Welcome!

[edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Information icon Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Vigyanitalkਯੋਗਦਾਨ 03:16, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that you need to add the citations in the article - just putting a list of books on my talk page is not sufficient. Please read the links above about how to do that. noq (talk) 08:03, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 12:21, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please write in English on en.wikipedia.org (the English language Wikipedia) :-)

[edit]

Hello Harmansinghkang11!

It it best if you use English here on the English language Wikipedia. If you do write in another language, then please write in that language. That way we can use Google translate. There are also people here who speak other languages that can read directly.

I notice you have written some messages to other people that are not in English. I think the messages are in Punjabi but in English alphabets. Very few people will be able to understand that!

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Sethi. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. noq (talk) 13:00, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia. This is your final warning, for adding unsourced content. I will wait for 1 day. If you still do not added sources. I will remove that text and report you for blocking. Vigyanitalkਯੋਗਦਾਨ 13:01, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove the maintenance templates from Wikipedia articles without resolving the problem that the template refers to, as you did at Sethi. Fiddle Faddle 13:30, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It is clear to me that you have no desire to be blocked. However, you are not going about editing wikipedia in the correct way. I have seen one message on another editor's talk page that they may well view as offensive. You need to become aware, and fast, that Wikipedia is policed by the entire community, and that your work is very public and is being performed in the most awkward way you seem able to perform it.
Where your edits are challenged, work on the reason why they are challenged, and solve the problem. Work well with other editors. Co-operate with them. Add references properly. That way you will enjoy it here. Fiddle Faddle 13:44, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Harmansinghkang, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Civility warning

[edit]

You have written some filthy message on mine and Noq's talk pages. Such messages are totally unacceptable at Wikipedia. All the editors have to talk in civil manner with others. We are only asking you to follow some wikipedia rules, which every editor has to follow. You have been trying to insert this material for about an year and you should have learned by now that you can not add this material without proper sourcing. The filthy language you used is of no help. Sick people use such language. I could have replied to you in your language but I am not doing that and giving you chance to improve. If you continue to be uncivil, you will be blocked from Wikipedia. --Vigyanitalkਯੋਗਦਾਨ 14:49, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
