Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Hardword1, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as User:Hardword1/sandbox, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

New to Wikipedia? Please consider taking a look at our introductory tutorial or reviewing the contributing to Wikipedia page to learn the basics about editing. Below are a few other good pages about article creation.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, ask me on my talk page. You can also type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. A tag has been placed on User:Hardword1/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.arabnews.com/node/402425?fbclid=IwAR03BOgQjY9sINp7wSFFtvWiF4Q5j-SkAKh3lzOzP8LUosvKF3uyRIYb7Xg and https://www.youngmuslimdigest.com/society/08/2016/exeter-mosque-testament-religious-harmony-uk/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. From your message on the sandbox talk page before it was deleted, I can see that you misunderstood the message. The links were not the problem. It was the fact that you copied and pasted substantial amounts of text verbatim from these websites, both of which have copyright notices on them. You cannot use copyrighted text unless the verified copyright owner authorizes its release. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:17, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Islamic Centre of The South West (of England). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Exeter Mosque. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Exeter Mosque. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 05:52, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You,
When I first create the article , Wikipedia allowed me , as there is no page has the same name.
Any way
Can I add this information the the existing page you mention, As I did big research and every word I wrote I have a document of it, some I couldn’t add as a reference as it’s an arabic book .
Many Thanks. Hardword1 (talk) 06:53, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi,
I tried to add the information to the page that got the name of Exeter mosque , but one of the admin ,I think deleted it , can you let me why?
each information I added ,there is a reference for it, If the information itself shouldn’t be in wikipedia, then why you didn’t tell me from the beginning? when you deleted the information you said it’s because the name . Hardword1 (talk) 16:25, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If a place/organization changes its name, then the proper thing is to do a "move". That changes the title of the article while preserving its contents. If you aren't sure how to do that, then you can request a move. Since you are a newer user, I would advise you do this.
Your work is not lost. The edit history of the article you created is here. You can view the contents of each revision by clicking the date and time (for example, the last one you saved was "21:54, 2 April 2023‎"). --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 17:39, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you , but the Admin removed what I added to the exiting page of Exeter Mosque, how can I add my information or part of it ? Hardword1 (talk) 18:30, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The editor's summary gave the reason of "Revert: unduly promotional and entirely unsourced". Therefore, the way forward is to open a discussion about your changes on the article's talk page, Talk:Exeter Mosque. The goal of this discussion should be to arrive at a consensus through discussion and compromise. It is important that all parties in the discussion assume good faith of their fellow editors.
You should also be aware that Wikipedia has a manual of style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic format. It is also important to maintain a consistent method of citing sources. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 21:42, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you . Hardword1 (talk) 03:24, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your help
I will not try to add any thing to Exeter mosque any more, and thanks for your patience.
I would like to clarify something,
1/ I added sources in the part (Link) .One on the resources was a link for website called ( telling our stories finding our roots, was a research about the building), which was a research and interview with trustees and pleple who came to the city in late 80's . An article in Arab news.I even added a cition for the charity registration in the gov website.
2/ I don't do any promotional , to whom I did, Ruler of Sharija? PROF Ekameleldin ihsanoghlo ?(who was secretary of the organisation of Islamic cooperation. To Dr Abou Leila (RIP) ? who already mention in his page in wikipedia that he was one of Exeter mosque founder ,. or to Dr AlNakerb( RIP) who was mentioned the details of the mosque in a book about him (in Arabic ).unfortunately you didn't allow me to put a link of that book as it is in different language.
I thought by adding the details it might help people to know the effort beyond the building, and reply people's question How ?
Many thanks for your patient with me.
