Power of Vadivelu
This edit (under the section, "Château de Verteuil, Charente") shows how much Vadivelu means to Tamil cinema. Hope he comes back with a bang soon with Eli. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 09:42, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Ssven2: I strongly believe that three great entertainers hit the rock-bottom by taking wrong decisions which almost changed their course. They are Michael Jackson, Chiranjeevi and Vadivelu. Jackson is no more and is still facing brickbats (estate problems, child abuses, a few poor recording instances of tracks of Xscape etc.); Chiranjeevi is "trying hard" to make a comeback with his 150th film (Which will be an uncertain event till its release) and I hope Vadivelu will be back with Eli. And BTW, Vadivelu's clip was indeed funny. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 10:17, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
- Celebs who make it big will always find obstacles that may completely destroy them, although the wisest minded will overcome them like Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Wahlberg did, while others like Lindsay Lohan and Miley Cyrus will not. Anyone remember Jimi Hendrix, and any celeb who died at the age of 27? Kailash29792 (talk) 10:33, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
- I know you mean Amy Winehouse. @Pavanjandhyala: BTW, Pavan, Tenaliraman was pretty decent and light-hearted, but not much laughs as one would expect. Hope Eli is much better. From the video about the unveiling of the film's Facebook and Twitter profiles, I'd say it is indeed better than Tenaliraman. Yep, Downey and Wahlberg underwent remarkable transformations. Even Vadivelu has, but I think he wants to get it right before going back to doing comedy roles. Personally, I feel that besides comedy, people rarely try to explore his acting talent. Glimpses of it are seen in Thevar Magan, Emttan Mahan and even Aadhavan as well, but that's about it. It would really be good if one of the directors try to make Vadivelu perform such a role. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 11:37, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Ssven2: I too have observed those pages and videos and they were good. I too want to see Vadivelu back. I missed him in the recent dubbed releases and was happy when at least Vivek was back with VIP. I watched Thevar Magan and Aadhavan and with all due respect to KSR, don't compare the latter with the former. I can't believe that a person like you cite Aadhavan with Thevar Magan even for "anything". How it would be if i compare Kadal with Alaipayuthey and Mouna Ragam just because they were Mani Rathnam's films and mainly love stories? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 04:43, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Pavanjandhyala: What I meant was the extent and importance of the role. He is only given repetitive roles where he gets either beaten up, robbed or deceived. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 04:52, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Ssven2: I am now convinced that he is the Brahmanandam of Tamil cinema. Repetitive yet effective most of the times. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 05:47, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Pavanjandhyala: Yep. Despite being repetitive, his comedy can be watched over and over again and one would never get bored. Brahmi's good too. His antics in Ghilli, Mozhi and Baadshah made me laugh! ROFL. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 05:49, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Ssven2: I may watch S/O Satyamurthy today. Allu Arjun, Upendra, Rajendra Prasad along with namma Brahmi and MSN are being appreciated though the reviews are mixed. Let me see whether the film was really well considering the fact that it is the last major film of MSN, image-makeover of AA and comeback of Upendra. And, Tamil Nadu for now may not watch it. The smuggler's encounters became a huge worry. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 06:00, 10 April 2015 (UTC)

Sivaji
"Development" and "Casting" sections were relatively easier to handle. Hence worked on them today. It's only from the "Filming" section onwards that things get more, um....well, more. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 06:28, 10 April 2015 (UTC)

Only the last one is available for free, rest need subscription. The first one is at IEEE and may contain info on special effects. The 2nd one will be useful for both the current FAC and Rajini's article. BTW I have created Rajinikanth: The Definitive Biography. In Enthiran I have added more details for the book cites and found 1 minor problem. A search for ISBN "978-81-8475-796-5" at https://worldcat.org shows nothing. The book was originally published in 2012. Thanks,--Skr15081997 (talk) 06:40, 13 April 2015 (UTC)

Book articles are not always titled full. It is done only when an article alrealy exists at the main title (like here) else only the words before the ";" are considered (an example). Thanks, --Skr15081997 (talk) 05:06, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

I don't know why so many editors target your talk page to get back at me. I apologise for this unwanted inconvenience. --Krimuk|90 (talk) 07:40, 19 April 2015 (UTC)
- It's ok, you did nothing wrong; only inexperienced editors needlessly argue rather than learn. As for your question, I believe they think I'm docile, hence they come to my talkpage. And I can't believe how immature/sensitive Arjann is, despite him claiming on his user page that he is employed; he has now quit Wikipedia after this fight. This is the second time he did so, the first being after an argument with Vensatry. Who knows if he will return? Kailash29792 (talk) 08:23, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

Pride of Tamil cinema
A preview of this book is available on Google books. I was a little surprised to see a word-by-word copy of stuff from WP. It's quite obvious that Mr. Dhananjayan has referred our articles, K. Hariharan and Pavalakkodi to name a few. Feels as if we have won the award. :) —Vensatry (ping) 18:17, 27 April 2015 (UTC)
- It also has many inaccuracies and inconsistencies. Yet it was surprising that this book won a National Award; it appears like nothing other than a rehash of Danny's previous book. Kailash29792 (talk) 18:55, 27 April 2015 (UTC)
- Yup, quite some inaccuracies there. I haven't read his prev book either. But from the title, it's quite clear that he has merely added some films which were not included in the prev book. —Vensatry (ping) 19:16, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

Hello
Hello again. I will be here for a few days. I have currently expanded the Plot and Production section of Server Sundaram, which I am planning to take to GA. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 10:12, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
- Then all the best. But you do not intend to permanently leave Wiki, do you? Kailash29792 (talk) 11:09, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
- No. I don't intend to. :D Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 11:35, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
Gross or share
Which one among these two should be actually used in a film article's info box? Till now, for every GA of mine, i used share as rarely gross figures are available. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:27, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
- Typically gross would do. But always I include no fiscal information in infoboxes as India has no site (like Box Office Mojo) providing definitive results. Kailash29792 (talk) 14:33, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
- I then believe that share is a better option except for those where the gross figure is definitely known. How about IBTimes India? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:36, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
How much time it took for you to get an OTRS ticket link? I mean, when you requested the author and when you came to know the OTRS ticket number? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 13:17, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
- I don't know, and I don't fucking care. All I know is that if the owner of the image has formally given his consent to Wikimedia to use his image, then that should settle it. Been there, done that. Now I have uploaded an image of Hiphop Tamizha after the image's owner mailed Wikimedia, but it is still not entirely settled. Kailash29792 (talk) 14:07, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
- Just now I saw, it is settled. Kailash29792 (talk) 14:09, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
- I too can be reckless Kailash! If i want, i can copy the OTRS number from this file and place it in my upload silently. And the worsening thing is, the image will definitely be passed. When i request every tom, dick and harry there at commons to please help me find, there will be no response. OTRS Noticeboard, i asked there and a fellow asked me the ticket number instead? Again i explained him both at the board and his talk page. He never responds. If i upload it, they will delete saying copy vio or other shit and block me straight away. Another one says that commons takes copy vio very seriously. Then he can help me in this issue right? But no. Also these guys are admins. Period! Pavanjandhyala (talk) 15:15, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
Finally, GAV is a GA! My tenth consecutive GA success and the beginning of my fourth hat-trick! Pavanjandhyala (talk) 12:54, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
- Exactly 18 days later, Temper turns a GA! Just one more, and i shall complete my fourth GA hat trick! Pavanjandhyala (talk) 15:54, 1 May 2015 (UTC)

Avengers!!
Did you see Age of Ultron? It blew my mind. I saw it yesterday in Hindi and later in English, the same day. Scarlett Jo. stole the show, it was simply her show, hers was the best performance. Plus, my new favourite avenger is Wanda Maximoff played deliciously by Elizabeth Olsen. I can't wait for Civil war.—Prashant 18:08, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
- I will be seeing it tomorrow (Sunday). I hope it's not another one of those "VFX dominates everything including story and acting" movies. Kailash29792 (talk) 18:10, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
- Definitely not. It is more darker than the first one. It transported me to another world. The performances are brilliant especially that of Johanson, Olsen and Ruffalo. I wish Atwell was there for more time. You won't be dissapointed. They have kept the film very real much like The Winter Soldier.—Prashant 18:20, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
- The Winter Soldier was very real?! Ha ha, actually it was pretty good except for that flying suit near the end. Thanks for the heads up. BollyJeff | talk 20:27, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
- I saw it, it was amazing. I too cannot wait for Civil War, which seems to be becoming an Avengers 2.5. And we are all waiting for Infinity War, which will come in two parts. Kailash29792 (talk) 14:36, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hated it. Maybe I am just getting too old to be impressed by watching the same good guys, beating up similar bad guys, in the same unrealistic ways, time after time. There was no good acting. If you want to see real acting, watch The Theory of Everything for example. BollyJeff | talk 22:40, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

How did you get the images from the book and posted it in your photobucket profile? :) Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 06:30, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
- I just photographed the portions of the pages using printscreen, then merged them with photoshop. As for the GOCE editing, patiently wait till they start editing. Kailash29792 (talk) 10:32, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
Server Sundaram is nominated for GAN. I have sent a notification message to Dr. Blofeld regarding the same. The article was copyedited by GOCE member Folklore1. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 14:31, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
her look resembles Neelambari. What's your opinion on this? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 15:55, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
- She looks more realistically older than she did in that film. Kailash29792 (talk) 16:07, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
- Of course yes, but don't you think she looks too modern for a film like this? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 16:22, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
- Yes she does. Maybe it could be a film like Magadheera? Kailash29792 (talk) 16:25, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
- No, the film is a complete fiction set in an unspecified era. All the leads, and the director himself say that. He says it is set in the kingdom of Mahishmathi and a war named Keekala Yuddha happens between Baahubali and Bhallaladeva to decide the future king. When i saw the film's sets at RFC, i was sure that it is a period film considering Sabu Cyril's statements and the sketches he gave. Have a look of them. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 16:31, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
DYK for Ip Man 3
On 9 May 2015, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Ip Man 3, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Ip Man 3 may be Donnie Yen's final martial arts film? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Ip Man 3. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

I was reading The Hindu online today morning and happened to stumble upon this latest BFTP article by Guy. It seems quite inaccurate in the sense that in the first para, it says, "B.R. Panthulu did not make any profit as such because of the high cost of production.", whereas the statement in the third para reads, "It became a critical and commercial success and had a theatrical run of 175 days." Another thing is that some of the material, like the part where the autobiography of Ganesan is mentioned and the film length, looks like it had been copied from Wikipedia by Guy. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 04:25, 10 May 2015 (UTC)
- Yes it does look like a slight case of WP:MIRROR. But sometimes films do earn a lot of money more than other films, but the returns may still not surpass the film's budget, making them failures. Kailash29792 (talk) 06:32, 10 May 2015 (UTC)
To Add Additional Information To The Article
Sir Iam User:Sherya ghosal. i have created article about a movie called Muni 4 Please help to improve that article (S.C.Williams 16:24, 10 May 2015 (UTC))
- Fist of all, learn to communicate properly. And there should be no article on Muni 4 until shooting begins, per WP:NFF. Kailash29792 (talk) 17:02, 10 May 2015 (UTC)

Hey bro, wanted to share this with you and Pavanjandhyala, saw the trailer of the film yet? Can't stop thinking about it. Vadivelu is well and truly back this time!
- Vadivelu: Sir, enna ethittu ponga.
- Muthukaalai: Appo munnadi padu.
- Vadivelu: Athu illa sir, pinnadi ethittu ponga.
- Muthukaalai: Appo kupura padu.
ROFL there especially. If you haven't seen the trailer, here is the link. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 12:13, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Ssven2: Done watching. Looks good overall with subtle punches. What shocks me is the way Vadivelu ends the trailer saying "hi fans". And the second thing, i now understand why he is called the Brahmanandam of Tamil cinema by the Telugu audience. Let me see how this "rat" touches the finish line at the BO. Scarlet Witch
Here's an article from Entertainment Weekly which states that Scarlet Witch uses magic: "Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen play Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, a brother who can move at lightning speed, and a sister who can harness magic and engage in hypnosis and telekinesis." Richiekim (talk) 18:07, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
- Richiekim, you may use it then in Civil War. But it was removed from CW by User:Mrja84 who said, "Magic is not reference anywhere in the cited source. From Avengers 2, she has telekinetic and hypnosis, but not magic." Kailash29792 (talk) 18:09, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
Please if you could review it for GA. Yashthepunisher (talk) 7:20, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
- Happy to see you taking up GA Reviews. All the best Kailash. And if you don't mind, the poster of Uttama Villain should be changed. If you have watched the film, find a suitable one and upload it, considering that your judgement is fine than mine. Thank you, Pavanjandhyala (talk) 16:03, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
Just wanted to know the status of the GAR. Yashthepunisher (talk) 6:12 , 16 May 2015 (UTC)
- I'll get back this eve. Till then you continue improving the prose, and write all statements according to their sources. Kailash29792 (talk) 06:21, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
It has been a week since I nominated this article, I have completed the required improvements and updates. There is nothing left from my side. Please if you could review it quickly. Yashthepunisher (talk) 04:16, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
I have tried to resolve your comments, might wanna take a look at them. Yashthepunisher (talk) 05:38, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
I just saw the film's opening credits and the title was shown as Uyarndha Manithan. Can you move the page from Uyarndha Manidhan to Uyarndha Manithan? Also is there any information on the film from Ganesan's autobiography? If so, can you send them to thamizhan1593@gmail.com? Thank you. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 09:32, 17 May 2015 (UTC)
- I'll do asap. As for UA, why not follow WP:G6? Kailash29792 (talk) 14:50, 17 May 2015 (UTC)
- WP:G6 would be totally inappropriate here. Be WP:BOLD enough to make uncontroversial moves like this. —Vensatry (ping) 16:49, 17 May 2015 (UTC)
- Ah, didn't notice that the target page in itself is a redirect. All you could do is raise a request at WP:RMT. —Vensatry (ping) 16:53, 17 May 2015 (UTC)
Thank you for the thanks. Have you sent the photos for Uyarndha Manidhan from Ganesan's book yet? If you have not done so yet, please send them to thamizhan1593@gmail.com. Thank you. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 06:22, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
- I sent them. Check. Kailash29792 (talk) 06:35, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
- I have received them. Thank you again. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 06:43, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
Does the book AVM 60 Cinema (the one used for Anbe Vaa) have some information on Uyarndha Manithan? If so, can you e-mail the pages to me? Thank you. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 05:41, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, and I have mailed you them. Kailash29792 (talk) 06:34, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
- Got them. Thank you. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 07:54, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
Uyarndha Manidhan turns a GA! Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 08:07, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
Can you also send me Saravanan's information on Server Sundaram? Thank you. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 13:06, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
- If available, I will. And the book I have is the 2013 edition rather than the 2005 original. Kailash29792 (talk) 13:14, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
I plan to add more information by starting a sandbox article and write some more content there before moving them to the main article. I am also collecting references from newspapers, websites and magazines. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 05:29, 23 May 2015 (UTC)
- User:Ssven2 does the same. Do you have sufficient info from Conversations and Dhananjayan? Kailash29792 (talk) 05:57, 23 May 2015 (UTC)
- I actually looked at his collection of references on his user page and thought why not do the same for Nayakan because a lot of information is present. Dhananjayan's information on the film (2011 book) is on your photobucket I believe. As for Conversations, I still haven't used the whole lot of information from your photobucket photos. I will let you know when I have used all I can from the photos. Thank you. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 06:23, 23 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Thamizhan1994: Well this is the third user (besides Pavanjandhyala and StrikeEagle for Mayabazar) to be inspired by my work. All the best you two for taking one of the biggest blockbusters of Tamil cinema to GA (possibly FA as well)! — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 06:56, 23 May 2015 (UTC)

Can you send me Naman Ramachandran's information on the film? I am currently expanding it along with Nayakan (I am doing both in tandem). Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 14:41, 23 May 2015 (UTC)
- Shit! I was reading that book today at the shop, but did not think to photograph the pages. I'll try tomorrow. Kailash29792 (talk) 16:28, 23 May 2015 (UTC)
Thank you once again for the information from Ramachandran's book. I have sent a message to Jaguar to give 16 Vayathinile a copyedit. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 11:42, 26 May 2015 (UTC)
