Question from Hosambaloch (00:49, 9 March 2022)

hello i want to write an article on my music career frrom where can i start? --Hosambaloch (talk) 00:49, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

Hi Hosambaloch, welcome to Wikipedia! Writing an article about your self is strongly discouraged here. If you want to start contributing to Wikipedia, see WP:TASK, thank you! Justiyaya 01:47, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
Hi Hosambaloch, you should know that editing with a COI (where you have a personal connection with the subject of the article) is strongly discouraged as it can produce biased work that may not comply with WP:NPOV.
Also, if you really want to do so, you should make sure the subject is notable enough to deserve its own article here (a good way to determine this is checking online to make sure there are sources that cover this, as all Wikipedia articles must be referenced properly.
If you're sure you want to continue, you should check out WP:YFA for basics about writing articles. Liamyangll (talk to me!) 01:48, 9 March 2022 (UTC) (talk page watcher)
thank you so much for your guidence Hosambaloch (talk) 19:30, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

Hi Qazxqazsedc, welcome to Wikipedia! The task center contains a list of tasks on Wikipedia, choosing a task there might be a good place to start, if you have more questions about Wikipedia, feel free to ask another question or reply to this thread, thanks! Justiyaya 14:36, 13 March 2022 (UTC)

Question from NeverTry4Me (14:08, 19 March 2022)

May I edit as per Suggestbot's suggestion, if someone of those lists is personally known to me? Few such suggestions are personally known to me. I am a bit confused here. Please assist me. --NeverTry4Me - TT Page 14:08, 19 March 2022 (UTC)

Hi @NeverTry4Me I would strongly discourage you from doing so, as it probably would constitute a conflict of interest. Would suggest working on another article (there's a lot more articles needing improvements :)
Have a great day and happy editing :D, feel free to ask another question or reply below if you need me to clarify! Justiyaya 15:05, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
@Justiyaya: Do I need to revert to one that I added citations to fix the things? (Just knew him decade back, had virtual contact but never met in person. For more than a decade, we don't have any contact.) - NeverTry4Me - TT Page 15:10, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
@NeverTry4Me I don't think you should self revert here, I mentioned above that it would probably constitute a conflict of interest without really understanding the situation... sorry about that, assumed that it was a much more serious case of COI and not knew the person online 10 years ago kinda COI. I would say that you would probably be fine editing the article. It would probably be preferred if you disclosed the conflict of interest on your userpage (say basically what you said above). Thanks and sorry about that! Justiyaya 15:44, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
It's best that you give WP:COI, specifically WP:EXTERNALREL a read, they might be helpful :D Justiyaya 15:49, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
@Justiyaya: I have done this. Can you check my User-page whether I have done it in the proper way or not? Please.. - NeverTry4Me - TT Page 16:09, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
@NeverTry4Me That is perfect and far more than what is required (in a good way), thank you! Justiyaya 17:08, 19 March 2022 (UTC)

Question from NeverTry4Me (03:30, 25 March 2022)

Hi Valereee, I need your help with my Talk page archive. The Archive is not indexing the archive pages i.e. Archive1, Archive2, etc. --NeverTry4Me - TT Page 03:30, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

Hi @NeverTry4Me, Valereee is not doing Growth Team mentorship anymore... I'm currently assigned as your mentor, if you want me to, I can find you a new mentor. Anyways, I'm not very familiar with automatic archiving, sorry... Do you want me to perhaps ask on the teahouse? Justiyaya 03:58, 25 March 2022 (UTC)
@Justiyaya please find me a mentor for me. NeverTry4Me - TT Page 04:14, 25 March 2022 (UTC)
If you want a new mentor, Blaze Wolf is a Growth Team mentor and has bot based archiving enabled, perhaps he can help. Justiyaya 04:48, 25 March 2022 (UTC)
It looks like someone's offered assistance at the Teahouse. Also, Blaze Wolf is currently on a wiki break.
If you're looking for a long-term mentor, you may want to reach out to someone who is willing to adopt you. ––FormalDude talk 05:43, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

Hello, Justiyaya,

Rather than PRODding a very incomplete article like this or tagging it for deletion, you might consider moving it to Draft space where a new editor can continue to work on it and learn about editing through improving stub articles like this. We have some very handy scripts you can install to make this very simple for you. The one I prefer is at User:Evad37/MoveToDraft and after you add the code to one of your .js pages, it places an option to either "Draftify" or "Move to Draft" in the More drop down tab at the top of the page. One feature of this script is that it not only moves the page from main space to Draft space but it also posts a notification to the new editor, letting them know where they can now find their page creation. Another neat feature is that it will start up a "Draftify" log for you, where you can track or keep watch over pages that you have moved to Draft space, this is similar to CSD logs, PROD logs and XfD logs that Twinkle provides for those who use this tool.

While many of these pages are not likely to become full-fledged articles in main space, one thought behind draftifying pages is that, for a new editor, they can improve their editing skills in Draft space and is less jarring than having a page they created, which might be their first attempt at writing an article, be tagged for deletion. I'm sure an editor who has only been here a few days has no idea what a PROD is and not know that they can untag articles that have been PROD'd and work on them. It's all a gentler way to encourage new editors to hone their skills and become better contributors.

Please consider draftifying articles in the future if you see a new editor attempt to create articles that are just not ready for main space. However, draftifying articles is not a good idea to do for experienced editors who might just be at the beginning stage of working on an article, but you can check their contributions to see if this is the case. Also, truly bad content like copyright violations, advertising or vandalism should just be tagged for immediate deletion. Thank you for all of the work you do on Wikipedia! It is appreciated! Liz Read! Talk! 17:05, 26 March 2022 (UTC)

Thank you so much for the note Liz, I have the script installed and considered draftifying before placing the PROD. Think I got confused with the "has some potential merit" part of WP:Draftify as I thought it required evidence of notability, sorry about that. Should I revert the prod and draftify instead? Question from Caline el hayek (22:59, 26 March 2022)

hello how can i edit my draft? i have made few mistakes while adding the links --Caline el hayek (talk) 22:59, 26 March 2022 (UTC)

Hi Caline el hayek, welcome to Wikipedia! Writing your first article can be really challenging as a beginner, it would be best if you helped out with other tasks before trying to create one. If you insist on creating a new article, please review WP:1st and our notability guidelines. I would recommend starting with replying here with three sources that are independent, reliable, and provides significant coverage to the subject of the article you are trying to create. Justiyaya 06:23, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
Hi Caline el hayek, I just wanted to let you know that your draft has been deleted as our administrators believed it was created for advertising or promotional purposes. This means it is very likely not notable, or was written in a tone that suggested personal conflict of interest, which is discouraged. Justiyaya's right - writing articles of your own can be very hard at first, so maybe take some time to get to know Wikipedia by helping out with smaller, easier tasks first. Thanks, Liamyangll (talk to me!) 06:55, 27 March 2022 (UTC) (watching)
thank you, I wasn’t aware of that.
best regards. Caline el hayek (talk) 09:23, 27 March 2022 (UTC)

Tozzitivity

Tozzitivity: is a new word describing the Lebanese state of mind towards the latest tough circumstances that happened from 2018 to 2022. it's a combination of a weird and unexplained positivity and a deep feeling of apathy and detachment. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Caline el hayek (talkcontribs) 09:31, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
