Orphaned non-free media (File:UDEL coat of arms.png)

Thanks for uploading File:UDEL coat of arms.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:07, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Claymont

I too strongly ask that you cease editing the Claymont page. I am very aware of the events that took place and if you are getting your panties in a bunch over what I am saying, then you are guilty of the crap that occured. Get a life and stop being a control freak.

Interesting

It will be interesting to see you prove that Xin Yang is still alive. She was killed in the second Virginia Tech massacre. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.194.34.71 (talk) 11:59, 11 March 2009 (UTC) There is a Wikipedia article entitled Murder of Yang Xin. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.194.34.71 (talk) 12:15, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

I take offence to your recent reversion of my edit. Educate yourself by reading the article Myth. CapitalElll (talk) 17:19, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

Crucifixion and Good Friday

Hi, the same user you reverted is adding the same myth POV text to Good Friday if you want to take a look at that page. I have reverted them twice there. Cheers. History2007 (talk) 16:19, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Thanks fro your attention and edits to Good Friday. And happy Easter. History2007 (talk) 11:07, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Wilmington, Delaware Demographics

1. If the section of the article is about ethnicities, why does it only have to include European ethnicities? That makes NO since especially when African Americans make up the majority of the city, why can't their festival be included? 2. I don't see where the author left references for the other European festivals, so why is it required that I do? 3. Here is a site, I do not know how to add the reference as I just opened my account yesterday. http://www.harriettubman.com/index2.html The site actually says what I said regarding the festival. 4. Kind of ironic that this page doesn't show the puerto rican parade either. 5. I am born and raised in this city, as were my parents and grandparents. This is the third time that someone has come along and undone my edit on this page for some reason or another, it makes no sense! (The other two times I appeared as an IP user)

Please re-add my revisions, thanks.--Obscure323 (talk) 12:23, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Ok, my mistake, I was not sure how the referencing works. As far as the European thing, why is it even pertinent? If different ethnicities' celebrations are mentioned, it will be obvious which ones are european.--Obscure323 (talk) 12:41, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Now see, there you go again! Look, I don't want to do the whole editing thing, GROW UP. Stop being a control freak and rewording every edit that I make simply for the sake of rewording it. It seems to me that you have a SERIOUS problem with mentioning the African festival with any sort of significance. Maybe you are from Castle Hills and Collins Park as the heritage of those areas would explain it all. Go edit the New Castle page instead. Thanks.--Obscure323 (talk) 12:41, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Maybe I jumped to conclusions regarding any percieved disdain for adding the festival. I apologize. Also the puerto rican parade should be added. Yes I thought the same about Bob marley and clifford brown. I was thinkin about changing the running section to be called "Other events". That way it could include the running stuff, but also the marley fest, jazz fest, first night (think they still do it), the crab fest, and also the stormin normal b-ball classic.--Obscure323 (talk) 12:46, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Cleaning up the Delaware festivals page is important too; however, the things I mentioned are WILMINGTON SPECIFIC, so they have a major pertinence in the culture of the city. I think they should be mentioned on the wilmington page by changing the running section to be called "Other events". That way it could include the running stuff, but also the marley fest, jazz fest, first night, the crab fest, and also the stormin normal b-ball classic. All of these happen in the city and are just as important to wilmington as mardi gras and the essence fest are to new orleans.--Obscure323 (talk) 13:03, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Re: Delaware license plates

It's on the second page of the cited article. Sorry for the confusion. As far as the image goes, I didn't upload it, but I'd find it hard to believe that such a simple design could be copyrighted. That's been the case with other historical license plate images, as opposed to the complex, modern designs most every state other than Delaware currently uses. But thanks for the heads-up; I'll look into it. Qqqqqq (talk) 21:55, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

The article at the cited source has four pages. Qqqqqq (talk) 22:10, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
Ok, I see you found a url that contains the entire article on one page, rather than four separate pages. I guess 1959 is ok as the year, although there was some tweaking of the design in 1969 (the addition of the gold border) that caused me to choose that date. Regardless, the source is accurate in pegging 1959 as the introduction of Delaware's long-running slogan and color scheme, so all is well. Qqqqqq (talk) 05:19, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Linguistics s attention

Hi, thanks. And that is a sad phenomenon indeed: many people miss the cross with Jesus on it as they focus on other details... so anyway, that article should focus on Christ. Fortunately, other vandalism has stopped... until a week before next Good Friday....Cheers. History2007 (talk) 12:57, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

Evangelical

Sorry if we had a misunderstanding. I am a Christian and also felt that biblical and other terms should be capitalized. But here we must "render to Caesar...." I think we both want to make sure articles on Wikipedia are scripturally accurate. R/T-รัก-ไทย (talk) 02:41, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

RfC: Creation according to Genesis

Hi, Hokie. Talk:Creation according to Genesis has an active WP:RfC "Request for comments" that may interest you. It concerns the dispute over calling Genesis 1-2 a "creation myth." Thanks. Afaprof01 (talk) 01:46, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

I hope you don't mind that I added flags for 5 new countries. Thank you for your Userboxes. BuffaloBob (talk) 11:51, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for fixing my flags. I did not notice the space and could not figure out why they were not showing up. BuffaloBob (talk) 17:13, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Child Evangelism Fellowship requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Drdisque (talk) 19:56, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

Genesis Creation Opening Paragraph

Hi Hokie. Hope everything is going well with you, your family, and school. Re: tightening the lead. Doesn't the exact title of the article need to appear in BOLD somewhere in the lead paragraph? Thanks for your ongoing tweaking of this important article. ─AFA Prof01 (talk) 02:49, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
