Awesome picture but some details I should show you

[edit]

I like your idea of screenshots for Cookie Clicker, but you know in Wikipedia, screenshots too high in pixels are not good, even if screenshots are easy to produce. See WP:SCREENSHOT WP:FAIRUSE for details. Qwertyxp2000 (talk) 06:52, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Microsoft windows holographic.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Don't be shy!

[edit]

J4xh4x123, I'm "Symmachus" from the IRC help channel. Unfortunately, you had left before I could help you... But I wanted to try going the extra mile (so to speak) and see if I could help you anyway. In answer to your question, yes. The subject is indeed notable. The sources I found upon a cursory search are indeed independent reliable sources with decent coverage, and there are enough of them to establish notability. I highly encourage you to try your hand at writing this article, as it seems to more or less write itself.

And if you'd like, I'd be happy to work on it with you too, if that's alright with you. :) I could actually use the practise.

In the future, these are the guides for helping to determine notability and reliability of sources. It's more so the latter link that's important. I know the policies can be intimidating. Trust me, we're thrilled to have editors like you who want to learn, and make a positive contribution. Don't be afraid to make mistakes! And don't be afraid to ask, whether on IRC, or the Teahouse. If you're interested, there's also the Adopt a User Program, where you can be paired with an experienced editor who will help mentor you.

In all honesty, I actually learned I learned most from just hanging out in the IRC help channel. Generally, it probably would have taken me longer to assimilate all that information otherwise. Most everyone in there is friendly to the point of bending over backward to help newbies.

Hope that helps! And I hope I didn't freak you out by coming to you. I just wanted to let you know that you had a solid idea. After seeing what you wrote on your user page, I thought I'd reach out and offer to help. I used to feel the exact same way. Let me know if you'd like to take me up on my offer to collaborate. :) Quinto Simmaco (talk) 02:51, 27 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Chesscademy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited WatsUp TV, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Anglophone. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
