Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Johnnykaotic, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as User:Johnnykaotic, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

Hello Johnnykaotic, and welcome to Wikipedia! Unfortunately, Wikipedia isn't a web host. While users are allowed to have some non-encyclopaedic content in their user spaces, things like blogs, resumes, personal datadumps, etc aren't allowed. That's why I requested your userpage be deleted. Sirocco745 (talk) 06:05, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

So how do djs / artist get wikapedia pages that people can learn about their history. Yheir career. Discov refrences etc Johnnykaotic (talk) 13:23, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You do your job well enough for multiple reliable secondary sources to notice you and make news articles about you, then you wait for someone else to create your article. While creating articles about yourself isn't forbidden per se, it's highly recommended against due to things such as conflict of interest, feelings of ownership about the article, not keeping to a neutral tone of voice, etc. Wikipedia isn't for you to advertise on, it's only to record information about subjects deemed notable enough. If you can scrape together enough news stories about yourself that come from reliable outlets you don't have a personal connection to, then there's a chance you could get yourself an article. I highly recommend against creating it yourself though. Sirocco745 (talk) 21:28, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
