Images in your draft
[edit]You do yourself no favors in getting your draft accepted when you include the image of someone else in your draft; that just give the impression you're playing games with us. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 17:58, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
AFC decline notices
[edit]Do not remove the AFC decline notices from your article. Other editors need to know the history of your submission process. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 17:59, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
COI
[edit]Hello, JohnnyBNBartlett. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 2601:188:180:11F0:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 18:06, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
- This really includes adding personal information about you or your family members anywhere on Wikipedia--it's a violation of WP:BLP guidelines. 2601:188:180:11F0:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 18:08, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
Sources
[edit]I see that you've resubmitted your draft for review, but you have not yet added any reliable sources. (For the record, IMDb is not considered a reliable source. See WP:Citing IMDb for details.) I'm glad you're proud of your dad's career, but nothing you've shared so far appears to make him notable according to Wikipedia's standards. I won't decline the submission again (I figure to declines in a row is enough from one editor), but I doubt anyone else who reviews it will accept it in its present state. You'll need to provided evidence that Nick Bartlett has been the subject of significant coverage in newspapers, magazines, books, TV, radio or websites. In this case, "significant" would mean a publication whose readership goes to the state/province or national level, where an entire article is dedicated to Bartlett's career or a given performance. Find two or more such articles, and you'll be on track. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:27, 7 March 2018 (UTC)

John Vernon Bartlett
[edit]Hi Johnny. Thanks for adding information to John Vernon Bartlett. Please note that I have reverted this for now as no source was provided. Please read our policies on WP:Reliable sources and WP:Citing sources and look to correctly attribute the source of any new information when re-adding. Judging from your name I guess you may be related to Bartlett? If so you may have a conflict of interest and it would be worth reviewing our policy at WP:Conflict of interest. Thanks - Dumelow (talk) 12:14, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:John vernon Bartlett.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:John vernon Bartlett.jpg, which you've attributed to © 2008-2018 TunnelTalk.com All rights reserved.. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ronhjones (Talk) 16:58, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

The page File:Bartlett Library Books.jpg has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appeared to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion Review Wikiacc (¶) 01:58, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, JohnnyBNBartlett. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page John Vernon Bartlett, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Wikiacc (¶) 01:59, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
