I have an OTRS ticket from the subject's rep asking us to correct her DOB to 1928, including a photograph of her passport with that date. We can't use the passport obviously, but maybe we could consider that with the source that uses 1928 as sufficient? Actresses are notorious for fiddling with their birthdates, and I guess that has finally caught up with Mrs. Dahl. If you're OK with this, please let me know. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 19:41, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
- FreeRangeFrog: Huh, don't have access to that queue for some reason, which is unfortunate as I'd like to see that photo. Do what you think is best. She's apparently told numerous reporters that 1925 is correct, but it seems unlikely for a passport to be falsified. Whatever the decision, it should be backed by several reliable sources, a note pointing to that OTRS ticket (as that's one of the reasons OTRS exists), and wording (as I included in a later paragraph) noting that various sources say otherwise. Keep me in the loop, I'll do what I can. — Huntster (t @ c) 03:41, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
Images of Rosetta mission landing sites
Images of "Five Rosetta Candidate Landing Sites" seem available - of possible interest to Wikipedia (in some way)? => http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/news.php?release=2014-289 - AND - http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/spaceimages/details.php?id=pia18778 - ALSO - ESA Copyright => http://www.esa.int/spaceinimages/ESA_Multimedia/Copyright_Notice_Images - in any case - Enjoy! :) Drbogdan (talk) 13:02, 26 August 2014 (UTC)
- Drbogdan: Available but copyrighted. An easy way to tell is in the credit line: if it starts with "NASA/" it should generally be public domain, "ESO/" it is CC-by-3.0, but if it starts with "ESA/" it is copyrighted in all situations. We're already using an image of 67P/C-G under fair use (despite my protests that it fails our fair use criteria) so we absolutely cannot use a second. — Huntster (t @ c) 08:41, 27 August 2014 (UTC)
- @Huntster - Thank you *very much* for your reply - no problem whatsoever - yes, thought this might still be the case - but wasn't entirely sure - Thanks again - and - Enjoy! :) Drbogdan (talk) 12:38, 27 August 2014 (UTC)
- Drbogdan, yeah, as a policy ESA does not release their material under a free license. I do hope they relent at some point in the future, as what happened with the European Southern Observatory, but due to the multinational nature of ESA, this may not be as easy as one would hope. — Huntster (t @ c) 14:49, 27 August 2014 (UTC)

Sen Goodell
Sen Goodell was by all accounts a liberal Republican. Why did you remove that? His ADA score was as high as Sen. Javits. TexianPolitico (talk) 15:49, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
- TexianPolitico, because it has zero relevance on his son's article. Such inclusions have the appearance of poking at one side or the other, whether intended or not. — Huntster (t @ c) 17:16, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
- It is a descriptive term, just as stating he was a senator from New York. Why mention then that he was a Republican? Even his NY Times obit called him a liberal Republican - http://www.nytimes.com/1987/01/22/obituaries/charles-e-goodell-former-senator-is-dead-at-60.html TexianPolitico (talk) 18:20, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing that out, I must have missed it. It's been removed as irrelevant to this biographical article. Noting that he was a Senator is enough. — Huntster (t @ c) 20:50, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

NASA IR image of SpaceX supersonic retropropulsion
Hi Huntster. You are pretty facile with finding NASA public domain images. Do you think you might be able to locate this one? Here it is talked about on NASAspaceflight ([1]), and that came from an Aviation Week article (see the previous NSF post). But the source is clearly NASA, so I'm guessing it is of the right lineage so it could be used on Wikipedia, no? Cheers, N2e (talk) 03:55, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
- N2e, yes, if the given credit line is accurate, then the image is public domain. Unfortunately, I cannot find a higher resolution image on either the NASA or APL sites...it's possible this was an exclusive story by Aviation Week, though perhaps a request to NASA Langley could be made for the original, if you wanted to go that route. — Huntster (t @ c) 04:45, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for sharing your view on that, Huntster. I appreciate it. N2e (talk) 12:27, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
Okay, this video was just released by NASA today!
New Commercial Rocket Descent Data May Help NASA with Future Mars Landings, 17 Oct 2014.
Do you know how to do the magic to turn this Public Domain vid into an acceptable open video format for Wikipedia? Please, please, please! (yes, you can tell, I think it is stunningly good, and fabulously interesting, and should definitely be a part of Wikimedia so the various language Wikipedia projects can pick it up. Cheers. N2e (talk) 21:53, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
- N2e, yes, I can do that. :D Let me play around with the video and see what solution I can come up with. — Huntster (t @ c) 03:11, 18 October 2014 (UTC)
- I am so looking forward to seeing it on wiki. We've been waiting a very long time for some wiki-legal images that would represent the reusable technology program SpaceX is doing. Looks like we finally have something to add that is GA-worthy. N2e (talk) 03:43, 18 October 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks!!! Awesome work, and a great job getting it into a larger size! I've added to the description on Wikimedia, and have now used the ogg file in one article. Feel free to review. You might see some things that could use adjustment. Very good to be working with you on this! Cheers. N2e (talk) 12:27, 18 October 2014 (UTC)
Just to let you know...
On the Cygnus CRS Orb-3 article I inadvertently hit something that did a revert of your edit. I have fixed it and undid that edit. So it is now what it is suppose to be. My sincere apologizes. TheGoofyGolfer (talk) 05:59, 31 October 2014 (UTC)

Use of Page Notice...
Can I get your permission to use the Page notice that you have on your talk page that asks users not to user Talk Back templates. I think this would be very useful for me but of course not without your ok. TheGoofyGolfer (talk) 06:02, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
- TheGoofyGolfer, you're more than welcome to use that notice. — Huntster (t @ c) 07:22, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
NRAO
I noticed you added and removed a comment about NRAO images. Because this was raised at the ITN, if there's a reason why you withdrew your comment, or other light you can shed on the issue, I'd welcome if you could comment there. Obviously a Main Page image should be have its i's dotted and t's crossed, and I am indeed uncertain about whether it's PD or only CC. Wnt (talk) 02:15, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
- Wnt: the image is not, and has never been, in the public domain. The image and license, as it stands now, is good to go. I admit I am still curious why you uploaded a duplicate in jpg format, when then issues with tif files have been solved. — Huntster (t @ c) 02:19, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
- When I uploaded the image I wasn't aware of the other after a search for HL Tau, and I downloaded it from https://public.nrao.edu/images/non-gallery/2014/c-blue/11-05-HL-Tau/HLTau_nrao.jpg (a jpg). I was going to check on the duplicate, but when you withdrew your comment I forgot. Wnt (talk) 02:29, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
- Oh, LOL - the TIF was uploaded two minutes before mine, so I was already fiddling with the text annotations at that point. There are now three versions at https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3ASearch&profile=default&search=HL+Tauri&fulltext=Search . At some point we should have a merge. :) Wnt (talk) 02:32, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
- Ah, I just missed it somehow. I've nominated the third for duplicate-speedy-deletion. — Huntster (t @ c) 02:56, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
Video and stills of the 2014 Virgin Galactic crash
I just added a very good video the NTSB released to the 2014 Virgin Galactic crash external links. The NTSB is also releasing a lot of stills on its Flickr page. I don't know if you are interested, but with these being US government materials, it might be that Wikimedia could have some decent image data for the various articles to use. Best. N2e (talk) 12:07, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the notice. I'll trawl through the stream later and see what might be useful. For my own notes: NTSB incident page, photo set on Flickr, NTSB on YouTube. — Huntster (t @ c) 16:52, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks. N2e (talk) 05:57, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
- They haven't posted anything of real value on their Flickr stream. It's rather disappointing. — Huntster (t @ c) 06:05, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
Jonesborough Historic District
Hello, I am working on this page and am constructing a table of "contributing" and "noncontributing" structures. Since this will take a very long while, how do I indicate that a page is "under construction" and don't risk an editor deleting something that looks "undone"?Steven C. Price 17:00, 11 November 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Steven C. Price (talk • contribs)
- @Steven C. Price:: There's a template for that! See {{Under construction}} for more information. However, I would suggest making a sub-page in your user space, such as User:Steven C. Price/Sandbox and building the list there, rather than building it piecemeal in the article itself. — Huntster (t @ c) 19:38, 11 November 2014 (UTC)

Image map of asteroid impacts: ok - or not?
If possible - may need help - is following image *entirely* ok (or not) => File:SmallAsteroidImpacts-Frequency-Bolide-20141114.jpg - image is presently added to several appropriate (imo atm) Wikipedia articles => "Asteroid", "Asteroid impact avoidance", "Impact event" and "Near-Earth object" - image seems to be from "NASA" and/or "Near Earth Object (NEO) program" and/or "Planetary Science" - Thanks in advance for your help with this - and - Enjoy! :) Drbogdan (talk) 19:48, 14 November 2014 (UTC)
- @Drbogdan:, in my opinion, this image should be fine. I've switched out some categories to represent meteors rather than general asteroids, since the map is specifically measuring bolides. — Huntster (t @ c) 05:08, 15 November 2014 (UTC)
- @Huntster: - Thank you *very much* for *all* your help with this - it's *greatly* appreciated - Enjoy! :) Drbogdan (talk) 10:23, 15 November 2014 (UTC)
Mars orbiter Mission
Hello. Could you please take a look at user Abduscted edits at this article? He is hell bend on dismissing the science payload and objectives of this mission. I lost my patience really fast. Thanks. BatteryIncluded (talk) 23:37, 25 September 2014 (UTC)
- BatteryIncluded, sorry, work has kept me from being active. Is there still a problem occurring? The lead mention of instruments looks okay from my perspective, and the article seems to be stabilising (thank goodness). — Huntster (t @ c) 04:48, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- Actually, he is still in denial. I corrected his negative POV. Abductive had a fit and now he thinks [POV] that the methane detector is the only instrument that matters. The reference states that MOM will do analyses of all gases in the atmosphere and they will complement the data from the other orbiters. His attitude is strange since he was not even aware the orbiter has a scientific payload (Talk:Mars Orbiter Mission#Scientific payload?, and wants to dismiss it and its usefulness, but has no reference to back it up. He has reverted this entry and reference with the quote several times. Thank you. BatteryIncluded (talk) 18:14, 28 September 2014 (UTC)

Additionally Mylswamy Annadurai is Programme Director not Project Director as referred in this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 14.139.158.62 (talk)
- 14.139.158.62: I've corrected it to Programme Director, thanks for that. It is not inappropriate to mention the leader of a program, just as is typically done when mentioning a major directive under a president or prime minister. That there is a large group involved in a large mission is simply understood. — Huntster (t @ c) 05:25, 27 October 2014 (UTC)

- I suggest you go to the article's talk page and find consensus for such a change if you feel so strongly for it. — Huntster (t @ c) 06:12, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
What you have done by reverting my edit is inaccurate because मंगलयान is not an attested Sanskrit word. You will not find it in Monier Williams, Apte, or any other Sanskrit dictionary. It's a modern coinage. Therefore it is important to list only its components मंगल and यान as Sanskrit, not the whole compound. If you have a better way to represent this than what I did, feel free to do so. However, to leave it as it currently is would be incorrect. To be even more precise the Sanskrit word should actually be मङ्गल and not मंगल. The latter is the norm in Hindi. ShahDuniya (talk) 08:14, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
- ShahDuniya, nothing is static. "मंगलयान" is in wide usage as a compound term used to reference the Mars Orbiter Mission, nearly 280,000 Google results. It's even the title of the Hindi Wikipedia article for MOM. This is my opinion of course, but you need to go to the article's talk page to gather a consensus to remove or change, since your removal has been challenged. — Huntster (t @ c) 08:26, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
- There is a difference between Hindi and Sanskrit. मंगलयान is fine for Hindi but isn't legit Sanskrit. There was a debate about it in the past with speakers of non-Hindi Indian languages objecting to Hindi being given "credit" for the word. The user Foreverknowledge found a solution (on the article's talk page) in which only the components मंगल and यान would be represented as Sanskrit for the sake of accuracy. By changing this, you have (unknowingly) made it less accurate.ShahDuniya (talk) 09:00, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
- ShahDuniya, very interesting. Thank you for the background on this, I admit I was not aware. I've restored a form of your edit, see if you agree. Cheers! — Huntster (t @ c) 09:25, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree with it. Thanks! ShahDuniya (talk) 09:28, 16 November 2014 (UTC)

H2O: Just Add Water Page
Hi Huntster. I hope you don’t mind me contacting you. I admit to being new to Wikipedia and in fact will stop making changes to your entries. However, you should know that the theme music is written and performed by Shelley Rosenberg (BMI publishing) and the “music by” credit only relates to and only means that the theme music was produced (recorded and mixed) by Danny Beckerman and Ric Formosa. It is not a composition credit. Through the making of all three seasons Ricky Edwards wrote over 15 hours of the score music and Ric Formosa wrote over 12 hours of the score music and that is credited on each episode as “Original Music By” and is log that way with the Australian Performance Rights Association (APRA). Danny Beckerman was originally asked to work on the series as one of the score composers but unfortunately contracted cancer and much to all our sorrow past away during the making of series 1. --User:Ricky.edwards — Preceding undated comment added 04:06, 8 December 2014 (UTC)
- Ricky.edwards, thanks for contacting me. Do you know if there is a page at the APRA website that contains this information? I could use that as an authoritative source in the article. I'm about to head to sleep, but let me see what I can work up with this information tomorrow. I also do not want to discourage you from editing...there has been a history of vandalism to the infoboxes of those articles and I suppose seeing unsourced changes made me assume the worst. I apologise for that. — Huntster (t @ c) 04:40, 8 December 2014 (UTC)
- Huntster, I don't believe that APRA cue sheets are available online. I will try to find out more. Also, please don't feel you need to apologise for doubting my edits. It is a "free for all" and maintaining integrity is tricky. Meanwhile, sweet dreams. (I'll work out how to sign off properly soon. Sorry). --User:Ricky.edwards 04:46, 8 December 2014 (UTC)
