Iñaki Rueda
Hi I’ve rewritten the Iñaki Rueda article so can you check it again. Sorry for any inconveniences. Ralphster7 (talk) 17:24, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Ralphster7. It's still pretty close. Have a look at copyvios.toolforge.org, the red highlighted text needs to be minimal. Regards --John B123 (talk) 17:30, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
- Is it better now? Ralphster7 (talk) 17:48, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
- I think that should do it. --John B123 (talk) 18:20, 20 August 2020 (UTC)

Why did you reverse the edit without joining the discussion? Please, explain there why we shouldn't follow what is written in MOS:LEADIMAGE in that specific article. There is a topic about lead image in the talk page. gabibb2 ✉ 18:34, 20 August 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Weimador
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Weimador requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://wagwalking.com/breed/labmaraner. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - @Umakant Bhalerao: How can a redirect be a copyvio? --John B123 (talk) 12:32, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- You just moved this article to draftspace and requested redirect to be deleted under WP:R2. I think it should rather have been speedy deleted for copyvio as the content of this article has been copied from [1]. I had nominated the main article for speedy deletion under WP:G12, since you already moved it to draftspace Twinkle tagged redirect for deletion.Umakant Bhalerao (talk) 12:51, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- Tools such as Twinkle are not foolproof, you need to check what is being changed not just press the button and move on. Remember you are responsible for your edits even when tools or scripts make an error. Unjustified automated messages threatening sanctions being placed on other user's talk pages is not acceptable. --John B123 (talk) 12:59, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- I have been using this tool for quite a long time and know very well how it works. It was just a coincidence that we both took action at the same time.Umakant Bhalerao (talk) 15:22, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- The logs show a 4 minute difference between my moving the article to draft and your tagging of the draft. That aside, there is no excuse for not checking your edits. As I said before Unjustified automated messages threatening sanctions being placed on other user's talk pages is not acceptable. --John B123 (talk) 15:39, 23 August 2020 (UTC) - forgot to ping Umakant Bhalerao --John B123 (talk) 15:41, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Human Rights Protection Act Draft:Mahadevar Temple, Nelveli--Prasanth202 (talk) 16:08, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Prasanth202 Both articles need more references. As a rule every paragraph needs a reference to it. It's perfectly acceptable to reuse a reference if it is applicable to 2 or more paragraphs. --John B123 (talk) 16:24, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
Environmental history of Latin America
I am in the process of finalizing sections of this new article. I will be happy to hear your suggestions as the article evolves. I did want to get the bibliography accessible to readers, so right now it is the tail wagging the dog. Best regards,Amuseclio (talk) 21:45, 23 August 2020 (UTC)Amuseclio
- Hi Amuseclio. I've marked the article as reviewed. The bibliography section is overpowering, but it would be a shame to trim it down. Perhaps it could be collapsed in normal view and a reader can expand if they wanted to look at it (This can be achieved by added {{collapse-top}} before the section and {{collapse-bottom}} after.) Adding some more wikilinks to other article within the body of the text might be good. Otherwise it looks fine. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 22:23, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks! There will be text to support all -- or almost all -- the citations in the bibliography, as I work my way through. There will be more links. And the article is no longer an orphan. I have never learned how to do any of the spiffy auto-formatting that you suggest for the further reading section. But I've come pretty far from writing my doctoral dissertation on a typewriter. LOL. Cheers, 22:32, 23 August 2020 (UTC)Amuseclio
- I remember using a typewriter, I doubt I could type anything intelligible on one now having got used to all the modern aids we have! Sounds like it's going to be quite an article when you finish it. Let me know if you need help on any technical issues. Regards --John B123 (talk) 22:46, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

Hey there
Hi again,
John, please show me the rules of stadiums. Which from UBS Arena, Sydney Football Stadium (2022), Agia Sophia Stadium, MSG Sphere at The Venetian etc have "notability tag"? If you keep doing this, I will also do it against any English stadium under construction, just to know. Because I feel you have something against Romanians or Romania articles. I am free to open even pages for 3rd division stadiums in Romania, I am supported by the rules of stadiums. Now prove a stadium under construction for a Liga I club is not notable. And I will obey any rules. But notice all the English and maybe not just English stadiums in the world, will also obey! Rostadia2012 (talk) 23:00, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Rostadia2012 The advice from Wikipedia:WikiProject Event Venues on their notability page is that venues only gain notability once a qualifying match has been played. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 22:09, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- It is written "Currently hosts or has hosted a Professional sports team", so it's enough to be built for a professional sports team including Liga I (professional) in my country or the national team. Based on that logic, an under construction Wembley Arena or the O2 Arena in London wouldn't have been on Wikipedia. Just saying. Rostadia2012 (talk) 23:14, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

New pages
Hiya, I do some informal anti-vandal (rollback, CSD, RFD) works on Simple Wiki and wanted to take a stab at some of of the new pages here. I understand that the process may be a little bit more complex and there are many layers involved, so I try to be careful with my changes. I had a read at Wikipedia:New pages patrol today, and I noticed you've been doing quite a lot of work in this space. Would you mind if I pop in your talk page from time to time with some questions in case I get stuck/unsure of anything? I will try to consult the official NPP page first so I don't have to disturb you often. Many thanks! =) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Infogapp1 (talk • contribs)
- Hi Infogapp1, always happy to help if I can. Have you applied for the relevant permissions at WP:PERM? Regards --John B123 (talk) 07:08, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- Appreciate it. Not yet. I just want to learn the ropes first before I apply for anything =)
August 2020
Hello John B123. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know, however, that there is consensus that we shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1) and/or content (CSD A3) moments after they are created, as you did at Franklin Ho. It's usually best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Tagging such pages in a very short space of time may drive away well-meaning contributors, which is not good for Wikipedia. Attack pages (G10), patent nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course still be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks. {{u|Sdkb}} talk 07:12, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Sdkb: The page Franklin Ho was tagged as an orphan not for speedy deletion. --John B123 (talk) 07:18, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- John B123, sorry, the {{uw-hasty}} template above isn't perfectly tuned. The point stands, though, that it's best to wait more than 30 seconds after the creation of the page to tag it; I added the redirect that de-orphaned as soon as I launched it. {{u|Sdkb}} talk 07:20, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Sdkb: I don't agree in the case of an orphan tag. I also don't appreciate your original message. Whilst the problem may be with a script, you have a duty to check all your edits. If your not happy with my patrolling feel free to involve a relevant admin.--John B123 (talk) 07:26, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- Edit to add, {{uw-hasty}} is clearly marked in twinkle as being for speedy deletion, so it's not just a template needing tuning, it's inappropriate use of the tag. --John B123 (talk) 07:45, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
Stub tag, apologies
Sorry, I was knocking that David Gibson article together quickly in a bit of downtime (before leaving the office hee hee) and his time in America caught me by surprise and took longer to add, and the stub tag slipped my mind in my haste. I know I'm creating a lot of these and it's often you who reviews them so just to let you know the advice isn't being wilfully ignored! Crowsus (talk) 18:27, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Crowsus No problem. Regards --John B123 (talk) 18:35, 25 August 2020 (UTC)

Hello John B123,
I hope you are fine. You have reviewed my page Kupchino district, thank you, I'm going to improve it in the near future. May i request you also to check my other page : Draft:Denis Zhivotovsky from the band Amatory. The Order of Sin Eaters
Hi, John B123! You have recently reviewed my article The Order of Sin Eaters and moved it to draft. I've added some hyperlinks (common terms and geograpical names) and have done some minor text formatting. But I feel it's not enough. I would highly appreciate if you give me a piece of advice on how I can improve and get my article published. Thank you! Antonvip85 (talk) 10:19, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Antonvip85. I've had a look at the article and the changes you've made look good. However, the article doesn't have any references. See WP:REFBEGIN. Regards --John B123 (talk) 17:26, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
The Yellow Expedition
How many footnotes do I need to make the article not "stub" anymore? Or how long should the article at the minimum be in order not to be considered "stub"? Sorry for my bad English. – Derim Hunt (talk) 15:43, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Derim Hunt. The number of footnotes doesn't come into deciding if an article is a stub or not. It is decided more on article length but there are no hard and fast rules - see WP:STUBDEF. I've looked at Yellow Expedition, and the work you've done to the article certainly qualifies it as a start class now. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 17:38, 26 August 2020 (UTC)

Stéphane Masala
Hello I saw you put the suggestion of notability guidelines at the top of the article Stéphane Masala. I believe that this article is 100 percent notable enough to be on wikipedia, as Masala made "an appearance" as the coach in the 2017-18 Coupe de France final. He was the coach in a major final and therefore meets the notability, just like a player making an appearance in an official professional match is enough to be considered notable. Thanks, just sharing my thoughts with you, that I believe the article should be Wikipedia. Paul Vaurie (talk) 00:06, 29 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Paul Vaurie, yes you're right - I've left a fuller message on your talk page. Regards --John B123 (talk) 07:53, 29 August 2020 (UTC)
