- Hi. I have made a request to contest speedy deletion on that talk page. I will need some time to copy what I have so I can move it to a different place. I was not aware of the U5 rule. Thanks. Indexcard88 (talk) 00:20, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- I am replying again, and I will include this on the talk page.
- As far as I can tell, U5 applies to users who have not made contributions to Wikipedia outside of user pages. I will need to find a link to contributions I have also made to Wikipedia.
- I am including the text of the rule below.
- U5. A non-contributor's misuse of Wikipedia as a web host
- WP:U5
- Pages in userspace consisting of writings, information, discussions, or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals, where the owner has made few or no edits outside of user pages, except for plausible drafts and pages adhering to Wikipedia:User pages § What may I have in my user pages?. It applies regardless of the age of the page in question.
- Before placing this template or deleting a page under this criterion:
- Read Wikipedia:User pages § Handling inappropriate content and Wikipedia:User pages § Deletion of user pages.
- Consider blanking pages with a significant history unrelated to the content that is being deleted.
- For draft articles that are on a user's main page and which do not otherwise qualify for speedy deletion, consider moving it to a sub-page. Indexcard88 (talk) 00:29, 25 June 2023 (UTC)

Notice
[edit]Contributing to your "Archive" page does not count. You must contribute to articles which do not have your username at the start. QuicoleJR (talk) 00:36, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- Yes. I have done that.
- Please let me know if, I have also contributed to standard Wikipedia articles, if I am free to also have my own userspace.
- I guess it looked like I was contributing more to my own userspace than, generally, to Wikipedia. Is that correct? Indexcard88 (talk) 00:38, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- Is there a way to undo this "speedy deletion"? Indexcard88 (talk) 00:39, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- Here is a list of contributions I have made to Wikipedia:
- It looks like I have mostly contributed to my own userpages, recently. However, it clearly shows that I have contributed to Wikipedia generally as well between 2009 and 2023.
- Also, I am not sure if I should reply to your comment or my own comment. Thanks. Indexcard88 (talk) 00:45, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- It is against the rules to use your user page like you would a blog. QuicoleJR (talk) 00:48, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- It looks like I was unable to prevent the deletion of all pages under this userspace, despite being a Wikipedia contributor since 2009. Indexcard88 (talk) 00:49, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- WP:NOTWEBHOST is precisely why I deleted all those user pages, dozens of them. You have made 27 edits in article space, so I suppose you have contributed a bit, but that's not a lot, and those edits seem to have nothing to do with the stuff about Jesus Christ and your father, so NOTWEBHOST applies. Drmies (talk) 00:50, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- Alright. Thanks. I was also not aware that I do not own my userpage. Indexcard88 (talk) 00:55, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry. Drmies (talk) 00:55, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- Again, thanks. Does WP:U5 and WP:NOTWEBHOST also apply on Wikiversity, if I wanted to store research there on a userpage? Indexcard88 (talk) 17:59, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- I'd ask a Wikiversity admin. QuicoleJR (talk) 18:03, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- I guess I am just trying to act within guidelines. (Thanks.) Indexcard88 (talk) 18:03, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
