The WikiProject Event Venues/Sports task force aim to promote the creation of high-quality articles about stadiums and related topics.
Wikipedia contains many articles on topics related to stadiums and other sports venues. These guidelines are not meant to be all-inclusive. As in all things, in order for an article to exist on Wikipedia, there should be reliable sources of information and the article cannot be original research. Articles must be written in a neutral point of view and not overly complimentory or derogatory to the team or topic.
Stadiums and indoor arenas

A stadium or indoor arena shall be considered notable for this projects scope if they fulfill one of the following criteria and if they otherwise fulfill the requirements of WP:V:
- Currently hosts or has hosted a Professional sports team
- Currently hosts or has hosted a semi-pro or amateur team in the top division of a country and which there is no professional league. As an example, the FAI Premier Division.
- Currently hosts or has hosted a team in the NCAA, Major Junior ice hockey, or like amateur organization
- Has hosted a World Championship, Olympics, World Cup or some sort major event
- Has hosted a sanctioned, international match
Race tracks

A race track shall be considered notable for this projects scope if they fulfill one of the following criteria and if they otherwise fulfill the requirements of WP:V:
- Currently hosts or has hosted an event in a major racing series, including, but not limited to, Formula 1, NASCAR, IndyCar, NHRA, Moto GP, CART, World Rally, etc.
- Currently hosts or has hosted a major horse racing event
Golf courses

A golf course shall be considered notable for this projects scope if they fulfill one of the following criteria and if they otherwise fulfill the requirements of WP:V:
- Currently hosts or has hosted an event on a major golf tour; including, but not limited to, PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, European Tour, Champions Tour, etc.
- Has hosted a major team event, such as the Ryder Cup, Presidents Cup, etc
- Has won some sort of award related to golf courses
Tennis courts

A tennis court shall be considered notable for this projects scope if they fulfill one of the following criteria and if they otherwise fulfill the requirements of WP:V:
- Currently hosts or has hosted an event in a major tennis series; including, but not limited to, ATP, WTA, etc.
- Has hosted a Davis Cup or Federation Cup event
