As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing.

User name
[edit]What would you suggest as a username as we want the page to be called Her Game Too but the user name could be Caz May Her Game Too Official (talk) 20:06, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
- Each member should create a unique account, as sharing accounts is prohibited. Not yet sure of what you're going to work on, but keep in mind policies like WP:PROMO. –Vipz (talk) 20:14, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
- Ok I was just going to put some info about the campaign from a neutral point of view so that people can find out more about it if they should want to Her Game Too Official (talk) 20:23, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
- You are presenting yourself as a "we" which means that you had started out with an idea of sharing this account among multiple individuals for convenience. I don't blame you. It's rational, it's simple for you—I get that. But there's a big BUT, and bear with me please: This is absolutely prohibited on Wikipedia (as Vipz said), because you as a plurality (as a "we") can't accept the Terms of Service of this site. The Wikimedia Foundation which operates Wikipedia doesn't enter into relations with groups or incorporated entities. Only an individual can be accountable for their interaction with the site, and this is required for attribution. Any single human being that interacts with this site must have their sole, private, uncompromised, account. Let's say there's four of you and you're Mary, Jane, Emma, and Victoria. Each one of you needs to have a personal account to edit. You can come up with any pseudonym you like, or can even use "Mary at Her Game Too Official", "Jane at Her Game Too Official" etc. But this account will need to be abandoned. If you then want to contribute any content about Her Game Too Official, it's very important that you follow the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guideline, and disclose your external relationship to the group. If you don't follow this advice that you've been given about shared use of an account, this account will probably be blocked. Sincerely —Alalch E. 20:29, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
- Ok that’s fair enough I wasn’t aware so I can’t change this to my personal account, I have to start over? Her Game Too Official (talk) 20:40, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
- If you are the sole individual who created this account—and apparently intended to share it with others in your collective, per your reference to a "we"—but, in fact, still haven't shared it, i.e. shared the password, you may keep using it as your personal account, but you need to change your username to something acceptable, which delineates you as a single individual, by following the advice outlined in the above talk section. If other members of your collective want to edit Wikipedia under a registered account, each of those persons would need to make their own, separate, non-shared, and uncompromisable, account. And please remember the aforementioned conflict of interest guideline. Sincerely—Alalch E. 23:35, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
