Tagging pages for deletion
Hello, Wgullyn,
Any time you tag a page for deletion (CSD, PROD, AFD/CFD/TFD/etc.), you must post a notice on the talk page of the page creator informing them that a page they created has been tagged for deletion. You did not do this with Jeugdbondsuitgeverij. This isn't that surprising because you are a very new editor and I'm surprised you are already tagging pages for deletion. Please be very careful with this. It is difficult to create a good article so there must be good grounds for deleting one.
I recommend you use WP:TWINKLE because once you have set up your Preferences to "Notify page creator if possible", the program will post these notices for you. If you have any questions, I encourage you to visit the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 22:29, 4 April 2021 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Tommi1986. I noticed that in this edit to NEXT for AUTISM, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Tommi1986 let's talk! 11:39, 20 April 2021 (UTC)

Hello, I'm XRENEGADEx. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to List of insurance companies in India have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Hello! I noticed when you reverted User:2402:8100:206A:2CE3:8DF9:43FF:5688:F622, you removed some of their constructive edits as well. About a recent warning you gave me
You claimed my edit was unconstructive, yet you seem to know little about the topic of Quebec politics. The 2022 referendum on electoral reform has been canceled. It will not happen. It is not relevant to the 2022 Quebec general election. As such, it needs to be removed from the page. Would you please remove my warning and reinstate my edits. Rollback granted
Hi Wgullyn. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when using rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. I’m not sure who I’m talking to but I am assuming Wgullyn is included in the discussion. This person arbitrarily deleted edits I made out of honour and respect for a friend who had passed. I posted my own content produced as a well-known researcher and climate scientist that honoured that sadly passed Gettelman’s work. It doesn’t seem to me that Wgullyn should have that latitude. Hi My edits were not promotional. I was randomly assigned to this page and was adding citations to magazine articles and also added a citation to the website of the company she worked at. While the second may not be the best place to cite something it was adding a citation to an article that before had only one. Furthermore I did it because in researching I noticed that the mission listed here for En Garde Arts is not correct. I intend to add my changes back in because I think that adding citations is objectively good and also that this having an incorrect mission listed for the company is a problem. But I will wait for a while to allow us to try to develop a consensus around that. If you can find another source for the currently unsourced mission statement that I'm saying is incorrect then I'd be fine with leaving it but otherwise I do think it should be corrected. KNY22 (talk) 02:04, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
- KNY22 Good day. What you added is considered promotion especially in the lead section as it should be about the subject. The existing lead is written in neutral point of view and it should be. Cassiopeia talk 02:24, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
- I'm confused as to why you aren't acknowledging that there were factual errors on this page that I was getting rid of. It seems like it would be good to get rid of those and then deal with a tone problem if there is indeed one with what I wrote rather than keep an unsourced inaccurate statement? Also there is only one section to this article (unless you mean paragraphs in which case I'd be happy to put things in a different paragraph). If the issue with what I wrote is with the sentences around the mission I propose "En Garde Arts creates site specific theatre experiences and includes non-arts partners in the creative process in order to foster dialogue." If you have an objection to the sentence about the awards I thought that was notable and was also including it as a way to cite the time out article which I thought was a good citation to add but I don't mind citing the article for a different reason or if you both prefer taking that out all together. However the mission is currently misstated and needs to be changed. KNY22 (talk) 02:36, 22 January 2022 (UTC)

Thankyou for nominating the article on Max Zumstein for deletion. This is going to be a huge task to sort through the articles we have on non-medaling Olympians and fiture out which ones might meet other inclusion criteria and which ones do not. Hello, Wgullyn,
You tagged this page for deletion ONE MINUTE after it was created. This is not acceptable in Draft space unless there is content that violates copyright or is a BLP violation. Please give editors much more time to develop an article before considering it for deletion, at least for drafts.
In fact, it is much more important to tag inappropriate pages for deletion in main space, where readers might see them, than in Draft space, where they won't. I would encourage you to spend your time patrolling article space rather than Draft space. Please consider that content creators can spend hours, weeks and even months developing and improving their articles and give them a break. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 02:38, 27 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Liz: I tagged that because the person creating the article is clearly the owner of the channel. Searching up the channel's name shows it only has around 50 subscribers - clearly not notable. Wgullyn (talk) 02:39, 27 January 2022 (UTC)

New section
Hello Wgullyn, You mentioned in my article to contact you directly on your talk page to discuss. Your comment was that although the topic was notable at this time, now the format was incorrect. You are correct, I manually added the logo text box. I was in help chat and several people could not help with finding the correct template for the this company. If I understand your notes, I have now done the secondary sources correctly, and am only lacking proper format of the box with business logo. If I delete the box completely, is that possible for approved submission? Get this out there and let people who have more experience edit the page? Here is the page. Thank you for your feedback. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Friendly_Folk_Records — Preceding unsigned comment added by MusicManiac1950 (talk • contribs) 11:21, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- @MusicManiac1950: I fixed some of the formatting on that page and added an infobox (I think that is what you were trying to do?) Before you resubmit the page, I would suggest removing some of the external links - most Wikipedia pages shouldn't have too many of them. Cheers! Wgullyn (talk) 13:40, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
Thank you so much for fixing the format and adding the correct infobox. I had contributed to many articles over the years as an anonymous person, just because it made me nuts if I saw incorrect information. This creating an article turned out to be a lot of work. I never realized how much work went into this process. It gave me a newfound respect for the people in the Wikipedia world. I will remove some of the external links. There were so many to choose from. Thanks for the tip, and again thank you for all your help. Neutral Style
Thanks for reviewing Martin Mooney (artist) so quickly. Do you have any pointers on what is making it feel non-neutral? I can see the Critical Reception section as being quite promotional, but is still entirely factual. All/any advice gratefully received before I go back to editing. Wagsters — Preceding undated comment added 22:58, 2 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Wagsters: for example, one line that stood out is "Mooney's still lifes in particular show the meticulous detail of 17th century Dutch masters and can take up to three years to complete." It sounds like something that would be found on their resume.
- Another thing that could be improved is the lead section. Right now it says "Originally from Northern Ireland, Martin Mooney sold his first painting aged 12, a landscape of Tranarossan Bay in Donegal". I would suggest changing this to something like "Martin Mooney is a British artist, especially known for ....." Wgullyn (talk) 23:35, 2 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Wgullyn: Thanks, that's helpful. I will change those two things and review the rest of the article in that light.

- I don't think the article is going to be accepted except if it is completely rewritten by someone else. Here are some of the things I noticed when I looked at the article:
- tons of promotional language (he is ... and much more)
- only a couple of the sources are reliable
- some facts do not have inline citations
- your name suggests you are related to the subject, which is a conflict of interest and is strongly discouraged
- you have uploaded much of the media as your "own work" -- if you do not own the copyright that is not allowed
- lots of external links that are promoting the subject's work
- Any one of these is enough for the article to be declined. Wgullyn // talk // contribs 13:05, 7 February 2022 (UTC)

- @Unlimitedmitch: firstly, almost the entire article is a copyright violation. Due to this, I've declined the draft and nominated it for speedy deletion. Please remember that plagiarism is not allowed in articles. Wgullyn // talk // contribs 20:07, 9 February 2022 (UTC)

Thanks
- @Unlimitedmitch: the article has already been deleted. For future reference, there were quite a few other errors with the article -- it was improperly formatted, the headings were not inserted correctly, and it would have needed to be completely copy edited, as there were tons of grammar mistakes. I would suggest putting the text through an online tool like Grammarly, which can fix most grammar mistakes. Something that I found useful when I started editing was looking at existing articles to see how they were formatted. Cheers, Wgullyn // talk // contribs 21:26, 9 February 2022 (UTC)

I agree the external references for this building are sparse, but it is already listed as an example of a prominent architect's work in wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Sumner_Sedgwick
Are we certain that filling out this broken link with a photo and some context is not worthwhile?
I will look for more extensive references as well.
Thanks, -m
Milesthemilos (talk) 20:11, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Milesthemilos: it doesn't seem like the building is very notable. If it were on the National Register of Historic Places, like the rest of that architect's buildings with articles, then it would be notable. Unless you can find some more reliable sources for the draft, I don't think it'll be accepted. Cheers, >>> Wgullyn.talk(); 20:40, 13 February 2022 (UTC)

Hello, Wgullyn,
I saw you write on an editor's page that "Autobiographies are not allowed." But if you read Wikipedia:Autobiography that you referred to, you'd see that they are allowed they are just "strongly discouraged" because of the difficulty of editing with a conflict-of-interest. Please read over the policy pages that you refer editors to, especially new editors, so you don't give contradictory information. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 04:20, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
WP:AFC Helper News
Hello! I wanted to drop a quick note for all of our AFC participants; nothing huge and fancy like a newsletter, but a few points of interest.
- AFCH will now show live previews of the comment to be left on a decline.
- The template {{db-afc-move}} has been created - this template is similar to {{db-move}} when there is a redirect in the way of an acceptance, but specifically tells the patrolling admin to let you (the draft reviewer) take care of the actual move.
Short and sweet, but there's always more to discuss at WT:AFC. Stop on by, maybe review a draft on the way? Whether you're one of our top reviewers, or haven't reviewed in a while, I want to thank you for helping out in the past and in the future. Jonknox12 (talk) 18:40, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
Hi there, Wgullyn, I'm somewhat new to Wikipedia editing, so I do apologize for my lack of knowledge surrounding the requirements for approval. What sources am I able to use for my page on Denise Park? I've used her bio published by the University of Texas at Dallas, the "About the Study" page maintained and published by the University of Texas at Dallas, and the "History" tab for the Center for Vital Longevity maintained and published by the University of Texas at Dallas. What about these sources are unreliable? I figured since they are all maintained by a state university, these should be fairly reliable for information. What are my options, here?
Jonknox12 (talk) 18:40, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Jonknox12! Those sources aren't unreliable on their own, but it's the fact that they are not independent of the subject. The reason I declined the draft is that you didn't add any new sources since it was submitted the last time. Judging by the number of citations they have on Google Scholar, they are definitely notable, but the draft needs more independent citations. After a quick search, I've found some articles that would be acceptable to use as sources: [1][2][3] >>> Wgullyn.talk(); 18:48, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
Thank you, Wgullyn. I'll see what I can do with them.
Jonknox12 (talk) 18:51, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
References being malformed is not a valid reason for declination, per WP:AFCSTANDARDS, especially when the subject is clearly notable. Just an FYI, keep up the good work otherwise Curbon7 (talk) 06:41, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
GSM Perry Mason
Hello, Wgullyn, I resubmitted my article https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Alan_G._Mason. The reason you denied my post about GSM Perry Mason, is because there 2 sources, I have added 2 more so there are 4 sources for my article. The sources I used are articles from the Household Division and by the Major Generals and soldiers that knew Perry at the time. GSM Mason had served under Her Majesty the Queen as Garrison Sergeant Major of London District from 1987 to 2002. There were a lot of videos about him, but they couldn't be added to my draft. if you are not happy with my article, you can contact the Household Division London District. But if there is anything wrong with my article, you can reply to it when you get to my message.
Sincerely Memphis8370 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Memphis8370 (talk • contribs) 16:26, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Memphis8370: that's better than it was, however it will still take some improvement before the article is likely to be accepted. You have a couple duplicate references, so there are actually only 5 sources total, one of which is a Youtube link. The biography section only has one reference and the personal life section doesn't have any. In addition, the lead of the draft still says, "... is a former", which implies they are still living. >>> Wgullyn.talk(); 20:29, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
Svalluru
Hi I see that you mentioned to give you 4 sources of references https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Tarigopula_Narayana. My bad that when I submitted second time I selected wrong option. This is about my grand father. There are no online mentions about his name. I found only one. We have some photos of news paper articles about him and his certificate about guiness world records. Can you let me know what I can do ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Svalluru81 (talk • contribs) 20:54, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Svalluru81: the key to your sources is reliability and verifiability. If you can find those newspaper articles online, then they could be considered reliable, but if you have the only copies of the articles it's impossible for other editors to verify the claims in the draft. In addition, we have a notability guideline for artists. If you can't find any online mentions, it's possible that they are not notable enough to warrant an article. Cheers, >>> Wgullyn.talk(); 21:12, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
I can find one more google book online in which his name is mentioned. Are 2 references not okay ? Another one is Guiness world records certificate which doesn't have online link, but you can check with them if you need. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Svalluru81 (talk • contribs) 22:26, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Svalluru81 unfortunately, mere mentions of a person do not count as reliable sources. Please remember that every single one of the claims made in the article need to be sourced, and mentions do not give almost any information. >>> Wgullyn.talk(); 22:32, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
Draft: Denise Park
Hello, Ingenuity,
A while ago, you helped me with my draft for Denise Park, a researcher at The University of Texas at Dallas. Since then, I have updated my sources to (hopefully) be compliant with Wikipedia's guidelines, and I have added a stub template to show that the draft is not yet encyclopedic. I was wondering if there was any further action I needed to take to get this draft approved, or if it should be ready as is, pending further contributions.
Thank you, Jonknox12 (talk) 17:45, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Jonknox12: The main problem is, in your words, "the draft is not yet encyclopedic". If it's going to be accepted, it needs to be encyclopedic. From the quick search I did the last time you asked for help, there are definitely quite a few reliable sources. Right now the draft is a single sentence which does not show notability. >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 18:03, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
Hi again,
Right, but there are several stubs out there that are not encyclopedic, with a single sentence. Do you expect a multi-paragraph entry into this person? I can certainly do that. However, that would take a while for the reviewers to review, and it would be most beneficial to me to have something published and expand it later. Is the issue that the entry is too short, or that the entry I have does not show notability? Also, "A stub is an article deemed too short to provide encyclopedic coverage of a subject." Since my draft is a stub now, this should be fine according to Wikipedia:Stub.
Best, Jonknox12 (talk) 18:09, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Jonknox12: stubs are fine as long as they prove notability. I'll go over the sentence:
- "head of the Aging Mind Lab" it doesn't describe what this is -- it could be a notable organization, but maybe it isn't
- "the Principal Investigator of the Dallas Lifespan Brain Study" again, readers wouldn't know if this is notable or not unless they research it on their own
- "Distinguished University Chair of the School and Behavioral and Brain Sciences at The University of Texas at Dallas." according to WP:NACADEMIC this is notable.
- Basically, expand on the current content to prove it is notable. Even just a few more sentences would make it much better. >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 18:34, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
- If you can get, say, a paragraph of content, supported by a few more reliable sources, I'd be happy to accept it. >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 18:37, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
Thank you, Ingenuity,
I'll make those changes and get back to you. I appreciate your willingness to help me out; I can't express how frustrating this has been recently.
Best, Jonknox12 (talk) 18:39, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
Hello, Ingenuity,
I've made changes that will (hopefully) add some notability to the stub. If you could review it, though, and see if anything needs to be changed, I'll go through and add changes.
Best, Jonknox12 (talk) 18:54, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Jonknox12: I've accepted the article, seeing as they are definitely notable. It does still need some work -- right now almost the entirety of it is based on their work, not the subject. If you could find some more information on their career/life/etc, that would be great. Cheers, >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 19:00, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
Thank you!
I'll be sure to work on that!

Draft:Uwe Hochgeschurtz
Please double-check the submission of Draft:Uwe Hochgeschurtz. By now, I have added three references to FAZ, Handelsblatt and Manager Magazin, which are the most important German newspapers. Opel (formerly part of the GM group) is one of the highest ranking German car manufacturers, and thus its CEO is relevant without any doubt. This is a clear case from my point of view. See also de:Uwe Hochgeschurtz. --NearEMPTiness (talk) 05:27, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
- @NearEMPTiness: this is a pretty hard submission to accept, mainly because most of the sources are in German so it's difficult to assess the reliability/verifiability of those sources. I'll trust your judgement on this and accept the article. You do have well over 20000 edits, so you can move pages to the mainspace yourself if you would like. >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 12:02, 22 February 2022 (UTC)

Unacceptable User Page Content
Hi, I recently added some content on the Vacuum cleaner page which you have removed. I inserted an external link to the relevant page of the Science Museum Collections which provided a picture of an early model of vacuum cleaner which was referenced in the article. This content is "peer-reviewed" by the Science Museum curator staff and provides some additional factual material to the article. Please explain why this is not acceptable? --Cnotrees (talk) 18:28, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Cnotrees: could you point out which diff you are talking about? I've checked your recent contributions and I haven't reverted any of your edits. >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 20:51, 23 February 2022 (UTC)

Zhianajoon (talk) 22:40, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Zhianajoon: there are multiple issues with the draft. First, it appears to be an article about you. Please see Wikipedia:Autobiography -- autobiographies are an example of a conflict of interest and are strongly discouraged. In addition, you submitted a subpage of User:Ramiar Refaei's userpage. As for the draft itself, it does not appear to meet our notability guidelines. As a general rule of thumb, economists, scientists, etc. should have at least a couple papers with 100+ citations, but the subject only has around 100 total. If it were to be accepted, it would also need independent sources -- right now none of the sources are considered reliable, as they are all profiles/papers they have written. - @Pavan actor TV industry pavan acharya: if the article is to be accepted, it will need independent and reliable sources. If you can't find any, it is likely that the subject is not notable enough to warrant an article. I looked at the IMDb page you linked in the draft, and it doesn't appear that there are many major roles. In addition, your username suggests that you are writing an article about yourself. Re: Lonnie Randall, page
YouTubers normally aren't cited in the local/state chamber of commerce and the "who is your first friend" doctrine doesn't apply here as the subject is shy and doesn't want publicity but a minimal level of acknowledgement is deserved regardless.

West Wolds Radio
I see that you have refused my request to return my article on West Wolds Radio to Wikipedia and I am not sure why. You say that the article does not include significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject. However my main references are about the station and are independent of the subject and from a reliable source - radiotoday.co.uk is the leading website for news about UK radio - and they are about developments at the station. Therefore I am puzzled as to why you have refused to return this article to Wikipedia. Rillington (talk) 16:22, 6 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Rillington -- I declined your draft because the references didn't show that the radio station was notable. The first source was an archive of the radio station's website, which isn't independent. The other two references are just articles saying it was closing. If you can find a couple more sources, it'd be much more likely to be accepted. >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 01:48, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for your reply. However I remain unclear as to why you have decided to decline my draft. You say that the radiotoday.co.uk references are merely articles about the station's closures but why does that matter when those references are independent references about developments at the station. Therefore will you please reconsider your refusal and allow the article to return to Wikipedia. Rillington (talk) 15:19, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Rillington: the user who moved the page to a draft added a notability tag (which you removed), and there haven't been any sources added since it was draftified. I don't personally think it's notable; you're welcome to resubmit it to get another reviewer's opinion. >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 15:33, 7 March 2022 (UTC)

Draft:ImagineFun Assistance
Hi Ingenuity,
Thank you for taking the time to review my draft. I've resubmitted it with the hopes that I've modified it to be more clearly defined as notable with some additional sources (as well as removed some material that may have come across as advertising). Please let me know what else I can do to fix this article. Thank you! Benboltrope (talk) 22:49, 8 March 2022 (UTC) - Ben
- @Benboltrope: the language is better, but the problem is that most of the references aren't reliable. Of the 9 references, only 2 (maybe 3?) should actually be used. Wikipedia aims to have sources that are independent, and the Tiktok and Spotify references aren't. The PC Gamer and Inside the Magic references look good, but the article would benefit from a couple more good sources. >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 23:35, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hi again Ingenuity,
- I appreciate you taking the time to get back to me so quickly! I have modified the page once again with a new source, and fixed two of the original sources to be external links. I am still getting used to using Wikipedia, I apologize for any errors. The Spotify link is a reputable podcast by journalist Carlye Wisel in which she talked with the company owner - is there a better way to link that as a source? I was also able to locate other sources, but I don't believe any of them qualify as reliable enough (though they are third party magazines/articles). Thanks once again, I very much appreciate this dialogue.
- - Ben Benboltrope (talk) 02:57, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Benboltrope: even if it is a reputable journalist, interviews are primary sources and shouldn't be used very often. As for the other references you added, they look good (though I haven't taken an in depth look). >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 14:15, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for the information, I have removed the source. The page was rejected once again. I have added another secondary source but fear the 6 sources just won't be enough in the end- much of the coverage has been done in journalistic fashion outside of purely articles. Thank you for all your help, it has been very much appreciated! I've submitted it one last time but am not holding my breath. Benboltrope (talk) 06:44, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
