Richard Belliveau moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Richard Belliveau, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion nomination of Cynthia Pinot
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Cynthia Pinot, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Your submission at Articles for creation: Cynthia Pinot (September 5)
[edit]- Hi I appreciate the input.
- question: the intent is not to be promotion. This person has had great traction in the artworld in a short amount of time, I believe that in itself is very noteworthy. There are people that have done less, and have pages, And I ask, with all due respect to all that reviewed article. Should I rewrite and submit a fresh article if this person has more accomplishments. I am stimulated by both the art field, all thing native american, and technology. There are so many new fresh stories, people, and events that I believe should be noted, Please advise. JanaFerrume (talk) 21:58, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Jana, can you please read through WP:PAID and WP:COI and confirm that you do not have any form of COI here? There seems to be a very active PR person churning out press releases for this subject, which is going to make it difficult to actually establish notability. It's more of a problem when you use PR terms like "starring" for roles that very clearly were not major in any way - uncredited at that. Much of the language in the art sections also appears to be slightly re-worded PR. Sam Kuru (talk) 22:53, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi thank you for all the notes. No COI here other than, I found subject interesting, and wanted to better an abandoned article. I agree with you, once you pointed out, the "sensationalism" in wording does sound pr-ish. I am trying to navigate between what is a good source, and a source that states, an award, show, credit ect.
- I need to remove some of these references then.
- Thank you for taking the time and giving me great notes, they are greatly appreciated.
- I will redirect- JanaFerrume (talk) 03:23, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
- Kuru, hi, I deleted a few notes on article on subject. While I wanted to keep a section for "acting", I found that it was a small note in subjects career, but not really worthy of a dedicated section for "acting." If you are able, to kindly review, and advise, if I'm headed In the right direction. Question, I did find a few images of subjects art that might be noteworthy, and was not sure if I should try to add to article at this stage. Is it better to wait until the article is better presented. Thank you again for all your help. :) JanaFerrume (talk) 18:54, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
