@Doomsdayer520: many thanks for the comment on the page I created, unfortunately Dilan Ensemble has been merged by Wikipedia not sure maybe the automation system without getting a detail or asking for the correction. I was surprised when I saw this replacement. Is there a chance to bring the title back as an individual? Thank you and sorry for the late response. - About three months after my review, a user named Richard3120 decided that Dilan Ensemble is not notable enough on its own, so he merged their article with Shahriyar Jamshidi's article. I think Richard3120 did this because all of the sources at the old Dilan Ensemble were primary sources created by the group or their promoters. If you think that their are more reliable sources about Dilan Ensemble, you may wish to contact Richard3120 and discuss restoring their article. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 22:39, 15 June 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you for the reply and the information. The references are reliable, the only reason of the merge might be that those recurses are non-English. I will contact Richard3120 and ask for restoring the page.Kamanchejan (talk) 02:09, 16 June 2019 (UTC)kamanchejan
@Richard3120: Hi, I just found that the page Dilan Ensemble has been merged because it's not notable enough. I would be happy to know further about the reasons of merging this article immediately after its references being improved. The article is about a traditional classical music group from difficult place to live as musicians Iran. Several members of the band are living and working professionally in different places around the world. The majority of the cited links are non-English, this might be a reason to incorporate the title. The merging action just cuts a chance of being visible in front of volunteers' eyes to enhance the article. Could you please help to restore Dilan Ensemble and give Wikipedia editors chance of developing this page? Thank you. Kamanchejan (talk) 03:40, 16 June 2019 (UTC)kamanchejan
- Hello Kamanchejan – I did send you the message below in March, saying that the sources for this article did not meet Wikipedia requirements. Please read WP:BAND – sources from Shahriyar Jamshedi's website are not independent, so they do not pass criterion #1 of these requirements. This criterion also states that "trivial coverage, such as articles that simply report performance dates, release information or track listings" do not count as in-depth sources for an article. These were the sources present in the article when I redirected it. Are there any sources at all for Dilan Ensemble that are not either links to websites where the album can be purchased, or simply links advertising concerts by the band? Richard3120 (talk) 15:12, 17 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hello Richard3120. Regarding these super fast changes on my three articles. It’s completely understandable that the merchandise links aren't acceptable and so the article not to be connected to the original creator's pages. “The Lullaby of A Nomad” has at least two independent album reviews in English and the title is also translated in Wiki Kurdish. Regarding my second merged title “Dilan Ensemble”, all references are in Persian and Kurdish, they are not fitted with WP:BAND criteria (the notability for band in English) the only resource field in English is the band’s website which is the main reason for merging the article. I believe that the article should have been written in those original languages first then translated to English. The last and important title “A Yellow Flower” it has several independent sources in Farsi (Persian) and Kurdish the album has been dedicated to People of Kobanî (Siege of Kobanî), A Yellow Flower album also has been mentioned in many English reviews which connected to the composer. Additionally, this album is translated into three dissimilar Wiki languages without issues. Are they not enough to keep this as a separate article? Could you please consider restoring “A Yellow Flower” and “The Lullaby of a Nomad”? This would give freelance music lovers and researchers an opportunity to receive the free knowledge of musical resources specially from the unfamiliar nations who haven't been endorsed well online. I can unlink the selling album's resources and the band pages from these two titles by using the Wiki guidelines. Thank you for sharing the knowledge with me. - I completely disagree with the assertion that the changes were "super fast"... all the articles were in existence for many months before I redirected them, and I gave you three months notice that I was going to redirect the Dilan Ensemble article... in fact my changes were super slow.
- It is not a problem that the sources are in Farsi – the problem is that none of the sources in English or in Farsi meet the requirements of WP:RS. For the Dilan Ensemble article: source no. 1 is Shahriyar Jamshidi's own website, so it's not independent; source no. 2 is from a Farsi version of Wikipedia, and Wikipedia cannot be used as a source for itself, per WP:CIRCULAR; sources nos. 3, 4, 5 and 6 are just listings for concert events, which as I explained above is not acceptable to be able to pass WP:BAND; and source no. 7 is from an acceptable source, but as it is Mr. Jamshidi talking about his own album, it fails WP:PRIMARY. So literally none of the sources in the article are acceptable.
- I have restored the Dilan Ensemble article in good faith, so that you can work on finding better sources for it, but honestly, if the article has not improved within a few months, I will suggest that it deleted again. Richard3120 (talk) 16:00, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
- Many thanks for all helpful informations and restoring Dilan Ensemble. To deliver this article to the standard, all facts will be considered. Kamanchejan (talk) 22:32, 22 June 2019 (UTC)kamanchejan
Notability
[edit]Hello Kamanchejan – I have been looking at your articles for Shahriyar Jamshidi and Dilan Ensemble, and I am struggling to find anything in the references that shows that they are notable. Listings of conferences they have attended or concerts they have played do not indicate notability, nor does the existence of their CDs to buy on Amazon or CD Baby. If the articles cannot be improved with notable sources, they may have to be nominated for deletion. Thanks. Richard3120 (talk) 15:10, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Dilan Ensemble, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kurdish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Please do not continue to repeatedly add the review from Sputnikmusic as a source – as I have explained to you three times, a review by a user is not acceptable as an album review. Please see the entry for Sputnikmusic at WP:RSMUSIC. Thank you. Richard3120 (talk) 18:15, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
@Richard3120: Hi Richard. thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, I haven't seen your other notes, so the review from Sputnikmusic is not my statement. I have just added this into the reference list and citation. Also, I am not sure why the cited link from Sputnikmusic is being deleted from the citation list. Thank you for your attention and prompt action. Kamanchejan (talk) 20:33, 14 June 2019 (UTC)Kamanchejan
- I've just told you why – I keep deleting it because it's not a valid source. Richard3120 (talk) 20:35, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you for the detail, I will unlink it from the Rating list. Kamanchejan
