License tagging for File:Good Thinking Society-Golden Duck Award.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Good Thinking Society-Golden Duck Award.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:05, 2 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Skeptics

[edit]

Greetings, I responded to your concern on my talk page, but I wanted to reassure you that nothing is being deleted. All the links will be fixed, and all the lists and tools will be preserved. I am not into deleting things. The Pseudoscience project is being merged into the Rational Skepticism project, and all members will continue to be members. This was discussed on the project talk pages. Greg Bard (talk) 19:50, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings

[edit]

Hey its me again and its about the project. I want to put Anneliese Michel(especially that section which has no citations) in the project page to-do list since I cannot find any good sources and some are in german, what do you think? Also I'm working on Basava Premanand(which was on the to-do list) and trying to find sources to expand it right now, suppose I manage to do this should I remove it from the list? Thanks. -Ugog Nizdast (talk) 06:32, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, yes, please add Anneliese Michel, anything you think is skeptic related is ok to add to the list. Also, please add our tag on talk pages of articles, Anneliese's talk page doesn't show our interest, so if you add it the page will be included in our statistics and we will continue to monitor it. If you have German sources I can find you help with translations if you need it? Or we could have a German speaker update the page. Basava Premanand's page has our tag on it so it is ok to remove it from the 'to do' list. We can also help with proofreaders, people like MrBill are great at picking up typos and where we have broken Wiki rules. I can ask someone to do proofreading for your skeptic project articles if you like? Joolzzt (talk) 13:33, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I added it to the list and removed the other one. Also on her article page, I have put the project's template and hope it is done correctly since there is no rating or any other information yet. You can help with German? That would be great. I can't do much regarding the Anneliese article at least by what I've searched so far. I have updated the Basava Premanand article but it still needs some work, why don't you briefly skim through it? I haven't finished it but later it would be good if it got some proofreading. -Ugog Nizdast (talk) 10:54, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Great updates for Basava Premanand. May I suggest reverting to skeptic with a 'k'? I know it isn't the 'correct' spelling but an explanation of why we tend to use the 'k' can be found here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Joolzzt/Edinburgh_Skeptics#Skeptics_With_A_.E2.80.98K.E2.80.99. May I also suggest changing the heading 'challenge' to the name of the challenge? If challenge is continuing it would be good to say that too. An interesting read, thank you. Let me know when you are ready for a skeptic proofreader. Joolzzt (talk) 18:04, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Get back to you after some time. -Ugog Nizdast (talk) 19:14, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Sceptics on the Fringe, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 02:05, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Joolzzt. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Sceptics on the Fringe".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Sceptics on the Fringe}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 10:00, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. File permission problem with File:Good Thinking Society-Golden Duck Award.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Good Thinking Society-Golden Duck Award.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, BOT-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate your file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 03:01, 10 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
