A tag has been placed on Draft:Quacktastic, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello IFDProductions. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:IFDProductions. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=IFDProductions|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Theroadislong (talk) 18:45, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you open your eyes and saw my previous reply to DoubleGrazing‬ you'd see that I said I'm not getting paid, nor am I told to do this, get your head out of your ass and stop automaticlly assuming things without valid proof which s funny because its wikipedia 🤣 high and mighty behavior isn't gonna get you anywhere either Theroadislong. Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page.

that is my online handle I am not a business I thought yall did research before making actions literally proving my point. mods make Wikipedia look bad. I AM NOT PAID I CAN SHOW YOU MY BANK STATEMENTS. AND AM NOT PAID FOR ADVERTISEMENT IFDProductions (talk) 19:44, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
1. It is not necessary for you to be paid for something for it to count as promotion.
2. The rule about usernames states that they may not imply shared use - you don't need to be a business or group for your username to be inappropriate if it sounds like a business or group. AntiDionysius (talk) 20:07, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your username promotes a YouTube channel and the name itself clearly implies shared use. Cullen328 (talk) 20:10, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
then let me change it dude 47.226.108.37 (talk) 02:35, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
E.g.: The channel has carved out a niche in the YouTube music community, attracting viewers who are passionate about live music and historic band moments. The success of the video featuring Adam Gontier's return has been a standout, reinforcing Quacktastic's reputation as a go-to source for live music footage - this sounds much more like you're describing how great this YouTube channel is, rather than neutrally and objectively describing it based on reliable sources.
I also notice that Quacktastic is a featured channel on your channel, which naturally leads to the question of whether or not this is a person you're friends with, which would constitute a Conflict of Interest. If they are, you need to read about COIs, and then probably just don't try to write about them, because it's going to keep coming out promotional if you do.
If they're not someone you know personally and instead just a creator you are aware of and wanted to write about, then I'd advise reading about neutrality and verifiability on Wikipedia and non-neutral language to avoid before taking another crack at the article. Currently, your writing style is coming across like an advertisement (intentionally or not), and you're including claims (carved out a niche in the YouTube music community and reputation as a go-to source for live music footage) which are subjective rather than sourced. Those are both things we try to avoid. AntiDionysius (talk) 20:19, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
fair, also no I don't know them IRL. 47.226.108.37 (talk) 02:36, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

accused of my main online handle which ive had for 5 years a business when its NOT

Decline reason:

Your current username is the name of your YouTube channel, it is also the name of at least one business according to a Google search(certainly could be someone else's). Your choice of new username would be fine, but that is only one aspect of the block. You will need to discuss your inappropriate edits and tell what edits you will make instead- you should also address your personal attacks on this very page. 331dot (talk) 22:18, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I do not have a business on google. I only have a Instagram, Threads and a youtube account. Just delete the article instead of having to go thorough a frivolous editing ordeal, as for the personal attack i feel it wasn't an attack I just want this nonsense resolved so this isn't public anymore since you can't delete a wiki account, I will not be using this site once its resolved IFDProductions (talk) 02:41, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
