A barnstar for you!
The Teamwork Barnstar | ||
Awarded to Dyddi, Jamesmcardle, Philg88 and W.carter for their precious contributions to make Sydney punchbowls a good article. It was a pleasure and an enriching experience working with you, directly or indirectly, at the GA review. Good luck for the future, we need more successful collabs like this here! Your signature and pings
Hello again! It's been quite an experience and it's nice that it came to a very happy ending. :) Slight problem though, there is something fishy going on with your signature. None of the 'pings' you have sent me has resulted in an actual alert, I have always noticed your messages just because I've had that page on my watchlist. I think it has to do with your signature not turning blue when you sign. I've seen that problem before with some editor's signature. I think it has to do with what device you edit on since I'm sure you use the four ~~~~ like the rest of us. Or do you click on the "Signature and timestamp"-icon in the editing window? For a ping to be made you must also write the code for the recipient and sign during the same "save", otherwise the system don't execute it. This so that no unnecessary 'pings' are made when people copy and move texts around on talkpages. I only bring this up since I'm convinced you want the thing to work for cooperating with other editors. Best, w.carter-Talk 12:35, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
- It may be because James has the "Treat this as wiki-markup" box unchecked in his Preferences. Check it and see if your signature turns blue. Sainsf (talk · contribs) 12:40, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
- Aha! Thanks for providing a possible explanation. BTW, when are you, Sainsf, going to run for admin? I mean, so I can !vote for you. :) w.carter-Talk 12:54, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
- You're too kind! But sorry dude, I am too bad for RfA just now, will think of this many years later (if I do at all). RfA is not just about being a good reviewer or content editor, you need to have gone into the endless labyrinths of Wikipedia policies and demonstrated how well you understand them. Me, I am having trouble memorizing even the MOS and I have to be reminded by folks of all the bloopers I make! I am a happy YoungAdult right now, and would love to be so as long as I can. Hello again! :) I saw that you have requested a Peer Review, nice! It will be interesting to see what might come of it. Also, be careful when you used the DAB solver sometimes although rarely, like in this case, a DAB is actually intentional. I've added a "hidden" comment about this in the text so that other editors don't make the same mistake. w.carter-Talk 10:55, 12 June 2016 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Trompf Bondi.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Trompf Bondi.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 06:06, 25 July 2016 (UTC)
Your signature needs finalising... ;-))
Dear James,
I hope you are keeping well?
I just noticed that the name portion of your signature is still not displayed in blue, which means that it's still not linking to your user page. If you wanted your signature to work as designed, then simply copy the following text string (exactly as shown) into the Signature: field in your Preferences page, making sure to replace whatever text is in there already; note that it also allows your talk page to be included in your signature, as superscripted text (like mine, shown below):
- Jamesmcardle(talk)
- Jamesmcardle(talk)
Please let me know how you get on, and best wishes of success.
With kind regards for now;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 16:41, 31 July 2016 (UTC)
- Yay! Well done, James, and Happy editing! Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 09:21, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

New Challenge for Oceania and Australia
Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Oceania/The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Australia/The 5000 Challenge are up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. The Australia challenge would feed into the wider region one and potentially New Zealand could have a smaller challenge too. The main goal is content improvement, tackling stale old stubs and important content and improving sourcing/making more consistent but new articles are also welcome if sourced. I understand that this is a big goal for regular editors, especially being summertime where you are, but if you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Oceania and Australia like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1700 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for the region but fuelled by a series of contests to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. The Africa contest scaled worldwide would naturally provide great benefits to Oceania countries, particularly Australia and attract new editors. I would like some support from existing editors here to get the Challenges off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile and potentially bring about hundreds of improvements in a few weeks through a contest! Cheers.♦ --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:12, 24 November 2016 (UTC)
Your addition here was removed as being too technical. Makes sense to me, but it should be written in layman's terms. The information does seem to be of importance. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 09:40, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them). WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a built-in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN. We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Cover of the book Belleville - Ménilmontant by Wili Ronis.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Cover of the book Belleville - Ménilmontant by Wili Ronis.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Finnusertop (talk ⋅ contribs) 17:32, 21 December 2017 (UTC)
