[edit]Hi Jolly246! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. We hope to see you there!

Hello Jolly! Your additions to Algernon William Percy have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Sennecaster (What now?) 20:08, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for April 4
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited William D. Clark, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Alfred Richardson. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:09, 4 April 2021 (UTC)
Sockpuppet investigation
[edit]An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mariah200, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Shadi Mar'i moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Shadi Mar'i, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. [edit]Hallo, Thank you for creating Bill Carden (diplomat). When you create an article like this with a "disambiguated" title, please make sure that the reader can find it from the basic name (ie Bill Carden), by adding or expanding a hatnote, or adding the article to a disambiguation page. This helps the reader to find your article, and also reduces the chance of a future careless editor creating a duplicate article with a slightly different disambiguator. I've fixed this one.
It's also useful to create a redirect from any other version of their name which you mention in the article, or which is used in any references. By creating a redirect from Derrick Charles Carden I've resolved a red link in List of British representatives in Muscat and Oman. People quite often have an existing red link using the full "Sunday" version of their name, perhaps a list of honours recipients. Thanks, and Happy Editing. PamD 13:42, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
Dear Pam, Thank you for taking the time to correct my naming error. I've made a note of this for the future. All the best, User:Jolly

ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message
[edit]January 2022
[edit]Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. Please stop creating articles, or doing any other editing, until you learn what the basic encyclopedic criteria are. WP:N You are spamming junk articles that waste the time and effort of lots of volunteers. This is disruptive editing and users can be blocked for this. — Smuckola(talk) 03:41, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
The article Hermann Epenstein has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Notability is not inherited, the only two sources which talk about him are about Goring, and mention him in relation to the Nazi.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Onel5969 TT me 12:51, 3 February 2022 (UTC)

Who's Who & Who Was Who
[edit]Hi Jolly,
I just wanted to let you know that a 2022 Request for Comments at the reliable sources noticeboard unanimously determined that Who's Who is a generally unreliable source and should not be used in Wikipedia articles, per WP:GUNREL. Frederick Bishop, Alexander Isserlis, and Arthur Norman Halls and other pages you may have created almost exclusively rely on this source, and so I will be moving them to draft space to allow you and other editors to find more sources to meet the general notability guideline. If you'd like to contest draftification, see WP:DRAFTOBJECT. Please be aware that if you object to draftification, due to their current state, these articles may be nominated for deletion. Thank you. Pilaz (talk) 08:16, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Pilaz: Thank you for helping with the mass draftification of all this garbage. This person is a belligerent spammer of junk stubs, and will not engage anyone ever. He's even creating new spam like Derek Mitchell (civil servant) and re-spamming several draftified ones back into Main space. There's a cohort of other lawyer spam fans who have un-draftified some of the spam, and have replaced Who's Who citations on the grounds that it is.....respected lol. Just check the edit summary. Also I think Who's Who is probably not the only non-RS they like to use in their lawyer spam. There are other sites that only exist to rate lawyers. And what about Oxford Dictionary of National Biography? Anyway the point is, can you please continue draftifying the other junk? Thanks. — Smuckola(talk) 09:02, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Smuckola: Thanks for letting me know, Smuckola, I will be taking a closer look. There's currently an open discussion at the village pump on "immunity" from draftification after a certain time (30 days or 90 days), so I'm a bit concerned about going beyond 30 days. But I'm happy to nominate the unnotable biographies for deletion. If you have any suggestions, feel free to send them my way. The lawyers seems like good candidates. I am unsure about the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, but I know that WP:ANYBIO has a criterium that states that a person who has an entry
in a country's standard national biographical dictionary (e.g. the Dictionary of National Biography)
is likely to be notable. Whether Oxford Dictionary of National Biography is an independent and reliable source is a good question, a commentator told me that some of its information came from Who's Who, which could be a significant red flag. Pilaz (talk) 09:56, 14 March 2022 (UTC)- @Pilaz: See how they like to cherry-pick this nonsense. Like I said, please feel free to draftify this stubspam: Derek Mitchell (civil servant) and Andrew Caldecott (barrister). Check his edit history and look at the other common sources in this lawyer spam, like legal500 and 5rb.com as in that last one; are those RS or just more commercial directories? You're absolutely right to bring up that Village Pump thread because this is a type of WP:TENDENTIOUS editing, of abusing the draft process and the free article creation process like a form of edit warring and personal agenda spam. Creating and abandoning unlimited stubs forever, and refusing to respond to any communication, is an absolute declaration of commitment to serial abandonment of drafts. Even where it's not one edit within one article, it is a pattern of defiantly belligerently anti-encyclopedic personal agenda and robotic behavior, akin to commercial spam. Actually I think every one of them should already be PROD or AfD right meow because it is conclusively proven they are abandoned, and this editor only abandons everything in between positive edits on existing established articles. Especially the ones where no WP:N is even demonstrated at all. Thank you. — Smuckola(talk) 18:23, 18 March 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. You are still belligerently spamming drafts of junk stub articles. You are creating new junk stubs, and you are belligerently moving draftified junk from Draft space back to main space, unimproved. You're refusing to engage this Talk page, and instead spamming a worthless canned edit message citing some random user's personal essay about notability of lawyers. That is not a site policy, its criteria are not even applicable to all your junk stubs, and notability is not magically bestowed by an idea. Rather, the burden is solely on you to conclusively prove it with a large body of actual reliably cited content. An actual complete article, not the junk you're dumping on the world. I also question many of the rest of your sources, like Legal 500. Your editing is disruptive. You are obviously completely unconcerned with mass-wasting the time of volunteers, with creating any remotely worthwhile content, with learning the basic policies of the site such as WP:N WP:RS, or with being blocked for it. — Smuckola(talk) 08:59, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
