Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Buck Run (Little Muncy Creek), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Pipeline. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

FLC review request

I'll try to find some time to review the list, but unfortunately I can't make any promises. This is my busy season in real life, and I have a couple other outstanding reviews that I have to return to soon. It may be a little while before I can get to your list. Giants2008 (Talk) 02:08, 23 March 2016 (UTC)

That's fine. Thanks for considering it anyway. --Jakob (talk) aka Jakec 10:05, 23 March 2016 (UTC)

Hai, I have put this for FLC. Can you spare some time to take a look at it.--Inside the Valley (talk) 12:37, 26 March 2016 (UTC)

@Inside the Valley: I'll review it if you can take time to review Wikipedia:Featured_list_candidates/List_of_tributaries_of_Mahanoy_Creek/archive1, which has been in the queue for over two months and hasn't yet gotten quite enough feedback. --Jakob (talk) aka Jakec 13:46, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
I'm really sorry. I am not qualified for that. Best wishes for your FLC. --Inside the Valley (talk) 14:06, 27 March 2016 (UTC)

Hi. I don't agree with you about this one. The guidelines say that "usernames are acceptable if they contain a company or group name but are clearly intended to denote an individual person, such as "Mark at WidgetsUSA"". This does not fall into that category as it is not "clearly intended" to denote an individual. Deb (talk) 18:46, 28 March 2016 (UTC)

Also, having looked at your message on the user's talk page, I see that you told her to "try to make sure to use a very neutral and factual tone, as if you were simply a third-party person trying to inform people about this company". In my opinion, you should have been telling her not to edit the article instead of encouraging her to try to deceive readers into thinking she does not have a conflict of interest. Deb (talk) 18:54, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
Hi, sorry I forgot to respond for so long. I do still maintain that the block was stale, and that even if it hadn't been, it was something of an edge case. In such cases, I believe blocks should only be used if discussion fails, and no attempt was made at discussion here. Beyond that, it's entirely possible for COI editors to create acceptable articles, and if the topic is notable, then this will improve Wikipedia, thus I think it should be encouraged. --Jakob (talk) aka Jakec 19:35, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
