Barnstar for you
The Good Article Barnstar
Hey Jaguar, I don't think I do it enough, so I'd like to express my appreciation for all of your reviews over the last year+. I really enjoy receiving your feedback—it's a big part of what keeps me writing for WP. czar ⨹ 20:27, 17 March 2015 (UTC) |
- Thank you czar! It's fine really; I specifically enjoy the high quality of your GANs compared to some other reviews, and it really makes my job reviewing them much easier. Please keep up the good work, and if you wish I can keep reviewing some ☯ JAGUAR ☯ 20:19, 18 March 2015 (UTC)

Need a hand with anything?
Dropped by your user page today and saw your grieving disclaimer. Sorry to see you are going through a difficult period and may no longer edit here. Just in case you log in to see this message, is there anything I can do for you on wikipedia in your absence? Like are there any open reviews you would like me to take over (or is there one particular article you've worked on/were going to work on that you'd like me to adopt and nominate for you) or anything you would like me to keep an eye on etc? Let me know if there is, but don't feel obligated to give me any reply if there isn't. Freikorp (talk) 11:35, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

- Yeah, I've also just noticed. I'm sorry for your loss, and please don't hesitate to ask us for any assistance you need if you do decide to return. Tezero (talk) 06:30, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
Thank you for the assurances everyone. I don't know if I can return anymore, I keep changing my mind and I'm going through too much as it is. A part of me died two weeks ago and I can't think about Wikipedia at the moment. Oh, by the way, somebody is impersonating me. User:Jaguar696969 (and an IP) is going through my closest to heart articles and I got no idea why somebody has done that. Anyway, thanks for the messages, it means so much. I might return some point in the forseeable future when things have calmed down and people could stop playing with my mind while I'm gone. ☠ JAGUAR ☠ 18:31, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
- Wishing you a speedy recovery and a healthy return to Wiki soon. Well, only if you don't mind, share the pain. Who was the one you lost? Of course it is optional, you need not tell that to me or anyone else. I've asked it because it made you retire, not take a wikibreak of sorts! Pavanjandhyala (talk) 15:06, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks Pavanjandhyala, it's been over two weeks and by a coincidence I've decided to return here (though my editing will be more irregular and I may drop out from time to time). Yes I lost somebody very close to me and these two weeks have been a nightmare I just want to wake up from. I've been depressed before but I've never been through anything that bad. I'm going to seek consular assistance soon and partially the reason why I've returned is to help take my mind off things for the mean time. I had to retire as I thought I wasn't coming back, but after encouragement from a few people I think editing here will take my mind of things. ☠ JAGUAR ☠ 15:25, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

Banjo-Tooie
Hi Jaguar, I just want to let you know that the Banjo-Tooie article has always been in my watchlist and I am constantly watching you edits. So far, I can say that almost all of your edits to the article have been disruptive. Also, I had to update the rationale of the new image you added to the gameplay section because it was not very good. Everybody is welcome to edit any article in Wikipedia and I appreciate your interest, but please, avoid making obvious flaws and double-check your edits with care. Thank you. --Niwi3 (talk) 16:48, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
- Niwi3 I appreciate you fixing my mistakes (the Lozenge and Hampshire thing was a copy and paste mistake I made and I didn't mean to duplicate the GameSpot reference) and with all due respect I am trying to push this to GA, your edits over the past four days have all consisted of reverting and patronising me? I didn't know that improving an article to GA status was disruptive, so I must be an idiot. But on a more serious note thank you for updating the rationale of the lower resolution image, it's all getting closer to meeting the GA criteria ☠ JAGUAR ☠ 16:56, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
- Just because you nominated the article for GA status it does not necessarily mean that your edits are constructive. As far as I know, you have not added anything substantial to the article, yet you still decided to nominate it without consulting regular editors of the article. And no, I don't have anything against you and I don't think you are "an idiot" like you suggest (if you think that is what I am implying). I repeat, everybody is welcome to edit any article and I appreciate your interest, but for the past days I've been constantly fixing your edits. I'm only asking you to be a bit more careful so that other editors don't have to fix obvious issues. That's all. Thank you for your understanding. --Niwi3 (talk) 17:49, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

Game Notability Discussion
Hello. From your experience, review and edit history of video game articles I would like to get your objective, neutral and unbiased opinion about this article which is nominated to be deleted Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/MonsterMMORPG_(2nd_nomination). Feel free to check references it has: Talk:MonsterMMORPG (a little bit scroll down). Article were also created as a draft, then accepted by an editor. I believe that Wikipedia is an ocean of knowledge so we should add as many as possible information, of course based on solid references, and I believe that is what you do. I believe that we should equally treat every article on Wikipedia and give articles chance to get expanded and grow and show respect to the article authors. Thank you very much for reading. talk 15:20, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Vampirelord1985, I'm not aware of that discussion so I'll take some time to read through it and search for any secondary sources if possible. I notice that the discussion is leaning towards a delete, so if you want to save it from being deleting I think now is the perfect time to find some sources that would pass WP:VG/RS. Boat Race reviews
The Running Man Barnstar
Hey Jaguar, just a quick barnstar to say thanks for the many reviews of Boat Race articles you've conducted over the past year. As of this morning, I completed my (initial) goal of ensuing that every Boat Race had, not only its own article, but one that was either of GA or FA status: we now have 158 GAs and 3 FAs that we can all be proud of! It doesn't stop here, for me at least, I'm going to keep up with improving the quality of the GAs and look for more FA opportunities. Plus, there's the small matter of 70 Women's Boat Race articles to get up and running! But thanks again, I couldn't have done it without your help. Psygnosis Move
Hey,
In case you have not seen yet, I reverted your move to SCE Liverpool. Let me apologize for the overly snarky edit summary, which was definately uncalled for; there has been a lot of drama on that article in the past (see the talk page), so I admit I had an inappropriate knee-jerk reaction. Anyway, the article was called SCE Liverpool until the studio was closed, then a move proposal was made to send it back to Psygnosis, which passed with unanimous (though incredibly limited) support due to common name principles and the like. If the community of editors wants to move it again, I really don't have that strong an opinion, but there really should be another move proposal rather than bold, unilateral action. Indrian (talk) 22:01, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
- It's okay Indrian, I was initially puzzled why the article was named after the studio's pre-1999 name, but I was careless not to check previous discussions even if my move had been in good faith. I too don't have a strong opinion and I don't mind if it stays Psygnosis (everyone prefers that name), but one could argue that SCE Cambridge Studio had its name rather than the name they had before Sony purchased them. Don't worry about the edit summary thing, it happens to the best of us. Regards ☠ JAGUAR ☠ 22:40, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

- ProtoDrake is the game actually stylized as Kingdom Hearts χ[chi]? If so per MOS:TITLE it's best to avoid jargon and use a simplified term such as Chi or χ/X/x, if you prefer. It would be best to do it especially if you plan on sending it to GA soon as readers/reviewers prefer cleaner prose ☠ JAGUAR ☠ 19:01, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
- The article has come into existence. I tried to follow your advice, but due to the way Wikipedia links work, the stylized version broke the link. So I had to go with Kingdom Hearts χ, but added in the lead that it was stylized as Kingdom Hearts χ[chi]. It's not a huge bother as long as people don't just use χ when referring to it in the text. Which shouldn't be a problem as the title is quite short. --ProtoDrake (talk) 21:20, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

For reviewing 200 Good article nominations of varying subjects till date, and reaching this number with something like New York, a place of great significance across the globe. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 02:45, 30 April 2015 (UTC) |
- One thing to admit. Your new style of signature is really unorthodox and different than your previous ones (which i noticed). Pavanjandhyala (talk) 02:48, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks Pavanjandhyala! It really means a lot. Yep I thought my 200th GAN had to be something special, so I chose New York which something on that scale is always prestigious. About my signature, yeah I removed the crosses as I thought it was too gothic (but that being said I do wear a cross earring in real life). After three years of having the same signature I just thought it was time to a change, I hope it's OK... JAGUAR 19:59, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
- But your user page mentions you as an atheist. And your new signature looks good enough. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 01:11, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah, that is a irony! And thanks, anyway I'll get to reviewing Temper now JAGUAR 10:07, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
- I've made the necessary changes you asked me to do so at the GAR. Visit the page and suggest further changes required if any. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 11:04, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
