Mediation
Hey, how are doing. Probably a mediation or intervention should be needed about this article. The user just revert without trying to talk. Take a look of this. What can I do? I want to work in the article offline, I have been working in Medina's a lot less known sister article before. Thanks, Osplace 17:02, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
2013–14 Dallas Mavericks Season
Regarding the reverting of my edits:
The indentation makes the markup much easier to read through. However, if you would rather have incomplete information, i.e. "4 players" instead of which actual players, or incorrect information, i.e. having the game against the New Orleans Pelicans counted as a road game when it was a home game, I will stop updating for the Mavericks.
FatIIar (talk) 01:53, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
You have the Pelicans game being counted as a road game currently. What's the problem with listing all of the players?
The indentations don't negatively affect the appearance of the page, so why does it matter if they are in the markup?
FatIIar (talk) 03:47, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
The second header currently reads, "Pre-season: 0–1 (Home: 0–0; Road: 0–1)". There should be a loss in the "Home" record, not the "Road" record.
I already told you why the indentations are good, it makes the markup much easier to read through.

Your speedy reverting
Hi Kante4ǃ You're very quick in reverting. Pls have patience and wait a second. The article about Dilan Deniz Gökçek will be coming in a few minutes. This is why I'm trying to add related wikilinks. I hope you revert your own revert. Cheers. --CeeGee 18:18, 13 October 2013 (UTC)

Euro 2013
Hi Kante4, I found a source for the Italian team's caps and goals from before the tournament [1] (careful, it's a big file and crashes the browser on my netbook). It also has the players' national team debuts. I'm going to start adding the info to the articles, just thought I'd leave you a quick note after our conversation in the summer. I still haven't found anything for Spain though... Anyway, keep up the good work, Clavdia chauchat (talk) 07:41, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to 2014 UEFA Women's U-17 Championship may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

2014 FIFA World Cup qualification (AFC – CONMEBOL play-off)
Hi. I have some questions and thoughts according to what happened at 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification (AFC – CONMEBOL play-off).
First of all you incorrectly claimed that it was me that should open discussion on talkpage which is completely wrong if you have ever read WP:BRD. Jun19 was bold, I reverted, then it is up to him to open a discussion and consensus it should be used. Just follow the picture at WP:BRD:
- Make an edit
- Wait. Was the article edited further? YES.
- Was the edit a revert? YES.
- Do you agrre with the revert? NO (aapperently Jun19 did not agree)
- Disagree. Take it to the talkpage.
It is crystal clear that he was the one to open discussion. If you still dont understand here is the picture.
Secondly I dont like your tone. There is no need to WP:SHOUT like you did in your edit summary.
Thirdly, I have looked atall of the old articles and there the kits has never been shown. Example:
- 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification (CONMEBOL – OFC play-off)
- 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification (AFC – CONCACAF play-off)
- 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification (AFC – OFC play-off)
Please note that 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification (CONCACAF – CONMEBOL play-off) did not have any article for those matches
I would appreciate in the future if you relax and look at the facts before attacking me. QED237 (talk) 20:01, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
- Any answer at all? Was I wrong with the WP:BRD that he (not me) should have opened discussion? Was I wrong to remove the shirts since they have not been there the previous years? Where you right to insult me and undo my removal of the shirts (claiming I think I was better then everone elsein the edit summary)? I will not surrender until I get "proof" that this should be incuded otherwise it should be removed. QED237 (talk) 20:27, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

Fullname
In Mertesacker's case the referenced fullname makes it clear that he has no middle names. If you just remove the fullname, one cannot be sure whether Per Mertesacker is his complete name or if this information is unknown. --Jaellee (talk) 19:35, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
- Well, I don't like it the other way, so we'll have to agree to disagree. --Jaellee (talk) 17:34, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
I did not just copy from the template as you claim I did. Maybe you should notice the reference from the ANGOP article I attached. This players' list is outdated
Question about bot reversion
Hi Kante4! Could you please help me understand why you reverted this edit to 2013 World Women's Handball Championship squads? "2013–12–7" is not a valid format per MOS:DATEFORMAT. Thanks! GoingBatty (talk) 15:11, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
- I've manually refixed the date only in the article so the bot won't come by again. The bot also includes AWB's general fixes, one of which is to add a single blank line between headers per WP:BODY and WP:HEAD. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 16:55, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
Cristiano Ronaldo
Could you expand on how it looks "horrible", and on why that would be important? Because our objective is making the encyclopaedia more informative and accessible for our readership, not worrying about aesthetics. And I would argue it's not "horrible" in the slightest, so it's appearance is not a worry for me anyway. Including divisions is agreed upon by consensus at WP:FOOTY and that is reflected by the project-wide player article MoS. If you disagree with the format of the amended table, you really ought to be discussing it at WT:FOOTY, rather than reverting on sight. And you removed the references I added, meaning swathes of the table are now unsourced, including the entire Sporting CP stats. Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 00:32, 26 December 2013 (UTC)
- Linking to club season articles was agreed upon generally, but not as a substitute for including divisions. Mattythewhite (talk) 18:49, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
Hi mate, in my experience, the club category is for any player who was contracted to the club at any time, including youth contracts. Since Mikel signed a contract with Man Utd and was presented in a United shirt, he should have the category. – PeeJay 01:54, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
- No, it's always been anyone who had a contract with the club. Anyone who waited until Bale played for Real Madrid before adding Category:Real Madrid C.F. players was wrong. Why would you wait when he is clearly Madrid player due to his contract? – PeeJay 02:01, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
You cannot revert an edit because "this looks horrible"
You requested the reference. I think the request was spurious but still I spent a lot of time gathering all the links, and I added the reference. You cannot then revert it because you think references make the wiki code "look horrible".
I'm going to add a tidier version now, but your revert was not justified. Can you be more helpful? Gronky (talk) 00:07, 8 January 2014 (UTC)

Template:2014 Winter Olympics Germany women's ice hockey team roster
Could you please fix the template Template:2014 Winter Olympics Germany women's ice hockey team roster? You seem to be confused between the German and Finnish teams, the source given is a dead link and the place of birth of ms. Medal templates
Hello Kante.
Why are you replacing several medal templates with a single one, like on Olga Graf? At first, I thought it was an edit conflict, but then I saw another one. What's behind this?
Regards
HandsomeFella (talk) 13:37, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
(moving your answer here, to keep dialogue in one place)
- Hey, because in the infobox is listed which sport/country she represents. Thats why it is useless to have it at the medaltemplates again just a few lines down... (PS: Can you tidy your talk page please as it takes ages to load at times) Kante4 (talk) 13:39, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- I don't think you should do that. The templates exist for a reason, and I don't think you will find support for this in the community. So please don't continue. (You're right, I'll do something about my talkpage.)
- HandsomeFella (talk) 13:44, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- This has been done from my part since a few months/years or whatever. Whenever there was a competition, i tidied up the infobox with no complaints, so i don't see a problem there, because it makes sense to me. Dublicate info is not needed and just blows up the infobox(es)... If a person has no infobox, there is a need for this templates of course! Kante4 (talk) 13:46, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- This has probably gone unnoticed by the community then, until now, when the Olympics is pretty much in everybody's minds. We're losing info here, and also losing precision in linking, linking to "Olympic Games" instead of (for instance) "Speed skating at the Winter Olympics". Until it is decided that usage of these templates is to be discontinued, I hope you will not continue.
- Thank you.
- HandsomeFella (talk) 13:54, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- The linking, ok i agree, can be helpful. But there is no lost info as the info is given above, just 2-3 lines or whatever. So i think this is not wrong and can be done as it has a rationale reason why it was done. You are the first one to "complain" so... Kante4 (talk) 14:04, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- A while ago, you were reverted by another user on the Olga Graf article, after you removed the info a second time. So it's pretty clear now that the community doesn't agree with your removals. I presume that you will not continue now. Edit-warring is always silly, but edit-warring to remove useful and harmless information is particularaly silly. You are doing so much good work otherwise, just keep that up.
- Thank you.
- HandsomeFella (talk) 14:52, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- Did not see that. Just saw your revert, as i do not check back on articles. Kante4 (talk) 14:54, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

Hi there KANTE, AL "here",
maybe you could have a word with SMASTER about the overdetail, maybe it's me that's just not getting stuff across well. He continues to add stuff after stuff after stuff that's not encyclopedical at all in my humble opinion (that STYLE OF PLAY section is bigger than whole articles of some pro players!).
Please read the current state of the article, and if you think he should be tipped off, please help me out. If you think the article is now in good shape, however, think nothing of this message. Cheers, and thanks --AL (talk) 17:26, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
I guess we can leave it like that, and save ourselves an endless edit war (just as long he does not add any more). Right now, it seems much more serious the rubbish User:Hahahaduuu is adding to the PERSONAL LIFE section, i have already messaged him.

Speedy deletion nomination of 2014 Algarve Cup squads
Hello Kante4,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged 2014 Algarve Cup squads for deletion, because it appears to duplicate an existing Wikipedia article, [[{{{article}}}]].
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Rivalnator (talk) 19:56, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
Live updates
Hi there Kante, @Qed237: is completely accurate, you should not live update scores or matches or player articles etc. Please see WP:LIVESCORES as to why. Any questions, please ask. GiantSnowman 20:13, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
- But you are technically introducing incorrect material (as the game has not finished) and you are leaving it open for errors. A goal is scored, and so you edit the article - but then 10 seconds later another editor adds that same goal, not realizing it has already been updated? Well then rather than being 1-0 the article is showing as 2-0! Too many problems - please just wait until the game is over. GiantSnowman 20:28, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for your response. @Qed237:, please take Kante's comments at my talk page in good faith - while templates serve a purpose for new editors, you are likely to get a better/more meaningful response/conversation if you don't use templates. Threatening to report to ANI was also a bit over the top. I hope both of you can learn from this and work together in future :) GiantSnowman 13:01, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
- @GiantSnowman: I have followed the discussion and I understand the view of Kante (I started on wikipedia by updating livescores for Champions league until I was told not to do so). And as I said to use template was not my first choice but since he just removed my first two attempts to discuss on his talkpage with the words "bs" I felt he did not want to discuss and had to move further and start with the templates. If he had just responded in a normal matter this would not have happened. ANI i feel would have been next step if he still continues and refuses do talk. And to respond to what he said I dont know why he dont like me and I dont like him to, he seems way to aggresive when talking to people (not just me). But I am willing to let this go, if these edits stop. QED237 (talk) 13:29, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
- I do have a standard message I use most times since this is a common problem and I could spend my time in better places than writing individual messages all the time explaining the same thing, and I do not use templates as a first resort. I try with my discussion first. QED237 (talk) 13:33, 27 February 2014 (UTC)

Wikilinks and fb templates
If an article has a wikilink to a national football team, there is no reason to remove that link and put in one of the fb templates like you did with several of the German women's articles today. The links leave no confusion to anybody who will edit the article in the future while the templates and their use of FIFA codes might not be clear to future editors. I know WP:FOOTY is trying to get rid of the use of templates to link to articles. The reason that some people use of saving time typing does not stand when you are taking away what somebody has already typed. Server space is also not an issue. Thank you for all the contributions you make but please don't rely on templates when normal wikilinks and wikitables work. EddieV2003 (talk) 00:17, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

Sami Khedira
Traditionally the league cup get it's own column. The "other" column is really meant for other official competitions that isn't really big like the national super cup, FIFA Club World Cup, etc. Check out the statistics table for Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, Theo Walcott, and Steven Gerrard. Kingjeff (talk) 21:42, 22 March 2014 (UTC)
But "Ligapokal" is translated into "league cup." Kingjeff (talk) 22:33, 22 March 2014 (UTC)
We include the national super cups and that competition is considered to be a "glorified pre–season friendly" by the media. But we don't exclude it just because of the media's bias. But it seems to be that if a league (i.e. Deutsche Fußball Liga), a national association, a continental association, or FIFA runs the competition, then it's deemed to be offcial. I have a feeling that there is a British bias here since the league cups in England and Scotland are much bigger competitions. But I think the bigger issue here is that there should be a consistency with all club statistics table. Kingjeff (talk) 23:00, 22 March 2014 (UTC)
I personally give it's own column to be more consistent with other player club statistics table. Are we really going to give the German League Cup it's own column to Lukas Podolski, Per Mertesacker, and Mesut Ozil just because they play in England and not Sami Khedira just because he hasn't played in England or Scotland? Kingjeff (talk) 23:08, 22 March 2014 (UTC)
But in England, Scotland, and France, the league cup really does warrant it's own column. Do we really want to put certain league cups in it's own column and other league cups in the "other" column? Kingjeff (talk) 23:24, 22 March 2014 (UTC)
But the competition was never just 1 match like the German Super Cup. The last year of the German League Cup, there were three rounds and Bayern played three matches. Stuttgart would have played two matches if they had won. Are we going to put Champions League in to the other column if a player has only one career match in the competition? Kingjeff (talk) 23:40, 22 March 2014 (UTC)
I wasn't being silly. I was merely pointing out that one career appearance is not the same as a one match competition like the German Super Cup. Kingjeff (talk) 23:48, 22 March 2014 (UTC)

catching my oversight, is appreciated, your lack of manners is not. I have corrected mistakes of yours many times and did not believe they required comment. - Hey no worries, I think now that I look at it again I over reacted. I have pretty much stayed away but I was adding details of the New Zealand game because I was trying to edit the qualification tournament and was concerned about edit conflicts if the New Zealand game got updated while I was in there. The game summaries for the qualification games are posted now, but now that I started with them I realize that they are incomplete and sometimes don't make any sense.18abruce (talk) 16:54, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

Vince Carter
Why did you remove significant facts regarding Vince Carter? Its a 100% fact (whether you like it or not - which I could not care less) that it was a very remarkable game for him from a statistic point of view as in it was his best playoff game since 2010. This was said and showed during game as well so it was not made up by me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.50.88.10 (talk) 17:28, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
