Hello, I have seen your hardwork in this article. Why don't you add a Squads section? Squad are very useful. Oscar 23:34, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

Line-up graphic
Well, I copied the base image from my line-up graphic for the 2009 final, which was also Barcelona vs Man Utd, so I guess that it's not "normally" any particular way. Anyway, yes you were wrong, because your image had Messi playing on the wing when he actually played as a centre-forward. There were several other mistakes as well, if you used the UEFA line-up image as your source, but that's irrelevant now. Oh, and also the filename was too vague; since there have now been two matches between Barcelona and Manchester United in the last three years, to simply call your image "Barcelona-Man Utd line-ups.svg" (or whatever it was called) is far too vague. – PeeJay 20:30, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
- I used the "freeform shape" function in Inkscape. Easy when you know how, but very difficult to explain over the internet. – PeeJay 21:26, 30 May 2011 (UTC)

Malawi National Football Team
I was recently visited the wikipedia page for the Malawi national football team and I noticed large chunks of information had gone missing. The most conspicuous section missing was the Current Squad which appears on just about every national team page even if the rosters are woefully incomplete as can be the case for teams like Swaziland. I went through the View History and noticed that it was User:Banana Fingers. In addition to deleting the entire Current Squad and Recent Call-ups section he/she also deleted the section of the ongoing African Cup of Nations results. It has been my observation that these fixtures and tables remain on a national teams page until the next major competition begins. Banana Fingers summarized these edits as "cleanup", but frankly I see this as deleting important information, and reckless given that there was no discussion on the talk page on on his/her user talk page. Unfortunately Banana Fingers's edit is now ten edits old so I'm not simply reverting his/her edit will work. What can be done to correct this situation?
Note: I'm cross posting this on the take pages of you and User:Koppapa because you two have done so much responsible and accurate work regarding football pages on wikipedia. --SargentIV (talk) 02:33, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

Knockout Stage Bracket
Why did you delete the Round of 32 brackets for the World Championships? I can appreciate that it did not look as neat as brackets for other sports competitions, but why not just improve it? Deleting it altogether seems rather extreme.--SargentIV (talk) 13:39, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

2011 Island Games
You beat me to making all of the event pages! I'm working on making them all as detailed as possible (I may have gone a bit overboard with the Squash, I managed to decipher this .pdf into the full draw) though, I'm just worried about whether or not results will be widely available. SellymeTalk 13:58, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, just the main articles will do, separate articles for the athletics event are unnecessary on such a small scale in my opinion. I know how you feel about the draw being indecipherable, I spent over an hour trying to work it out, and I still can't fathom the double's draw. I'm going to contact the coordinators of the event with regards to that.
- Unfortunately, I'm likely not going to be able to finish the men's draw for Squash, but I'll try to get it set out in such a way that it's easy for me to continue on tomorrow without the article looking horrific. SellymeTalk 14:09, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
- That's what I had in mind, but I thought that it was necessary to get a legible draw up so we can refer to that. A slightly cluttered draw is better than a series of seemingly random numbers and letters. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a 4-team squash bracket. SellymeTalk 14:17, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
- Mkay, I'm setting up the Men's Draw in 4 Finals, 16|16 main draw, although I don't have time to edit the Women's one. I've also sent off an e-mail to the Squash organizer asking for clarification on the team/doubles events. SellymeTalk 14:25, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
- I changed the women's draw into a 4F, 16|16 main draw as well, time for me to hit the sack. SellymeTalk 14:44, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Stop being so fast at editing in results, dammit! D:
But seriously, maybe we should split up events to each other to make this more streamlined. SellymeTalk 10:34, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- Just saw your message on your talk page and respond here. I just fixed the volleyball edit from you, take a look please as this is the proper way. Later on the Women´s World Cup will start and that´s what i will watch/edit then, whenever i have time or find a new result i edit that, if you were faster, ok. Kante4 (talk) 10:36, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'm not too familiar with the Volleyball templates, but I think I've got it now. Thanks! SellymeTalk 10:39, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- No problem as every help is needed. ;) I need to see if i got the Archery events right or if there are more or less as i don´t know what disciplines there are. We should referencee the results like i did at the athletics article which i just noticed is protected... Kante4 (talk) 10:41, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- I think getting the results up there as soon as possible should be done, then adding references when the event is fully finished (For instance, adding the half marathon references before they actually finished isn't really accurate). SellymeTalk 10:46, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- That race is/was finished, the last ones DNS/DNF. Kante4 (talk) 10:53, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, but I meant while it was in progress but the medal positions were finished (Which is what you did). Do you think that full results in collapsible tables would be a good idea? I'd be happy to do it myself, as I'm in Australia, and most of the day is night in the Isle of Wight, so I'd have the spare time. May be a bit inclusive though. SellymeTalk 10:59, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, looked like it was over although the link does not change you are right we should wait. You mean add the final of each event (8 athletes most of the time)? Team, yeah saw that too the results should be up soon then... Kante4 (talk) 11:02, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- How about we just put in all the results as accurately as possible, and tomorrow (my time at least) we (or I) can go through and correct everything wrong, and source all the events. I also need to make a few other pages about the Island Games in general that I can do know the results site is up, and I'll work on the athletes pages. SellymeTalk 11:10, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- I´m just 1 hour ahead of the Isle of Wight here in Germany and i got a free week from work coming up so i have time. At the end of the day i go through all articles again and see if someone added something wrong or tweak some things if needed. If you want you can add the athletics (and swimming then too) results, i can help maybe later on after you started. You can create the article as you know there is someone whop adds the results properly. ;) Kante4 (talk) 11:13, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- You lucky -expletive-. Well, I'll go ahead and do that tomorrow, but for now we have to try to keep up with the results! I'll create Men's and Women's singles articles for the tennis tomorrow as well (I don't think they're played for another day yet). Should we split up Squash in the same manner, their draws are just confusing. SellymeTalk 11:21, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- I added something to the tennis article, take a look. ;) Tennis for singles starts on 27th according to this so the Draw should be out on the evening. About squash, i don´t know. Kante4 (talk) 11:26, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- Wow that table tennis took a lot of work. I think we're fully up-to-date now! I'll start working on the wikitable for the Half Marathon to add in tomorrow. SellymeTalk 12:30, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

- Will be afk for about 15-20 minutes, you could probably leave the results for me when I come back (shouldn't be too much to do), but if in half an hour I'm still afk I won't be back until morning. SellymeTalk 14:14, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

In 7 hours or so I'll be back on for the (English) night-shift, and make all those articles I was talking about. Word of warning: The cycling is screwed up. I recommend just waiting on the Women's Team Town Centre Criterium, they don't appear to have a Gold winner. I updated all the medal tables to what the official site shows, but that may need changing depending on what happens there. Apart from that, the Volleyball and the Squash are the only things that would need updating for a while, and I've done most of the Squash. Thanks! - Went through the list of sports and updated everything (Except table tennis and tennis, which I'm working on now) completely, will probably go to sleep in an hour or two as Bernard Tomic went through to the Wimbledon quarters in straight sets. Once I'm done, that'll be the full morning session finished, so if you could just polish off the two badminton matches, and the shooting/swimming events tonight, that should keep it all updated. Oh, and I found an interesting live scores feed you might want to look at for swimming. SellymeTalk 13:31, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

I know the Pan-American Games and Pacific Games are coming up in the next few months (I'll likely be working primarily on the latter, User:Intoronto1125 has the PAG mostly covered). I'm honestly not too sure how the Pacific Games will work out, I'm trying to find a native French speaker to help out (The sites are all French.) SellymeTalk 10:25, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

Swedish Open
Unrelated pedantry time! I believe there may need to be a new Swedish Open draw infobox created, because unless I'm missing something, it's currently a WTA-only event, whereas the infobox tries to link to Men's and Women's. Not sure how to go about this (Or if I'm even correct) so I thought I'd mention it to you seeing as you created the article. Small world, isn't it? SellymeTalk 10:35, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
- I did not created that artricle, it´s here and for both but a week later. Template and Infobox is there... Kante4 (talk) 10:43, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
- I knew I was missing something. Likely due to Sweden being in the Davis Cup. But to clarify, I was talking about the doubles and singles draw pages (2011 Swedish Open – Women's Doubles specifically), which you did create. Sorry! SellymeTalk 10:55, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
- Huh, normally it should be there as the main article has the infobox color, odd. Kante4 (talk) 11:03, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for chiming in at Talk:2011 Copa América. Of course, rather than discuss, the other user decided to revert yet again without bothering to comment on the discussion page. Hi, I created a this page and maybe You can see or there are some mistakes, you are more experienced :-). And now I'm going to create European U18 women championship.
Arturkozlov (talk) 15:58, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
- I already created 2011 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship for Women, so if you want, can view this.

- Ok, Thanks.

France - Germany pitch
Hi Kante4
I think it is a wonderfull thing your doing with creating these line-ups pictures, but there is a little trouble/misstake with this one:http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:FRA-GER-2011-07-05.svg. I can see that you have corrected the wrong information with the correct info on the large scale pictures, but the file itself is still the old and wrong one. Could you fix this so that the english, norwegian and the german 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup Group A pages is correct.
Mart18 (talk) 16:12, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
- sortet the problem out. I increased the picture size (from 300px to 310px)on the norwegian page and it worked.

Football pitch
Hi again Kante4
I was thinking about making line-ups pitch for Tippeligaen 2011 (2011 Norwegian Premier League), but what kind of program do you use to create these pitches. Adobe Illustrator or something else?

- Thanks :-) Mart18 (talk) 18:51, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
2011 Asian Athletics Championships
Would you like to help putting up the results for these championships? Intoronto1125TalkContributions 02:49, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
Spaces
Sorry for the late response. As for space, they are pointless. Digirami (talk) 23:11, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- You're going to have to re-check what you wrote. I think you left out a word that would make your statement comprehensible. Digirami (talk) 23:15, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, I'm not trying to be rude. But, the question "Then why is on the most article spaces where you remove them" does not make sense in a way. What you are trying to ask me does not come across at all. I would suggest you revise that statement once more so I may respond to your query. Digirami (talk) 23:22, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- If I really had to pick it apart, the words "is on the most article spaces" doesn't make sense. "Is" and "on" are two verbs that should not be together in this statement. You need another word to join the two verbs in order for it to make sense, or perhaps remove one of those two verbs. Then, you're also incomplete in asking me about "the most articles spaces". But, I'm sure that'll make a bit more sense if you correct your verb situation. Also, "where you remove them" does not make sense. Perhaps you meant "were" instead of "where". But, at the same time, we are talking about characters (or absence thereof). So, if I remove them, they really go nowhere. So again, please check your statement again so I may courteously respond to your inquiry. Digirami (talk) 23:38, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
Copa America formations images
On a side note, I sent you a message on Commons regarding the formations images you have created. Can you please address them for the sake of accuracy? Thank you. Digirami (talk) 23:45, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
Copa
That'll be great. As for the attendance figures... If CONMEBOL does the same thing as they did for the Copa Libertadores, they will publish the attendance figures after the tournament. Digirami (talk) 00:05, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
- Ya, I'm watching the game too (with my Ecuador jersey on). But at the same time, you have to source it. All sources point to a 3-5-2 formation. Hell, you've messed up one Ecuadorian formation. Why should you trust you for another? Either way, watching the game on TV does not pass Wikipedia:Verifiability. Digirami (talk) 23:01, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
- Either way, all verifiable source, even an Ecuadorian one like this one, does not show the formation you've listed. You're simply wrong in this case (which is not to say I'm necessarily correct). Digirami (talk) 23:03, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
- In this one, you have Mendez as a RW. He is not. He is a CM. In this one, you have Moreno twice and several players out of position. Digirami (talk) 23:11, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
- But again, watching TV lacks verifiability. There are sources out there, some by CONMEBOL themselves. Consult them. Digirami (talk) 23:16, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
- But when someone does disagree with you, they will have sources to back them out... and that'll give them the upper hand in change it. Digirami (talk) 23:22, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

Hello Kante!
I have nominted two articles for deletion, which seems to get zero attention. I would like to ask you, as a veteran sport editor, with a load of experience under his belt, to share your thoughts on the deletion entries:
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2011–12 EHF Champions League qualifying phase
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2011–12 EHF Women's Champions League qualifying phase
Of course, if you don't have the will or time, then just please ignore this message.
Thank you, Thehoboclown (talk) 14:38, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
- Well, sounds okay. Just like the standard used for other continental events in other sports. What do you think about the women's tournament? There is also a quali section, however, similar to the men's one, it is only 10kb, and nothing more but a few brackets and two groups. Your comment would be welcomed on that entry as well :) Cheers, Thehoboclown (talk) 15:12, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
