Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please make sure to include an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! SummerPhD (talk) 14:40, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

Editing Locked Pages

Hi how do you edit locked pages? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Youjusgotcrabs (talkcontribs) 07:47, 4 July 2014 (UTC) Happy Fourth of July! Hi, you can only edit locked pages unless you have a certain qualification that applies to that page. Certain pages might require you to have a certain amount of edits, etc. Hope this helps you! Don't be afraid to ask if you have any more questions! :) Have a nice day. --Jonathanjoseph81 (talk) 18:47, 4 July 2014 (UTC

YOUR EDIT TO THE FOLLOWING https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_programs_broadcast_by_Nickelodeon IS INACCURATE AND WILL BE CHANGED BACK TO THE RIGHTFUL AND ACCURATE WAY THAT IS NESSARY! IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, COMMENTS, OR SOME SORT AT ALL U MAY TALK TO THE STAFF OR ME! THIS MESSAGE FORHIBITS TO BE COPIED, PRESSURE OR THREATEN ANYONE AS IT IS A REMINDER TO TELL U THAT ITS A MISUNDERSTANDING AND A WARNING TO NOT DO THAT AGAIN!-----------

Yes, I do keep changing Sam & Cat from ended to current for many reasons. One, it is still airing episodes until July 17, 2014. Two, there is no official confirmation of Sam & Cat ending. Sam & Cat should ONLY be removed from current programming if it is past July 17, 2014 and there is an official confirmation of the show ending. So my edit should not be reverted. --Jonathanjoseph81 (talk) 18:03, 12 July 2014 (UTC)

Rising Star

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

I don't get why you bothered to revert my edit adding an end date when the season is clearly over. Sources for that are everywhere in the article. The only way that "present" could be the end date is if the series gets renewed and a second season starts. —烏Γ (kaw), 02:46, 28 August 2014 (UTC)

RE: Rising Star

Yes the season of Rising Star is over, but there is no official confirmation of this. Yes, I know that the season is over. T.V shows may take a while to be renewed or cancelled, after the season ends. If there is a source for the cancellation, then please provide the source, and I am sorry if there is. But until there is an official confirmation the show should stay under present. You said yourself that it could stay under present if the series gets renewed, and the series has not been renewed or cancelled yet. Thank you --Jonathan Joseph (talk) 12:05, 28 August 2014 (UTC)

Saving Country Music

Okay, looking at the site again, it does seem to be a one man operation with no editorial oversight, which would probably make it not reliable. Since it was the only negative review on some of the articles you took it from, I thought you were whitewashing at first, but now I see that your edits are in good faith. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of The Middle (season 7), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://movieweb.com/tv/the-middle/season-1/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a loss of editing privileges.

You need to stick to the template that the source provides, and that does not state the information you want to put in. Plus, Wikipedia does not accept plain links as sources, due to link rot. livelikemusic my talk page! 01:12, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from The Middle (season 6) into The Middle (season 7). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Moonriddengirl (talk) 02:35, 11 September 2015 (UTC)

I see you are still not adding the required attribution, as required under the terms of the CC-by-SA license. Please have a look at this edit summary as an example of how it is done. Please leave a message on my talk page if you still don't understand what to do or why we have to do it. Thanks, — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:18, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

I hope Friend Zone by Danielle Bradbery flops. That song isn't really good, IMO. It's gonna be dire if that song rises this week. --Jack Gaines (talk) 01:26, 29 September 2015 (UTC)

What is going on here. I can see from above that you've apparently made good contributions in the past, and the song is current so perhaps it is moving up in the charts, but if you provide no citation -- and, indeed, leave a citation that cites for a rank of 41 -- you can't change the number to something that contradicts the existing citation. - Jmabel | Talk 06:46, 3 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. The Middle

Hi, in regards to your recent reverts on The Middle (season 8), you're entirely correct that season articles basically serve to list the episodes/plot summaries and don't need much more. Since no episodes have aired yet, little is actually known about the episodes, though; there's nothing unique or substantial at this point which is not already covered in List of The Middle episodes. It's fairly useless to apply the standard season format when there's that little content; I think it's better to wait until a few episodes have aired and then recreate it as an appropriate WP:SPINOUT. Patience, and all that. —0xF8E8 (talk) 02:21, 26 September 2016 (UTC)

It appears that problematic editor is making spurious accusations because he can't get his own way. I've repeatedly asked him to discuss these changes rather than attempting to force them through, but he doesn't want to listen. I'm almost about to give up on the Sun Records page, it's not worth the hassle. But if you look at the talk page, he's making laughable threats with sock puppet allegations. Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to The Middle (season 9). I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Riverdale (season 1), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Fred Andrews (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Replaceable fair use File:Carrie Underwood Album Six Promotional photo.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Carrie Underwood Album Six Promotional photo.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Aspects (talk) 21:50, 4 June 2018 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Riverdale (2017 TV series) into List of Riverdale episodes. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 16:29, 2 July 2018 (UTC)

Notice

The article Deacon Claybourne has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

1. Article cites no secondary sources. 2. Content is simply plot summary.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. CLOSED February 2019

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Fuller House (TV series); that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Amaury (talk | contribs) 00:40, 1 February 2019 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:The Vampire Diaries Official Logo.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file licensed as "for non-commercial use only", "no derivative use", "for Wikipedia use only", or "used with permission"; and it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag and if necessary, a complete fair use rationale.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Those references were needed when you removed them

The additional references on Brett Young (singer) that you removed here were needed at the time you removed them, as the header source did not contain that information. Users don't add extra sources below peaks for fun. They're temporary sources until the header refs update. In future, check to make sure the header refs support the content in the columns before removing the extra sources, otherwise you are leaving information unsourced, and this doesn't help anybody. Thanks. Ss112 07:47, 14 April 2020 (UTC)

Power Book II: Ghost moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Power Book II: Ghost, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Smallville

That's fine to want more details, but the plot tag isn't for pages where the summaries are less than the allotted word limit per WP:MOSTV. That's a guide that discusses the max. There isn't a minimum (short of blank). They aren't copied from the press releases, they are just summaries of the press releases, which themselves were not very detailed, thus why they appear similar. You are welcome to add more detail, but tagging the page like it is missing something that it isn't, simply because you want more detail, isn't an appropriate use of the tag.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 21:27, 27 January 2021 (UTC)

TV Series Finale

The website is not reliable and none of the people working on it have any experience in the field. It's just a fan site which its staff page clearly states. Please stop using it and wait for more reliable sources instead. Otherwise we should start using sources like Spoiler Tv too. LéKashmiriSocialiste (talk) 15:00, 10 July 2021 (UTC)

Okay, but I’m not the one who started using it. I only used it for sources after many other users and pages already had done so. So maybe speak with the ones who implemented it.--Jonathan (talk) 19:46, 10 July 2021 (UTC)

Nobody is blaming you. I'm not much active and I don't have time to scroll to check every person using it. Many actually seem to be IPs. I leave an edit summary usually about it. LéKashmiriSocialiste (talk) 07:39, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
I didn’t mean to infer you were, my point was that I believe a lot of articles will continue to use it because there’s a lot of people who haven’t gotten the message that it’s not acceptable and so many shows are airing. For instance, I began using it as I saw many others doing so. Perhaps I’ll look into getting the word out. --Jonathan (talk) 08:00, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
Thank you. It gets really problematic when some people can't wait for a few weeks and start relying on fan-sites. IF TVSF can be used I don't see a problem with SpoilerTV, given they also say they get their data from Nielsen. LéKashmiriSocialiste (talk) 08:04, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
The problem, I think is, it appears Programming Insider stopped posting final ratings a month ago, and we're left with no place to get the ratings.--Jonathan (talk) 21:25, 16 July 2021 (UTC)

Why did you add Legacies to Oliver Ackland’s Wikipedia filmography? Did you know that episode already aired? If you were playing a prank, it isn’t funny and you should remove it. Mentions of character’s names don’t count as actor appearances. So please tell where you heard the rumor or remove it. 2603:9001:700C:4BDC:F9D4:A168:368D:5DF2 (talk) 14:39, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
