But the article has been reviewed by, I think 2 administrators and a bot. Why didn't they tell me this? Or don't they know about Wikipedia rules? Willybeez (talk) 17:57, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

When these articles get reviewed they're not looking to see if they're notable. They're making sure some robot didn't make a spam page for a website or someone thought it'd be funny to make an article full of obscene words. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 17:01, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

But from what you asked me to read on notability, wikipedia makes exceptions. Like her being the first black girl to win it in its 33-year history is a good exception. Willybeez (talk) 18:27, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

You'd need to find many reliable sources both confirming that fact and establishing how it's significant enough to warrant her own article. Miss Teen USA in general is one of the least notable of the notable American pageants which would make it even harder to prove notability. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 17:40, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

Disruptive editing on Serbian article

Jjj, any chance you could be so kind as to add Serbia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest to your watchlist? So far in the last 2 weeks, 4 IP's and 1 user have added very large chunk of content that is unsourced, poorly written, and excessive in statistical data, like the ones made in this edit. The additions do not comply with manual of style guidelines, nor layout guidelines that Project Eurovision are currently following. Also all of the Junior Country articles are under-going a major "facelift" and being brought up to a high standard. Feel free to have a look at the ones I've managed to restructure so far, Albania, Belarus, and Israel. Serbia and Montenegro.was a unique one as they have only taken part once and never again as a joint-nation, so I worked on that as if it were a country and a country by year article. Also there is now an article dedicated to the Kids Jury, seeing as they are becoming notable in their own right for the contest. And the article is being treated as if the jury were a country, even though they are not. Anyway, thanks for your assistance in keeping an eye on the Serbia article, and if you do spot any vandalism, then please revert the user/IP and issue them with a harsh warning if required, because they are clearly not listening to the softer warnings. Wes Mouse  T@lk 16:58, 31 August 2016 (UTC)

Yeah sure, no problem. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 17:10, 31 August 2016 (UTC)
Thanks, Jjj. I don't want to sound like I'm blowing my own trumpet here, but I think the article has improved quite a lot now:
Hopefully that should fend off the vandals wanting to add unsourced material. I wouldn't mind but the stuff they are trying to add would be better off on annual articles for Serbia, as the content regards national selections. I might seek advice on increasing the protection level to fully-protected now that the re-write has finished, just to prevent vandalism for a few weeks. Wes Mouse  T@lk 18:40, 31 August 2016 (UTC)

Hi

Could you please take a look at Gunnila Bernadotte. The article was redirected on basis "articles that are created after death can not be notable". I contested the deletion and a redirect discussion was put in place at Talk:Carl Johan Bernadotte. Any input is welcomed.BabbaQ (talk) 19:21, 14 September 2016 (UTC)

WikiProject Eurovision: Important Announcement

WikiProject Eurovision
Important Announcement

Dear Project Member

Following a project community discussion, which was raised over the use of English translation columns on annual contest articles, and advice from the lead coordinator of The Guild of Copy Editors, who are extremely knowledgeable in regards to all editing practises and manual of style policies. A consensus decision has been reached to fully remove ALL English translations, as such content falls under the prohibition on original research, even if it seems helpful to the reader. This is because we have now to assume that every reader has access to automated translation tools that can always give them a sense of the meaning of the title in their native language; it is not Wikipedia's job to provide those tools for the reader. Which therefore means we are no longer to include an English translation column, nor are we to provide translation by any other means on contest articles.

Such information is currently in the process of being removed, and a new table formatting and layout style is being rolled out across all articles. Please view the new guidance on table layout at Wikipedia:WikiProject Eurovision/Format and Guides#Article layout. An example of the new table layout style can also be access via the collapsed section within this message. Thank you.

Please stop being disruptive

Please stop being disruptive at Miss USA 2017. Your reasoning is in violation of WP:CRYSTAL. I have tried multiple times to initiate discussion of this at the talk page and I would love to know why you refuse to talk about it first? --- PageantUpdater (talk) 01:26, 3 November 2016 (UTC)

This is not something I've made up. This has been forced by higher level users for awhile, and a few years ago I was continually told this by them when trying to make a page for an upcoming pageant. I haven't even checked the talk page or have seen anyone edit it so please don't jump down my throat saying that I'm refusing to talk to you. I'm also not the only person who's tried to tell you we're supposed to wait until a date or venue has been confirmed. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 01:31, 3 November 2016 (UTC)

so you don't read edit summaries? Please address the issue at hand: CRYSTAL says no article unless event is notable and almost certain to take place. This meets both, so why are you reverting it like a sheep? --- PageantUpdater (talk) 01:41, 3 November 2016 (UTC)

Anahit Adamyan

I know that rule #9 says that the corresponding performer "has won first, second or third place in a major music competition". Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 is where she got second place. Before that, Anahit also participated in The Voice Kids reached the top 3 in a contest created by Igor Krutoy entitled The Battle of Talents, which unfortunately doesn't have an article just yet. Oh, and take a look at Anahit's cover of the Swedish entry from Eurovision Song Contest 2014, which was a third placer. In other words, Anahit Adamyan and Sanna Nielsen are two people that reached the Top 3 at their respective events part of the Eurovision family. One more thing: Anahit claimed to have watched Junior Eurovision for a few years![1]108.16.135.182 (talk) 20:45, 4 December 2016 (UTC)

Look at the other articles of recent JESC contests (in addition to the early ones). Placing high does not constitute notability in these shows, and neither does participating in a kids version of The Voice and especially a show without an article. Adamyan is not a notable person and does not deserve an article. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 20:48, 4 December 2016 (UTC)
To me, she actually does deserve an article. In fact, I was trying to find websites that give information of exactly when she was born, and unfortunately I couldn't find any. But, I'm very happy that all participants from the adult's Eurovision have respective articles.108.16.135.182 (talk) 01:37, 5 December 2016 (UTC)

Hi Jjjj1238,

I am new to this and may have went about it the wrong way (hands slapped) but how can I get my site talkaboutpopmusic.com to be referenced for all the Eurovision 2017 song reviews as once again this year I will be review them all and would like to have a link placed on Wikipedia.

Thanks, look forward to your response.

Steve — Preceding unsigned comment added by Steve McPherson (talkcontribs) 22:21, 20 January 2017 (UTC)

You can't sign up to be used as a source. If an editor sees your articles and thinks that they could be appropriately used to source something on Wikipedia, then they'll do so. The only way to get yourself used as a source is to expand the notability of your website so an editor has a better chance of seeing it. Sidenote, if you are running a blog then you'll never be able to get sourced though, as blogs are banned on Wikipedia. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 13:27, 21 January 2017 (UTC)
Also, the fact that you made an account could've kind of ruined your chances. Publishing you as a source could be seen as a conflict of interest now that you're technically an editor, so I'd stop editing Wikipedia altogether if I were you. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 13:29, 21 January 2017 (UTC)

Hungary in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017

Hello!

It was worth to revert my edit on this article... Hours later someone else dis the same what I did in the morning. I just wanted to say that I'm the editor-in-chief in the Hungarian version of the Wikipedia around A Dal and Eurovision Song Contest topics, and I don't want to mislead anyone, I wanted to correct and update the article. Thanks! MrSilesian (talk) 20:53, 24 January 2017 (UTC)

I was just reverting the edits to the Hungarian page because they were all unsourced and I couldn't find anything to verify the new dates. Now that Eurovision websites are reporting what the new dates are we have the go-ahead. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 22:14, 24 January 2017 (UTC)

If you are The Treatment you absolutely cannot be editing that article as it's a conflict of interest. And unfortunately, we can't just change the name without a reliable published third-party source reporting that it's the name of one of the songwriters. I'm sorry. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 01:44, 1 February 2017 (UTC)

i just want the credit i deserve for my song.

Here is a link to the national danish news with my name on it: http://www.dr.dk/event/melodigrandprix/nyheder/hoer-sangen-emmelie-de-forest-vinder-melodi-grand-prix-i

Also you can se that Em and Lawry are liking and everyone are congratulating me here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10155118657322275&set=a.429595402274.221469.529912274&type=3&theater

Will you please edit it to my name?

Do you have an email adress? I can get my publisher to contact you.

Quick note. The way to fix this perhaps is by adding the name as '(Daniel Salcedo)' after the Treatment for the moment. We need solid third party sources for each release. BMI or ASCAP that list's Salcedo as a writer of the songs would be preferable. Karst (talk) 11:44, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
  • Unfortunately, as the songwriter, you cannot edit the song article as it is a serious violation of conflict of interest which you can be sanctioned for and indefinitely blocked from further editing if you continue. Any such requests should be made on the article talk page, where an editor will happily fulfil your request and make edits on your behalf. Therefore I strongly urge that the IP refrain from making any further edits to the article, and follow correct protocol and procedure. Wes Mouse Talk 12:50, 3 February 2017 (UTC)

As you may know, SFR Yugoslavia doesn't exist anymore, the modern republic where Viti/Vitina is located is called Kosovo. This clarification is added in every Kosovar singer's page, and Lindita being also from there it needs to be clarified — Preceding unsigned comment added by Whoamiwilli (talkcontribs) 19:13, 12 February 2017 (UTC)

Yes, I understand SFR Yugoslavia doesn't exist anymore, but what you're doing is not proper formatting. The place in the birthplace section is supposed to be the location of birth at the time of birth, Kosovo was not a country then, it should not be included in the infobox. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 19:17, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
That's why it's added in small format and in brackets, I'd suggest you to check out pages like: Mother Teresa; Ardian Bujupi etc. where this same thing is used
Just because it's on other articles does not mean it's correct. Birthplace is not meant to show the current country, it's meant to show where they were born. If the reader is interested in the history of Lindita's birthplace, they can go to the respective articles and read that Viti is now in Kosovo. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 19:23, 12 February 2017 (UTC)

Now you're just making excuses

No, I'm not actually. Familiarize yourself with the rules of Wikipedia before you edit articles, it's for your own benefit so you don't end up getting yourself banned. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 19:28, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
I'd really like to see the proof "the rule" that says you can't add that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Whoamiwilli (talkcontribs) 19:31, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
Template:Infobox person: "Place of birth: city, administrative region, country. Use the name of the birthplace at the time of birth, e.g.: Saigon (prior to 1976), Ho Chi Minh City (post 1976). Do not use a flag template. Per WP:INFOBOXPURPOSE, it is preferred to omit unnecessary or redundant info. For example, it is not necessary to state: "New York City, New York, United States" when "New York City, U.S." carries exactly the same information for far fewer characters. Countries should generally not be linked per WP:OVERLINK." { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 19:34, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
"For example, it is not necessary to state: "New York City, New York, United States" when "New York City, U.S." carries exactly the same information for far fewer characters." - you. "birth_place = Seattle, Washington, US" - taken from this article -_-
I don't know what you're talking about, but you can omit New York when talking about NYC because NYC is obviously in New York. Seattle is not obviously in Washington unless you have a familiarity with American geography. These are Wikipedia rules, fighting with me over them is gonna do you no good. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 19:44, 12 February 2017 (UTC)

Brielle LaCosta

We politely ask that you refrain from editing this article and additionally, are curious as to why you would suggest and nominate this page for deletion? She is a three time pageant winner and one of the most well known advocates for Autism. She was honored by New Jersey. What is the issue with the article that would cause you to flag it?

Judging by your message it seems that you have a close connection with the subject and that you are not a neutral editor, which is strictly forbidden. Also, LaCosta does not seem to pass our general notability guidelines in my opinion. The article is also poorly sourced. However, it is not up to me if it gets deleted or not, that'll be up to the deletion negotiations, I solely nominated it. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 16:52, 23 February 2017 (UTC)

I follow all of the local pageants in the state of New Jersey, it's awfully rude to automatically assume I am "affiliated" with her. If YOU did your research you would see the pageant is run by people in Pennsylania and I reside in NJ. My son has Autism and Ms. LaCosta has led the fight in great things for those with Autism in New Jersey. I'm sorry if you have no affiliation to Autism but for those of us who fight for rights, her work means a lot. I don't know your definition of "notable," but anyone who has been awarded by the state for selfless work and was an international spokesperson seems pretty notable to me. Additionally, the things I have corrected and cited were from PUBLIC articles I found about her. Not once did I give an "opinion," and everything cited is FACT, what isn't neutral? Please explain how it is "poorly sourced" when every single thing has a link to a public article or site. In that regard, I followed the guidelines. It's a real shame you pick on selfless role models who do good work for our community. Shame on you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Contezza1 (talkcontribs) 23:08, 23 February 2017 (UTC)

I'm sorry if I offended you in any way, but this is literally just what I'm supposed to do. I find articles that look like they may be in need for a deletion discussion, and then I nominate them. I don't know why you're taking this so personally. You're acting like if her Wikipedia article gets deleted then she'll no longer exist. I don't know who LaCosta is but from what you've said she seems like a great person, but being a great person doesn't automatically get you a Wikipedia page. We'll discuss whether she can get an article, and if we decide that she doesn't then I hope you can respect the decision. Also, many articles get nominated every day by many different editors, please don't attack me for what I'm supposed to be doing. It's kinda rude. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 02:27, 24 February 2017 (UTC)

No, not everything was sourced. Sources in other languages are allowed, but it's preferred to have English-language sources on the English Wikipedia. I deleted most of the stuff because it was unencyclopedic, but many things weren't sourced anyways. For example, you can't have a gallery of album covers on an artist page, as those non-free images belong solely on the album pages. While some things may be acceptable on other language Wikipedias, they are not always acceptable on English Wikipedia. I hope this helps. 11:10, 6 March 2017 (UTC)
Ok, but it is really hard to learn what is unencyclopedic if just all gets deleted :) I checked other bands like Muse and Fall out boy and tried to write something similar with information that I had, stating only specific facts, like who did what and when. If you can give any more pointers, I would prefer reediting that material to meet the encyclopedic standards. About the images, resolving it separately, I got permission from authors to publish them under commons, and stated that in description, but they still were deleted. 12:12, 6 March 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ar2rsawseen (talkcontribs)

We've just muck up the AfD for Fernando Daniel. Both you and I nominated at the exact same time, and it has now created a messy problem of 2 nominations - whoops! Although saying that, my nomination pointed out the fact WP:GNG and WP:MUSICBIO hasn't been met. The rationale you gave did not link to any policies, which we're suppose to do when nominating. Kara

I was just going to ask you for advice. I have reverted the edits of editor Kakan88 at Jasmine Kara. She claimed to be Jasmine Kara, I then contacted Jasmine Kara on her social media and she confirmed that it is the singer that contacted me here. I am just trying to decide what to do, she wants to make some quite extensive edits to her own article, but I am not sure if is in the best interest to have singers editing their own articles. She does not seem to grasp how to edit either.--BabbaQ (talk) 08:04, 4 April 2017 (UTC)

That is probably the most obvious example of a conflict of interest. She can be blocked if she continues doing this. I'll add a COI template to the page but I'm just leaving right now and won't be able to do anything else, so I recommend contacting Wesley to see what he can do as he helped me out the last time I was in a situation like this. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 10:24, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
Thanks, Jjj. This is a clear COI. I've tagged the talk page too and will issue a warning on her user talk page. @BabbaQ: any chance you could translate the warning into Swedish, once I've issued it? Wes Wolf Talk 21:03, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
For sure. I can do that. Thanks for your assistance.--BabbaQ (talk) 21:15, 4 April 2017 (UTC)

Hi

User:Cyberpower678/IABot Management Interface/JSON to translate is where I placed the language file for the en language. If you and maybe some of your friends could translate this, I would greatly appreciate it. It's quite simple. Don't touch the keys, left-hand side, and only translate the values, right hand side. If you bork the JSON syntax somehow, it will not let you save so, it should be easy to spot what was borked.

  • I simply copied Cyberpower678s message to me. I have tried to translate as many as I can. If you find time for it could you take a look. i think Cyberpower would really appreciate it as he is trying to complete work on a bot that will archive dead links on SvWiki.--BabbaQ (talk) 21:12, 5 April 2017 (UTC)

Jjj, why are you having a go at me in this edit summary? I never even removed the content. Just be careful with the tone, and only aim it at people in general if and whn you know the culprit who is to blame. Wes Wolf Talk 13:11, 18 April 2017 (UTC)

There was no intentional attitude so sorry if it came off that way. But you did remove the content (it was like over a year ago though). I was wondering what happened to the OGAE Song Contest section so I started looking through old revisions and saw that you removed it because it wasn't a Eurovision-based contest, and that's what I reverted. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 18:39, 18 April 2017 (UTC)

Music genres

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, Jjj, but after seeing this edit summary, I regret to inform you that you are incorrect. Ballad is a genre of music - see List of styles of music: A–F#B, which lists "ballad" as a genre. Wes Wolf Talk 00:08, 14 May 2017 (UTC)

Those are styles of music, not genres. Ballad is so vague, and literally any genre of song can be a ballad. It's extremely misleading. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 00:13, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
They are genres, Jjj. Look at the navbox at the top of the list article. Unless I am blind and unable to read words these days, it clearly uses the term "genres" at the top of the list page. Wes Wolf Talk 00:18, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
  • Just to further clarify on what I am trying to address here. I'm not disputing your change, as the genres as they stand on the song article are correct. It is just that you stated in the revert that a ballad isn't a genre, when it is. That was all I was correcting you on, and not the revert you made. Wes Wolf Talk 00:26, 14 May 2017 (UTC)

Eurovision 2018 content

I have noticed an edit war going on at Eurovision Song Contest 2018 between yourself and User:So Hood. As you are now an experienced editor, you should be well aware now of edit warring, and more importantly avoiding the 3-revert rule. The edit war between yourself and another user in regards to the Slovenian content has already reached 2-reverts each, which is a clear sign of edit warring and can lead to either or both user's being blocked temporarily. So take this as a head's up warning. If you find yourself in a content dispute, make sure you follow bold, revert, discuss procedures, and avoid edit wars and 3RR violations. I've suggested that So Hood opens dialogue at Talk:Eurovision Song Contest 2018 and invites yourself along to engage in discussions over the content. Regards. Wes Wolf Talk 20:53, 30 May 2017 (UTC)

Eurovision 2018 content

First of all I didn't see my changes as an edit war on Eurovision Song Contest 2018 between us. So I'm gonna explain the recent edits: About Czech Republic: There are discussions going on about a participation in the future. If we took this as a source for next year, we could already use it as a source for the next 20 years which doesn't make any sense. Also: Eurovoix, the source itself published this article on 16th May. Just yesterday (30th June), when this source confirmed the Swiss participation, it did NOT include the Czech Republic in the list of confirmed countries which means there were no particular talks about the 2018 contest. About Ireland: A Eurovision commentator who tells a newspaper about things that might be discussed by the broadcaster or not should not be taken as an "official source", that's why Ireland got removed also and that's also why relatable sources like Eurovoix don't mention Ireland in the list. As much as I also like to have as many countries as possible in the list for 2018 already, Wikipedia should not be used as a playground to spread false or unconfirmed information. Thank you. So Hood (talk) 10:47, 01 July 2017 (UTC)

Okay, but years ago when we changed the heading to provisional interest, we began not requiring an "official confirmation" from countries, and it became a place to jot down the countries who just showed interest in participating. Eurovoix's list is for officially confirmed countries, ours is not. It's for interested countries. That's why I added Czech Republic and Ireland back. The Czech Republic's source also particularly makes me think it should stay as it's pretty much a confirmation to me. They're saying that they're planning on becoming a regular participant in the competition regardless of ratings, how is that not a confirmation anyways? { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 15:28, 1 July 2017 (UTC)

In all honesty I don't even edit that page often, it's only on my watchlist because I'm interested in the movie. I saw your edit and reverted it just because you edited without gaining a consensus. I don't have too strong an opinion on the matter, but if I picked a side I'd want to keep it because although the sightings had nothing to do with the movie, the media reported it as such and that was a general opinion for awhile, so there is still a connection. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 04:45, 8 September 2017 (UTC)

Deletion discussion about Anton Hagman

Hello, Jjj1238,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Anton Hagman should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anton Hagman .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

The fact was ... that Cara Mund is the first contestant from North Dakota to win the Miss America pageant? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Cara Mund. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Cara Mund), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Zayn Malik, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you.

Hi @AusLondonder: As a third party, I would agree with Jjj1238 that the edit was indeed a minor edit. Even if it weren't, it would have been borderline enough to be hardly worth dropping a user template. Given that Jjj1238 is an experienced user, if she displays consistent signs of misusing the minor edit check box, then it is fine to drop a user warning template, but scanning through her contributions, I'm pretty sure she's generally consistent with protocol. — Tuxipεdia(talk) 22:25, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

About Miss Bolivia 2017 height.

I completely disagree with you taking my edits as challenging or conflicting and much less allowing me to threaten to report me. If you think that I am not proceeding correctly, let me know, but do not threaten me.

I feel completely offended and unrespected.

I will change the height of Miss Bolivia again, because it's clear that Miss Universe page info it's wrong.

Best regards! --Alex Duilius (talk) 08:11, 7 November 2017 (UTC)

@Alex Duilius: Listen, I threatened you because you weren't listening to what I'm saying. I am a prominent editor at WP:Eurovision as well, and we had issues like this there too. Sources conflicted between individual third-party websites and the official Eurovision website, and decided that the official website should reign supreme. This is no different here. You claiming that Miss Bolivia being 6'4 is incorrect has no substance. Is it because you personally don't think she looks 6'4? Well that's original research. Is it because you see another source that lists here as 5'8? Well that's directly violating the idea that the official websites should trump smaller unaffiliated websites. Do you understand how many times I've read at third-party websites that a certain state titleholder for Miss USA would go on to compete at Miss America? Third-party websites, especially those that don't have much of a reputation, can be wrong, and often are wrong. If you keep readding her height as 5'8 I will continue giving you warnings and eventually have to report you. Neither of us want that, so if you're so adamant on changing the height, then take it to the talk page, like a normal Wikipedia editor. We can discuss it further there. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 12:23, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
Greetings! I understand your point, but I insist: We should to have CRITERIA and LOGIC: 1: if Miss Bolivia height were 6'4, she would be a world news, not only for been the tallest Miss Bolivia, whe would the tallest Miss Universe contestant ever!!!!, and... that's doesn't happened. 2: Miss Universe contestants profiles aren't finished, then, some data are wrong, It could be the case of Miss Bolivia profile? 3: The height of Miss Bolivia is not based on my perception, I use another sources for support the data, another sources they must be discarded automatically? We must surrender to an official site? Where is our instinct and logic as wikipedist? 4: Can you see this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_xbxn0h2Tc really, she seems to you 6'4? then... How tall is Miss Bolivia World, 6'7, 6'8? PLEASE, have an open mind. --Alex Duilius (talk) 16:11, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
@Alex Duilius: Here's the thing. We cannot simply assume that there will be articles about something and use that as a basis for a fact being incorrect. That's not how Wikipedia works. Yes, it is true that the Miss Universe profiles are unfinished. However, none of these stats are set in stone. If the website changes her height, then we can change it here too. It's not that difficult. However, we also can't simply assume information is wrong purely because the profiles are unfinished. As for your third point, I'll go back to what I said earlier (and the editor's note I added to the article): MUO is the most supreme source for Miss Universe articles. This is similar to the how the United States Constitution is the supreme law of the United States. MUO has all the information on each contestant, and there's no way to simply assume their information is wrong. They are much more likely to have correct statistics on contestants than a third-party source. This is what was done for Big Brother and Eurovision Song Contest in the past, it's just protocol. I'd like to ask you to please keep things the way they are now, and if new information begins appearing then I'd be happy to change things back. It's just we can't be making our own rules. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 18:22, 7 November 2017 (UTC)

Hi

I have expanded the article about Rikard Wolff. A very well known Swedish singer who sadly died today. Could you please take a look at that article. Cheers.BabbaQ (talk) 14:44, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

Hi! Thanks for your contributions! I want to ask something for my guidance, hope you help. In this edit, you linked Femina Miss India 2017 and Miss World 2017 in the infobox, which I removed earlier as these are already linked in the infobox above. I don't know much, but I thought it might be violating WP:LINKCRISIS; it states, "usually more than one link for the same term in the same paragraph,… one or more duplicate links will almost certainly then appear needlessly…" Please check and guide, I am confused. Thanks! M. Billoo 05:57, 24 November 2017 (UTC)

I mostly undid it because of the formatting. It is standard practice to link pageants as follows:

Miss USA 2016
(Winner)
Miss Universe 2016
(Winner)

Rather than what you did:

  • Winner:
    • Miss USA 2016
    • Miss Universe 2016

As for the linking, I've never really thought about it, as this is how pretty much every pageant titleholder's article goes. It probably does violate WP:LINKCRISIS, so maybe we should get to work on changing that. However, the formatting should remain the same, just with less links. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 14:25, 24 November 2017 (UTC)
