Cynthia Pinot is a multimedia and AI artist, of Latin and Native American ancestry[1] who is best known for her work that bridges technology and contemporary art.[2][3]

Career

As an actress, Pinot has appeared in various films and television shows throughout 2000-2014. Some of her roles include Pink Zone[4][5],Rush Hour 2.[6]. In 2006, Pinot the role of played Maria, in the film entitled Jornada Al Norte.[7] This film featured in several film festivals like the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival, and LA Film Festival.

Pinot's artistic signature is 'The Quantum Muse'.[8] She has stated she is inspired by the Dutch masters and pointillism artists from the 1800's comic book era, Cynthia is currently blending traditional photography and illustrations, involving neural networks, code, and algorithms, and synthography. In the early 2015, Cynthia Pinot made a career shift from acting to visual and multimedia art digital media, combining photography, traditional art techniques with emerging technologies like synthography, augmented reality, and interactive installations.[9]

Her works include a piece titled: "Iipoaa't", which is titled in Siksikáí’powahsin (commonly referred to as the Blackfoot language.[10] Translation: "I Stand Up, We Still Stand." [11] a piece presented in during the Biennale Di Arte in Italy in 2024, where the theme selected was "Foreigners Everywhere." [12] A multimedia mix of photography , illustration and digital algorithm, that touched on the narrative of Colonization in Native America. Another project, "Pulchra Imago - Queen Of Scot", explores the theme of human-machine symbiosis through mathematical algorithm and stoic photography in Switzerland 2023.[13]

Pinot's work has also been featured in multiple international press outlets including cover and story Opum Magazine, in Hamburg Germany.[2]

Her work often explores themes of identity, native American history, and the intersection of human and emotional landscape.
