Its time. I have studied the issue of neural networks and the computer programming that is used. I am fluent in tele related subject matter. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thoughtprovoke (talkcontribs) 15:06, 19 March 2015 (UTC)

Picture

Hi Dathus.

Thanks so much for the invite. I'm involved in Lisgoold GAA Club as their PRO (Public Relations Officer). Hence why I thought it was time to create a page. I am trying to put a picture of Lisgoold GAA crest on our wiki page. How do you do it? Also what do I have to do to get rid of the boxes on top of the article i.e

Question book-new.svg This article relies too much on references to primary sources. Please improve this article by adding secondary or tertiary sources. (October 2015)

This article includes a list of references, related reading or external links, but its sources remain unclear because it lacks inline citations. Please improve this article by introducing more precise citations. (October 2015)

I'm just not too sure how you do it.

Hey

Your welcome it was my pleasure.

If you look through the article I have referenced pretty much all of my information. Its a creditible as it can be! :-)

No the information isn't biased. All that is the put on the article is fact. What information put in was written a while back and even if you go through it again. It is just stating facts of the club. There is very little (if any) points of view from me or anyone!! Like all other GAA pages we just want have this page to represent the club. I feel that the information present isn't biased towards anything and is just stating a snippet of our history. i hope this is sufficient..

Shorts/Socks

Hi,

I am having a wee bit trouble with the shorts and socks... They wear Blue shorts yellow trim and Blues and Gold Hoops socks...

See...

Shorts -

This is pretty much what they look like

Socks -

I know this is white and gold but you get the idea...

How do you do this? I just have plain blue shorts and socks on the page..

Thanks

Missing closing span tag in your custom signature

Hi, Dathus. I noticed your signature broke the text formatting on the Wishlist page for the Teahouse so I fixed it on that page, but you need to fix your signature by adding a closing </span> tag. Cheers! {{u|Checkingfax}} {Talk} 12:19, 5 January 2016 (UTC)

Synge Street citations

Hi. You recently added a {{tl:cn}} template to the lead of Synge Street CBS in relation to the school's involvement with the Young Scientists. I reverted your request as the body of the article contains plenty of references in this area and the lead wording was just a summary of main body. I have now started a discussion at Talk:Synge_Street_CBS#The_necessity_for_citations_in_the_lead to try to find a more acceptable wording for the lead that might assuage any reservations you might have. Please pop over and contribute. CalzGuy (talk) 10:02, 17 June 2016 (UTC)

Help needed !

Good morning, I hope you do well !

I came on this page by accident, looking to come into contact with somebody from the Teahouse to discuss the difficulties I have. I can’t really find my way in the Wikipedia "jungle", maybe too old to learn all quite fast. Anyway, when preparing some educational material (for the neighbour high school) about the Shoah I found an article about M. Juozas Ambrazevičius. This didn't seem complete since his implication in & incitation for mass murders in Lituania wasn't mentioned at all. I decided to complete the page with information about this issue. This information is purely encyclopedic and has nothing to do with any political point of view. I did edit the page and was ready (2 days later) to ad several sources to show that this is confirmed by bonafide sources, when I saw that the page was edited by somebody else who deleted all my text. I was ready to edit it also, but a problem with my laptop made I had to leave without being able to finish. This morning I can see that the complete chapter WW2 has been deleted.

My question is the following : What's the use to have this marvellous platform if your work can be deleted by anyone ? I'm quite disappointed and think this is obvious been done for political reasons (somebody didn't like the link between M. Juozas Ambrazevičius and the Shoah), but I guess that politics should stay far away from Wikipedia.

What would you propose me to do ? Start all over and take the risk to have it deleted again after a couple of hours ? Thanks in advance for your help. I don't know where I can find your answer (I didn't yet find how to discuss here and can leave my email address in case of... pietsnot@orange.fr).

Didn't find the tildes on my keyboard....hope this will do : (Piet snotterbel (talk) 10:02, 13 August 2016 (UTC))

Maliibu N Helene

Hello, Ive been trying to make a page for a favorite musical duo called Maliibu N Helene. I was told to read rules on living people and criteria for musical bands. It stated if the music was on television and credited it would meet the criteria. I listed three different tv shows that their music was featured on, as well as articles from BET network, Itunes, and Island Records. They are also cross referenced on wiki page for DJ Muster. Can you please assist I just want to get the page up Thank you Sarahmelanie9688 (talk) 02:02, 18 November 2016 (UTC)Sarahmelanie9688

Moving page "Nitty Scott, MC" to "Nitty Scott"

I was asked by the musician herself to move the page. My account is not autoconfirmed so I am unable to do so. Therefore, I have requested the move.

However, all her current social media pages still say "Nitty Scott, MC" which means that is difficult to reach a consensus. I have emails from the musician requesting the move. Is there a way to use this as evidence? Or even better, would you be able to direct the move? (Dhruv22uk (talk) 15:27, 22 December 2016 (UTC))

Needing some help!

I hope you are doing well. I would greatly appreciate if somebody could join me on improving an article I am working on. It is about a Dominican political Analyst who has been writing for several international mainstream outlets and been on TV giving his insights. He has been featured as public policy expert. Also, he used to be a government official back in his country, Dominican Republic. I feel like I need some support and guidance on getting this job done as I increase my knowledge of this wonderful platform and community.

Creating a stub

Hello! I am a newbie here. I just came across that there is not much information about certain local topics in a particular region. So, I thought to create a stub. I have read this[1] and many more Wikipedia pages for creating a stub. But, the actual procedure might differ. I know we need to submit it to WIKIPEDIA first, but how and where to start from? everyone just provides links to Wikipedia pages. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Saee Patil (talkcontribs) 07:30, 9 September 2018 (UTC)

O'Dea Clan Pronunciation

Hi Dathos - thanks for reaching out to me about this. Everybody I've ever met with the surname O'Dea has pronounced it Oh-Dee, including my own extended family.

Since this contradicts your experience, it seems likely that this varies by region of Ireland. Willie O'Dea is from Limerick and pronounces his name Oh-Dee. My own family moved to Dublin a few generations ago and we all pronounce it Oh-Dee.

I can't seem to find any statistics online about this, but considering the use of Oh-Dee in Dublin - which makes up over 10% of the Irish population - and in the name of a public figure in Ireland, I would think Oh-Dee is a more widely used pronunciation. In light of that, I think we ought to include only Oh-Dee or both pronunciations in the article.
