Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Native Americans in the United States has been reverted.
Your edit here to Native Americans in the United States was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline. The reference(s) you added or changed (https://theamericanhistory.fandom.com/wiki/The_Native_Americans) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 10:19, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Washington County, Oregon. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Wikipedia is not a place to display ads for real estate or anything else. Also, adding the same hashtags to all of your edit summaries is inappropriate, and looks like you are trying to promote something, which is not allowed. Please use the edit summary only to summarize your edits. —[AlanM1 (talk)]— 18:02, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A bit of digging identified the hashtags as efforts by librarians in general and African librarians in particular to reduce the Wikipedia backlog of citations needed. David notMD (talk) 21:11, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much David. David notMD (talk)

Recent edit reversion

[edit]

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.S Philbrick(Talk) 12:21, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Sphilbrick for the correction. I have taken time to go through the Copyright Policy that you shared and have learned my lesson. I believe that action will not be repeated again. Thank you.

ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:57, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without evidence of permission. Please take this opportunity to ensure that you understand our copyright policy and our policies regarding how to use non-free content.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=I plead for pardon, and will not repeat such an act again. In a bid to add content and better the platform so as to keep people informed, I did not acknowledge appropriately my source, despite the information being retrieved from a primary institutional website. Thank you. Your reason here ~~~~}}.  MER-C 18:30, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I know you've already been blocked for this, but I cannot overlook and am extremely concerned about edits like this. You will need to convince us that you understand why this is problematic (not just from a copyright perspective) and that you won't repeat this. MER-C 18:33, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
