I've added a fair use rationale for the poster image, though as I don't do that sort of thing very often I don't know how much detail is required. Oldelpaso 21:26, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:Morganstate.gif)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Morganstate.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. fuzzy510 03:05, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
July 2007 GAC backlog elimination drive
[edit]A new elimination drive of the backlog at Wikipedia:Good article candidates will take place from the month of July through August 12, 2007. There are currently about 130 articles that need to be reviewed right now. If you are interested in helping with the drive, then please visit Wikipedia:Good article candidates backlog elimination drive and record the articles that you have reviewed. Awards will be given based on the number of reviews completed. Since the potential amount of reviewers may significantly increase, please make sure to add :{{GAReview}} underneath the article you are reviewing to ensure that only one person is reviewing each article. Additionally, the GA criteria may have been modified since your last review, so look over the criteria again to help you to determine if a candidate is GA-worthy. If you have any questions about this drive or the review process, leave a message on the drive's talk page. Please help to eradicate the backlog to cut down on the waiting time for articles to be reviewed.
You have received this message either due to your membership with WikiProject: Good Articles and/or your inclusion on the Wikipedia:Good article candidates/List of reviewers. --Nehrams2020 03:45, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Greetings from WikiProject Korea!
[edit]Thank you for your recent contributions to one of Wikipedia's Korea-related articles. Given the interest you've expressed by your edits, have you considered joining WikiProject Korea? If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask at the project talk page. We look forward to working with you in the future! Wikimachine 03:32, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Good job on the article. I see where you posted a link to it on Sabre. You may want to ask there if anyone has taken any photos from games that they would be willing to contribute under the GFDL. Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission gives information on asking for copyright permission, but the short version is that the author needs to explicitly release the image under the GFDL or another acceptable license and whatever email you receive should be forwarded to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. (Simply having permission to use it on Wikipedia or having it licensed for non-commercial use is NOT enough.) --B 12:52, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- By the way, I have s-protected it due to trolling from TSL that invariably follows any time something is linked to that wasteland. If any good-faith users complain about not being able to get to it, let me know and I'll remove the protection. --B 19:53, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Addition of BCS to NCAATeamSeason template
[edit]I couldn't help but notice that you added the BCS ranking to the {{NCAATeamSeason}} template. This was addressed a year ago here and it was decided to leave it out. The reason is, is because the BCS rankings are only out from mid-October until the end of December and then are no longer applicable since there is no final BCS Poll. So, its pointless to have since its only applicable for 2.5 months of an entire article's lifespan. I don't mind it being there, but it just seems pointless since it will be removed from all articles at the conclusion of the season.↔NMajdan•talk 20:17, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
edits to CBB Schedule Entry
[edit]I noticed you made some changes to the {{CBB Schedule Entry}} template (to fix the "tv" column I think). Currently the template does not draw the game rows correctly if the game was not on TV (unless I am misunderstanding how to use the template since you made the change). Anyway, I reverted your changes, but I still think it the template should be addressed. X96lee15 (talk) 22:20, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Wake-lg.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Wake-lg.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 03:27, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Maryland-easternshore.gif
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Maryland-easternshore.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 14:13, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Operation COOKIE MONSTER
[edit]GA Sweeps invitation
[edit]Hello, I hope you are doing well. I am sending you this message since you are listed as a GA reviewer. I would like to invite you to consider helping with the GA sweeps process. Sweeps helps to ensure that the oldest GAs still meet the criteria, and improve the quality of GAs overall. Unfortunately, last month only two articles were reviewed. This is definitely a low point after our peak at the beginning of the process when 163 articles were reviewed in September 2007. After nearly two years, the running total has just passed the 50% mark. In order to expediate the reviewing, several changes have been made to the process. A new worklist has been created, detailing which articles are left to review. All exempt and previously reviewed articles have already been removed from the list. Instead of reviewing by topic, you can consider picking and choosing whichever articles interest you.
We are always looking for new members to assist with the remaining articles, so if you are interested or know of anybody that can assist, please visit the GA sweeps page. In addition, for every member that reviews 100 articles or has a significant impact on the process, s/he will get an award when they reach that threshold. If only 14 editors achieve this feat starting now, we would be done with Sweeps! Of course, having more people reviewing less articles would be better for all involved, so please consider asking others to help out. Feel free to stop by and only review a few articles, something's better than nothing! Take a look at the list, and see what articles interest you. Let's work to complete Sweeps so that efforts can be fully focused on the backlog at GAN. If you have any questions about the process, reviewing, or need help with a particular article, please contact me or OhanaUnited and we'll be happy to help. --Happy editing! Template:CBB Schedule Entry
[edit]Is there a way to add optional columns for high scorer, rebounder and assists? I would like next season to be able to have the same information as I use at 2008–09_Michigan_Wolverines_men's_basketball_team#Schedule.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 05:41, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
- Two questions. 1.) What if there is a tie (see game 20 in my example above). 2.) Why all leaders in one column?--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 16:34, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
- 1.) Matching the numbers with the players will be confusing. 2.) I don't think it is going to look right with them all in the same column. Maybe you could make the font size variable so I can use the size like my example above. Your example looks O.K., but think about how my example layout will look when I put the parenthesis for the ordinal number designation after the name for the number of times the person has led the team. In my example above, you can scan down and see how many times a player has led the team in a stat pretty easily.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 14:20, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
Errors:
- Homecoming unexplained
- Attend not in blank section
- fixed this one myself.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 05:00, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
- Cellspacing not working at 2009–10_Michigan_Wolverines_men's_basketball_team#Schedule.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 04:55, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
- I have tried to enter test content in attend and record fields and they showed up in the wrong columns.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 05:15, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:WikiProject University of Virginia
[edit]A tag has been placed on Template:WikiProject University of Virginia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.
If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
