helpme I want to create a redirection page that redirects to Pennsylvania > Climate. Is this the correct format?
- REDIRECT Pennsylvania#climate
- No. The section is titled 'Climate', not 'climate'. Only the first character of article titles is case-insensitive; section titles need to be in the right case all the way through. Algebraist 16:57, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
Badges
[edit]helpme Is there an archive of badges on Wikipedia? I already have one on my page for Firefox, but I would like to find more.
- When you leave messages, please remember to "sign" your name, by putting ~~~~ (four tilde signs) at the end. This will add your name, and the date and time.
- I expect you mean userboxes? There is an extensive gallery of them, in Wikipedia:Userboxes/Gallery. Chzz ► 00:32, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
Archiving
[edit]helpme May I delete my previous helpmes?
You may; you can do almost anything you like on your own user pages - but it is not considered 'good form' to remove warnings before you deal with them. Instead of deleting things, however, you might prefer to move them to User talk:Indexcard88/Archive 1 - click that red link, and use cut/paste to move the parts across. Then, you could add a link to that archive at the top of your page. You can even have automatic archiving, and have a nice 'archive box' at the top of your page; see Help:Archiving a talk page, and if you need help with it - well, you know how to ask :-) Chzz ► 00:36, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
helpme How do I get rid of extra template around my userboxes on the front user page? User:Indexcard88 Indexcard88 (talk) 01:22, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
- I think I've taken care of it by removing the usbk part here. Regards, Skomorokh 01:38, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Bubbles and Boxes
[edit]How can I make a redirect on the Bubbles page to the character in Finding Nemo? I know it would look similar to this...
- REDIRECT Finding Nemo
...but it would have a # to redirect to Voice cast. How would I be able to redirect it exactly to "Bubbles"? Or should I just put there "'Bubbles' is a fish character in Finding Nemo."?
With the boxes, I am referring to the box in the signature, " Indexcard88 (talk) 00:04, 7 October 2009 (UTC) ". How do I customize my username into a cool-looking colored box? Is it a userbox? If so, how do I customize it? (I am reffering to Chzz's and Skomorokh's signature)
Thanks, Indexcard88 (talk) 00:04, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
- If you create the page Bubbles, and put this line in it;
#REDIRECT Finding Nemo#Voice cast
- ...that should have the desired effect, ie redirect to a specific section.
- Customizing your signature is a bit technical, so I don't advise it unless you are comfortable mucking around with some HTML code. Having said that, my own notes on how to do it here. If you need help with it, give us another shout. Cheers, Chzz ► 00:16, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
- You shouldn't - Bubbles already redirects to Bubble (a disambiguation page), which is far more appropriate. However, you could edit Bubble#Film to include:
- *Bubbles, character in Finding Nemo
- To create a blue box, for example, you could use: <span style="background-color:blue; color:white;"><span style="color:white;">Indexcard88</span> (<span style="color:white;">talk</span>)
- which would produce Indexcard88 (talk)
