Please be sure to read and make sure you understand our policy on usernames before warning users about it; usernames which suggest a conflict of interest aren't prohibited in the policy unless it appears that they are editing on behalf of a group or company, so User:Hannover dk does not appear to be a violation. Greetings Joe, I've received your letter about my new editing. I understand well the responsibility new and old contributors have for wikipedia and people who are reading it. The information we provide must be reliable, trustworthy and providing lots of references for it's validation. Please notice, that the sections I added in the page about Shen Yun, have many references to them and the information is not something "I made up", as it was well documented and published in various media sources. I hope you'll take some time to read it for your reference, to see that what is written is a valuable source of information and can be checked and verified. I am not affiliated with Shen Yun, but I've seen the show three times when I lived in Toronto. Now I reside in Israel. It's entirely possible that the post removal was accidental - particularly as the edit includes additions from DMS. There is a new "smart edit filter" which I ran afoul of a few times - when editing a section I think it tries to merge changes which previously would have just conflicted. Not 100% sure on the details, but this comes up fairly often :) --Errant (chat!) 23:27, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

I appreciate you taking the time for the very tentative and self-contradictory welcome, which includes the threat implied in the warning template you used. Hi Joe, i am hoping you can give me some help with getting logged in properly to all parts of Wikipedia. I created an identity yesterday with which i created a page for Rebecca J. Keck. Please take a look at the page and let me know what you think. Today, i decided to work on links relating to Dr. John H. Wikipedia does not have a user page with this exact name. In general, this page should be created and edited by User:Greta Nettleton. If in doubt, please verify that "Greta Nettleton" exists. Search for "User:Greta Nettleton" in existing pages of namespace User. Look for pages within Wikipedia that link to this title. Obviously i exist, because i just set up the identity. why does it not recognize me when i came back to it? Hi Joe- I really appreciate you seeing the situation so clearly over on the Marisol Deluna page and in that investigation. I should have kept my cool through it all, but thanks for seeing I was simply frustrated. Moving forward, I was wondering if ElizabethCB123 can be permanently blocked, maybe along with her IP. She's since evaded the block, as you noticed and acted upon. I am nominating page for deletion again - the last time it was all of these now blocked socks and users that basically kept it from happening - and it would be a shame if she could just come back and do it all again (which she certainly shows a history of doing.) Thanks again!Tao2911 (talk) 18:48, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

Joe, is Deluna now showing up less than a week later using her actual name an evasion of the block? I think it should be pretty clear to all now that it was her all along. And since we can't seem to get action to get the page deleted despite an overwhelming tide for doing so, should we pursue a block on Deluna?Tao2911 (talk) 20:43, 20 August 2011 (UTC) |
Suggestion for WikiProject United States to support WikiProject Maryland
It was recently suggested that WikiProject Maryland might be inactive or semiactive and it might be beneficial to include it in the list of projects supported by WikiProject United States. I have started a discussion on the projects talk page soliciting the opinions of the members of the project if this project would be interested in being supported by WikiProject United States. Please feel free to comment on your opinions about this suggestion. --Kumioko (talk) 03:31, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

Hello JoeSperrazza. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Southern fried chicken bun, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: criterion A7 does not apply to products. Thank you. Salvio Let's talk about it! 13:49, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

I was somehow accused as being an alias of someone editing as an unregistered user here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/188.27.81.41 I had a weak password, but haven't really had issues in 3 yrs, but after this issue I immediately changed it. How exactly did that IP become connected to me? Running reverse DNS, it's not even in the same continent as I am. Cantaloupe2 (talk) 21:29, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

Joe, thank you for your message and extremely helpful information about editing Wikipedia pages. As a new Wikipedia user, I valued the information and guidelines you shared. As you’re likely aware, I have made edits to the entries for carfilzomib and sorafenib on behalf of my client, Onyx Pharmaceuticals. The changes are referenced and are designed to provide updates about the two medications, including recent clinical trial updates for carfilzomib. If there is anything you find inaccurate about the changes, please do let me know. Onyx is committed to ensuring appropriate, updated content about its medicines is available on Wikipedia. Hi Joe, I am looking to submit a new Wikipedia page about Onyx Pharmaceuticals as a company. There currently is not an existing page with basic information about when the company was founded, where it is located, products it develops or researches and its leadership. I am wondering if you might offer some advice on the best place to submit the page for reviewers' consideration. Is it on the discussion tab of my talk page, or as a new section? Alternatively, should I submit for review as a talk page under Onyx Pharmaceuticals? I would appeciate any insights you could share so I can ensure to allow for a conversation about this page and follow appropriate protocols. Thank you. Denver Mountain Parks etc.
Buaidh referred me to you in hopes you can guide me a bit on some editing. As I told him (?) I've been attempting to do some cleanup on pages (e.g., Dedisse Park and Bergen Park) and discovered Denver was credited with Elk Meadow Park, so fixed that. That latter page needs work! They all do-- but Elk Meadow was so different I almost didn't know how to start! Is there a good pattern/model/template that should be followed for pages like these? (Parks, communities?)
I'm trying to get back in to editing, but am not up on the gadgets. Or the lingo. I joined WP:Colorado, and would like to focus on content for parks and history, but may need some backup or cleanup until I get up to speed. Buaidh says you need a page on Jefferson County Open Space, and maybe I can get to that sometime. If you could take a look at the Elk Meadow piece and jump in or give me suggestions, it'd be appreciated.
Also, is anyone else working on Jeffco history-- could that be a subproject or task force? Just a thought... I'm off to add a history section to Indian Hills. Another thought: how about a page listing CCC projects in Colorado?
Thanks!! Araucana (talk) 18:49, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
