Umm...
I think you're SERIOUSLY over estimating your power on this fine website. You do NOT have final say on my article's signifigance, there are several people above you, and many more in your same rank. I'm not here to please you, please get off that high horse. Just a suggestion.

Test templates
I mainly do recent changed patrolling and welcoming commitee work, but i had a question I was having trouble finding the answer to. If a user or IP make a blatant vandalism edit, do I have to be an admin to add the test template? Daniel_123 ► ► 13:56, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- No! You're encoraged to warn vandals, then when they are up to a final warning and continue, report them to WP:AIV so an admin can block them. See WP:TT for a load of templates you can use, and WP:CUV for a guide to cleaning up vandalism. Petros471 14:06, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- PS. Gwernol: Hi :) Petros471 14:06, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Hello, Gwernol. I wanted to sincerely thank you for the extra effort you have put into getting the Club Penguin article up to standards. As you well know, it has been no small effort to monitor that very active article. I noticed that you have recently placed the article in "Protected" status. Might I make a humble request? Would you please consider changing the status to "Semi-Protected"? That way, I and some of the other, more experienced editors could help with the clean-up. And almost all of the inappropriate edits have come from unregistered IP users. I will respect whatever decision you make, and, again, thanks for your efforts and guidance. --Satori Son 17:56, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks so much. If there are any other articles you need a hand keeping an eye on, please don't hestitate to ask. --Satori Son 18:13, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi its 578
Hello Gwernol,
Since you are the admin that I have had the most contact with and that I feel is the one of the more leveled headed ones, I would like to ask you a question. Yesterday AlphaChimp blocked an IP because I left I note on your talk page saying "I wasn't going to use the (fill in the blank) bot". S/he claimed that I was "threatening to commit vandalism" the other part of my note was also taken off your talk page. Now the rest of the note had nothing to even remotely do with vandalism yet it was still taken off. I was looking at the entries on U-boats the other day and in my view they are rather meager. I want to bring them up to the status that I fell they should be at. I would like to do this under my "578" screen name, but that is currently banned as you correctly linked it to the other IP's I was using. If you unblock my account I swear that I wont do any more vandalism to wikipedia again. If you (or any other admin) finds that 578 or any IP that traces to where I live is doing vandalism you can ban it for life. If you don’t want to unblock 578 I understand and I will make another account but openly state that its for my editing U-boat entries.
The reason why I started to vandalize wikipedia was because I did not like some of the new rules/policies and some of the users. Fram would follow a group of us around like a troll and try to Speedy Delete, AfD or RfA every article that we made (they were all legit despite what he claims)Though I reported this to admins and filled a legit RfA against him I was shot down saying I filled it wrong and if I did it again I would get banned. At that point it was pointless to even try to do anything more. I then became a vandal, I want to go back to being a legit editor (if you look at all the edits 578 made in around 2004-2005 all were legit). Let me know what you think.
TO ALL THE RC PATROLS PLEASE DONT BAN ME OR REMOVE THIS FROM GWERNOL'S TALK PAGE I AM NOT AND WILL NOT DO ANY MORE VANDALISM TO WIKIPEDIA. IF GWERNOL WANTS TO TAKE THIS OFF HIS TALK PAGE SO BE IT BUT PLEASE LEAVE THAT UP TO HIM.
Kind Regards -578 128.227.97.25 18:23, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Tynllwynhen
Further to my previous comments: coincidentally, I went to Tywyn today. I didn't have time to travel on the Talyllyn, but I did pick up a copy of the latest guide book. In that, they spell the halt with two words, i.e. Tynllwyn Hen. I suspect either is correct. — Tivedshambo (talk to me/look at me/ignore me) — 21:01, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Pixies
Hey. Uh...thanks. I messed up. I admit it. I'm...really sorry. I should have been upfront and either requested a move or contacted an admin. I didn't realize you could move an article to an existing redirect as long as it only has one edit in its history, which Pixies (band) did. I just knew it couldn't stay at the title "pixies". I'm...sorry. Oh. I said that? Sorry. D'oh! There I go again. Anyway...thanks for fixing my mistake. I swear it won't happen again.

Help disambiguating
Hello, I've seen you've been editing UK related articles, and there is a current need to help disambiguate the term British. At Wikipedia:Disambiguation pages with links, British is the disambiguation pages with the most links (by far), and ideally there should be no links to disambiguation pages. So if possible, please take a look at the links, and try to disambiguate the links to a more correct location. It's actually pretty easy, and most get disambiguated to United Kingdom. If we could get 10 or so people doing 50 links a day, we'll be done in no time. Thanks in advance , -- Jeff3000 03:43, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

You seem to be a well experienced admin
You seem to be a really popular and well experienced admin, so I was wondering if you could give me some advice on things I would need to improve on if I ever wanted to become an admin. I was thinking about nominating myself on WP:RfA, but I seriousley doubt I would be made an admin at this point. Looking at my own Logs and Contributions I have already noticed a few things that I'm lacking, but I'd really apreciate it if you could tell me specifically what I need to do to have a good chance at having a sucessful RfA. Thanks in advance =) --KojiDude (viva la BAM!) 07:21, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

Blocking
While you were right to temporarily block both me and the user Cliesthenes (try saying that one three times quickly) for bickering over the Rosie O'Donnell article, at least I didn't try to change the wiki guidelines page to justify my actions, as that user apparently did: [1] Wahkeenah 09:21, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
explain what I'm are doing?
Re: Your message on my talk page.
I made these categories for Categories: to have upper-level categories at the top of the list instead of sub-categories at the top of the list. I don't like sub-categories being at the top of the list. Also, the !!! Albums is a sub-category and not a list of sub-categories. Therefore, it's name should be changed to Albums !!! so it's no longer at the top of the list. The top of the list should be lists of sub-categirues like any other Categorization plan. Using the exclamaation point I discovered is how the software gets the general categories at the top of the list, where they belong.
Category:!Art and culture
Category:!Geography and places
Category:!History and events
Category:!Mathematics and abstractions
Category:!People and self
Category:!Philosophy
Category:!Physical sciences and nature
Category:!Religion and spirituality
Category:!Social sciences and society
Category:!Technology and invention
Those are the general categories from the list you get to from the main page. It is possible to put them on the Special page, Categories as well that you get to from clicking Categories at the foot of any article. There's no talk page on that page, and the improvements were obvious. -- Chuck Marean 09:58, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, edit conflict there. I had opted to take the whole statement about "40 acres" out, as most of the time those kind of things are never backed up by facts. About the same time you tagged it as "citation needed". Feel free to put it back though. Happy editing! Katr67 19:06, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
Thanks
Thanks for your reversion of my user page, but as the notice says at the top, I decided to let it go however users want it to go, and there would be no such thing as vandalism on User page anymore; I would appreciate it if you revoked any warning to the IP that did it. — [Mac Davis](talk) (SUPERDESK|Help me improve)04:34, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

British
See Wikipedia:Disambiguation pages with links. British is a disambiguation page and from that page: "Wikipedia articles should not link to disambiguation pages (with rare exceptions where the ambiguity of a term is being discussed); instead links should go directly to the appropriate article.". British actually is the biggest disambiguation page and is the coloboration project of the month. The standard practice for adjectives for countries such as "American" or "Persian" is to disambiguate them to their country such as American and Persian. If you want more information ask User:RussBlau, he's kind of the user with the most experience disambiguating. -- Jeff3000 00:44, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- Also note, that I don't always disambiguate to United Kingdom. I check the date and location that the adjective is referring to, and then decide. Some go to Kingdom of Great Britain, some go to United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, some go to British India, and some go to British North America. Given the recentism that is in Wikipedia, however, its no surprise that many go to United Kingdom, as usually all the film/song/pop/etc articles actually relate to the current country. -- Jeff3000 00:52, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

User Page
Hi there; thank you for reverting my userpage. Why would Coolioolio choose my page for such an extended and time-consumimg piece of destructive writing? I have never, I think, touched any writing of his.--Anthony.bradbury 08:11, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I think that that is the biggest, though not the most obscene, vandalism that my userpage has so far been subjected to. I had forgotten (of course) delete-tagging his article, and as it has long gone I didn't find it on his contribution list. I don't know how to search at a deeper level for deleted articles, or pehaps as a non-admin am not allowed to.--Anthony.bradbury 11:22, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
I'd like to second the thanks for reverting vandalism to my user page. MER-C 13:27, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
stds
well i created the STD template myself and have been adding in all the relevant articles that i can, we were talking about herpes in class yesterday and roseola is a type of herpes and can be passed on through sexual contact, my friends father has it. which made me think its an std regardless of what the article saidQrc2006 11:47, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
how did i list it wrong? im going to sleep now btw. but yeah it didnt look legitimate the title made it seem made up or whatnot no links or referances and when i googled it i didnt really get much. as for hearing it in class i really dont care if thats not good enough, if im wrong someone will fix it, if im right someone will cite it thats the beauty of wikipedia and i think youre asking me to stop is rather discouraging, but ive gotten used to a tone of clinical rhetoric and subtle animosity on here, people really should be more friendly and word things nicerly, i think it sends the wrong message. as for the other STDs i worked my ass off making that template, its easy to criticize when you havnt done anything, i also noticed you removed hepitius without mentioning it on your edit summary, thats rather deceptive. anything else? Qrc2006 11:59, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
look over my edits, most of them are damn good, i wrote every single Category Childrens books with LGBT themes article except for heather has two mommies. and i created the template for stds so give me a break so i got one wrong. ok sorry yeah youre right u didnt take hep off, i thought u did, i am dislexic and i really did think u did, assume good faithe why dont you. what do you mean by cavalier attitude, i think blocking me will do great damage to wikipedia because i have plenty to contribute and even if u do it wont stop me, there are thousands of computers on campus i can just use another one if u block me theres lots and lots and lots of ISPs regardless you shouldnt block me cuz i havnt done anything wrong and yeah i de belong here, and you are harsh, hmm im glad Stephen Colbert is messing with you guys, because many of you should really lighten up, as for my afd so i messed it up, jeez and i didnt know that the afd should have keep/delete sections they do in the spanish version which your potential block wont effect me, plus i would contest it anyways. haha. ok fine i said "haha" i bet thats like pure evil on here, i swear some of the rules are extremely anal-retentive and im going to propose that AfD's allow keep/delete/other/comment/merge sections for the sake of simplicity and fluidity. i dont know what your angle is, i think you are targeting me and being mean for no reason. i am not damaging wikipedia, i have had misunderstandings in the past, so what i also called mrs. fergueson a bitch in kindergarden, does that mean i should be admitted to Cal or San Diego state? i mean im confused, like what have i dont wrong? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Qrc2006 (talk • contribs) .

Categorisation of Wales Railway Stations
Is there a policy for how Wales Railway Station pages should be categorised? There does not appear to be a consistent approach.
For example, stations on the Heart of Wales Line are put into category:Heart of Wales Line, whereas other stations are put into (for example) category:Railway stations in Gwynedd.
Matters are also comlicated with heritage railway stations. For example, Tan-y-Bwlch railway station is currently in categories
Similar issues are evident within Category:Disused railway stations in Wales
Do any guidelines exist that specify how the stations should be categorised, and also how the categories are related? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dav24873 (talk • contribs) .

Yea I'm new to Wiki, but why are you taking out what I said about THQ. The statement I origanlly put in was already changed to It is also known in the gaming community that THQ has made some bad games. This is usually due to the fact they do movie/toy tie-in games or take prior video game properties and dumb down the gameplay. I feel that that was enough of a significant change to stay. Also the statement is true and should not just be deleted. Paulrelca 07:15, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism
Hi there; I have been fairly active today annoying vandals, and I seem to be a current target anyway. I will not be looged in again for about 24 hours. Could I ask you to do me a favour, keep an occasional eye on my pages, and revert any idiots who have nothing better to do than to attack me? Can my userpage be protected from new and unregistered users?--Anthony.bradbury 23:57, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
- Got home earlier than expected, and nothing seems to have happened; they must have got bored (or got blocked). If possible, I would still like my userpage blocked to new and unregistered editors. I know it can be done. Can you do it? Please?--Anthony.bradbury 17:39, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- OK fair enough. I am happy to follow wiki policy, although allowing free editing of other editor's userpages could be seen as a discussion point.--Anthony.bradbury 21:20, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- Please do not misunderstand me; I had and have no intention of making any sort of issue out of it. Take it as residual irritation caused by 14 vandalisms. And yes, I know that some people have been hit a lot more. Thanks for your help.--Anthony.bradbury 21:28, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Assistance with a difficult editor
Hi, We've interacted in the past and I appreciated the manner in which you dealt with the issue. (cuckold) I am hoping that you might give some assistance in dealing with a problem. Unfortunately I am involved in a revert war with a fellow named user:michaelbluejay on the Criticism of the clothes free movement article and the Nikki Craft article. He seems like a nice enough guy, but he keeps reverting editing changes that I have made. From the talk page on those articles, as well as his talk page, you can see I have worked hard to work it out. As a result of the difference of opinion that we have, I submitted an RfCWikipedia:Requests_for_comment/Society,_law,_and_sex, and got no response after a wait a few weeks. I then posted to the 5 with no response. Eventually Michaelbluejay asked a friend of his to comment, (an admin I believe) who gave weak support. Now, I am not trying to get you involved in that really. Basically MichaelBluejay is a very good friend of Nikki Craft, and edits the content for her web sites, and insists on including references to those web sites numerous time in the indicated articles. (Nudist Hall of Shame and nudisthallofshame.info] web sites does not qualify as a reliable source, and is largely original research and pushes a POV with little verifiable data (in my opinion). I've just asked Michael to pull the information relevant to the article INTO the article, and cite the original source, rather than the opinion on said sites. Lately in the Nikki Craft web site I have made improvements to her Bio, and asked for references for some of the information stated there, but where to references are cited. I keep being reverted, over and over, even though I am making what I believe to be meaningful changes. I find it disruptive to have to deal with being reverted over and over, and embarrassing to be involved in a revert war. I tried to negotiate that we would just leave the site alone until we got meaningful response on the RfC, but that brought that we could leave it alone as long as his citations remain. My other attempts to work with have failed too.
I guess I am not sure what I expect from you. I'm not asking for him to be blocked, or anything, I just wish someone who is an admin would step in and give a more authoritative opinion. If your opinion is in his favor, rather than mine, then so be it. At least the issue will be resolved. I suppose my ideal would be a request that we leave out the cited disputes until we get meaningful response from the RfC, or an admin willing to take on the issue of whether or not the web sites violate wikipedia standards, as I discuss in too much detail elsewhere. Even just a word of advice would be welcome. Thanks, Atom 19:08, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
I see you have been really busy. If you'd rather not assist with this, that's no problem. Atom 13:53, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Question about edit removed.
Hello. Today I made my first edit - and I wonder if you can tell me why you removed it. I know I have a lot to learn about how this works, so I thought I'd just ask...
The edit was made on this page List of high schools in Pennsylvania. The change I made was to add an external link to the web page of Benton High School in Columbia County. Perhaps only links to other Wikipedia pages are allowed? Or perhaps it isn't deemed useful to have a link to the website of the school?
Thanks for any light you can shed on this, Hugohs 04:53, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
Awesome rfA vote
Hi, no don't worry, you didn't miss anything on that RfA. I occasionally support users' RfA's if they don't stand a chance of passing. It's not the first time I've done it either. Why you ask? Well,
- There's no harm in it, as it won't actually affect the end result
- It's to help the candidate feel a bit better about themselves
- I believe throwing a bunch of oppose votes in someones face is unneccasary, when ultimately it won't make any difference
I encourage you and other users to do the same, you could say I'm taking WP:BITE a bit further.--Andeh 10:16, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- Well I'm doing it for the same reason I'd say someone is reasonably good at painting, when infact they are not. Truth hurts sometimes, which is why lying is sometimes the better route to take. I won't stop voting like that in the future, but instead I'll take your advice and avoid using such strong words such as "awesome", I'll just tone it down a little.--Andeh 11:27, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
Hesher?
I was collecting contributions from other users, why delete the article (within 10 minutes) before any of them could edit? Sorry new to Wikipedia, but this article is needed, why not allow the one I created as a stub?

Hesher?
Thanks for the response. I was enlisting the help of others more educated than myself, but without a document to edit, I don't see how they can contribute.
This article is linked to from many related articles. Though incomplete, I believe the article I wrote works well as a base to be "cleaned up" and corrected. It is much more substantial than the previous article which was discussed & deleted. Do you not agree?
Thanks,
-J —The preceding unsigned comment was added by JonathanCross (talk • contribs) .
Hesher?
Hey Gwernol,
>> I don't see why starting it again in basically the same state
If you look, it is not the same article at all. True, its not referenced, but it is researched (within wikipedia mostly) and links to many pertinent articles. It is clearly needed as part of the explanation of terms such as headbanging, the origins of Grunge, heavy metal music etc.
>> For 18 months the article sat there and wasn't sourced or improved
The last article had 18 months to get "cleaned up", the one I created was barely alive 18 minutes. Hardly giving it a chance.
Found at least 5 articles that link to this one, is mine really worse than nothing?
I won't continue to argue if you still feel it warrants deletion.
Thanks,
-Jonathan

Regarding User:207.127.74.2
Gwernol, I am writing you because you are an administrator who may be able to do something about User:207.127.74.2. If you look at his Contributions page, you will find that he has been vandalizing for many months in dozens of articles. If you also look at his Talk page (User talk:207.127.74.2), he has been repeatedly warned and even blocked at least once. Is there no way in which this incorrigible vandalizer can be permanently blocked? - mbeychok 17:18, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
Club Penguin Talk Archive
Using the history of the Talk:Club Penguin, I have created a discussion archive page at Talk:Club Penguin/Archive 1. As you are well aware, the history of that page was a mess: lots of refactoring and vandalism. But I think I have sufficiently pieced together the edits and captured the past discussions. If you get a chance, please take a look and make sure it meets with your approval. Thanks, Satori Son 19:28, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
Mr. Lefty's RfA thanks
Hi, Gwernol, and thanks for supporting me in my recent request for adminship, which succeeded with a final tally of 70/4/4. I hope I can live up to your expectations, and if there's ever anything you need, you know where to find me! --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 00:09, 26 September 2006 (UTC) |

Reply to user page editing
There are exceptions to the rule. For example, fair use images may only be used in articles. Editors may remove such images from other editors' user pages. (24.87.56.91 15:21, 26 September 2006 (UTC))

Privacy
Hey Gwernol, thank you for the warning. I did not attack anyone. I stated facts. Please email me what you think is a personal attack so I know for next time. Your email made me wonder about this issue of privacy. Each of you except two women (Strauss and Ewart) seem to have aliases. Why not use aliases to protect their identities? This only seems fair. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by JPeter2 (talk • contribs) .
FT clan
First of all I am calm and have been throughout this entire process to this point, but now I am starting to get pissed off. You claim to be making an encyclopedia yet you do not allow people to post things which others may learn about or learn from. Last time I checked people used encyclopedias for research and for learning about new things. I am not making personal attacks on any of the people here, I am merely stating how COMPLETELY AWFUL my experience with wikipedia has been so far. If you are to encourage people to contribute then maybe you could try by not being so uptight and by not being assholes to those who post things.Saatana 19:59, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
How am I to discuss things with people who are being quite simply, closed minded and will not listen to my arguements? In my last recreation of the page which I have posted, I put the reasons why the group was significant which is what I had been asked for, but you just flat out deleted it anyway. How about you make up your mind about what you want from me?Saatana 20:01, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Well then what contribution of yours am I supposed to talk about? The fact that you so nonchalantly go around and delete other peoples work as if you were god? Also, just because you, as GOD obviously, havent heard about the clan doesnt mean that it isnt notable. And how are there supposed to be "reliable sources" when I cited the web site of the clan and the only real sources about the clan besides that are the people in them? How do YOU know that we are not reliable?Saatana 20:09, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Personal attacks do not include civil language used to describe an editor's actions, and when made without involving their personal character, should not be construed as personal attacks. I did not say anything about your character, merely about your attitude towards others, especially those new here. Thus, you need to read the article you posted for me to read yourself before you get on your high horse and say I made a personal attack when I clearly did not as defined by your own rules.Saatana 20:11, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
HOLY CRAP! how many times do I have to say this to get it through your obviously thick skull? you can talk to the FOUNDING MEMBERS for the information...they are able to verify what has happened and because they started it. It's like their child. Jesus Christ this is frustrating dealing with you people.Saatana 20:15, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- Gwernol, as someone who dealt with this repeatedly recreated page earlier, I just wanted to send a "bravo" your direction for your consistently calm, reasoned explanations in the face of quite a few blasts...keep up the good work. FWIW, my welcome message to this user, as well as a mild explanation/warning, were deleted off his talk page. I didn't really feel the need to restore it, but just wanted you to know. Thanks! Akradecki 21:35, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Your abuses have gone far enough Gwernol. You will face justice for your intimidation and power trips. This is a required notice.
Gwernol I hope I am doing this right. I would like to request arbitration and report gross abuses and intimidation by the user/ adminstrator "Gwernol" who conducted a 1 WEEK block for an editor who made a good faith attempt to improve the "Jodie Foster" by adding just 3 words. Furthermore Gwernol proceeded to use page protection to gag the user from using his or her own talk page! Gwernol (or his allies such as user ZimZalaBim) then took the extraordinary, unethical and unusual step of changing the history page record of the Jodie Foster article to erase even the history of the attempt at improving the page and his revisions. Gwernol then threatened this user/editor, who was acting in good faith, with an lifetime ban! (Which I do not believe that he has the authority to do). They then after being reported revised the history page again!
I hope the Committee will look into this along with the sarcastic, belittling and needling comments Gwernol puts about edits he does not like with the comment (to many good faith edits). "Thank you for experimenting with the page Jodie Foster on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed" He should know perfectly well these edits are not "experiments" but the hard work of people trying to improve articles. He also made unsubstantiated and possibly slanderous claims of an editor conducting "repeated vandalism" on the Jodie Foster which he has no proof of. He also belittled an editor by suggesting the editor should "strongly sugggest you sue" the school the editor attended because of Gwernol's perception of the editor's ignorance. These kind of insults and incivility are unbecoming of an Adminstrator.
I believe Gwernol and his supporters have abused their power as administrators to punish editors for content they do not like regardless of its relevance and truthfulness. I ask that Gwendol's SYSOPS and Administrative powers be revoked or at the very least be suspended for 6 months. I also believe Mr. Gwernol owes me an apology for the severe intentional infliction of emotional distress, intimidation, and probable slander he has caused. Please consider his expulsion or suspension and my request for the betterment of the Wikicommunity and Wikipedia. Thank you very much. 71.111.117.99 09:17, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- Gwernol I just wanted to say well done for your actions here, and for keeping a cool head in spite of immense provocation. I don't know if I could have managed as well as you have. --Guinnog 23:30, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- Further to my bravo above, seeing as how this is continuing, I think you need this (feel free to move it to whereever you want.) Akradecki 23:41, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for the speedy revert of the vandalism on my userpage. --Wildnox 00:20, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
I am really very sorry and did not mean to. I saw another truck classified site posted there and thought it was ok. What is the criteria for being listed as we are both classified sites? Thank you very much for your assistance.

Since when has there been a rule saying you can't have MediaWiki logos on your userpage? I have seen several people (even moderaters) with such logos on their userpage.--B&W Anime Fan 12:23, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Oprah article
Is there something wrong with the edit history page on the Oprah article. I just made an edit and it hasn't showed up there yet. Cardriver 18:28, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
The locomotive articles, again
I seem to be getting into a low-grade edit war with User:Attilios over the locomotive articles again. I appreciate his concern about North American bias, bcause I see it myself. But I'm tired of fighting with his attempts to substitute (his) European biases for my American ones. Particularly peeving was his removal of mention of the New Haven Amtrak locomotive change from electric locomotive; I've put it back and referenced it to boot, but I'm not confident that this will be sufficient. The articles clearly need European input, and something better than the locomotive class name-dropping we've been getting. I just am not the person to do that.
If you could please take a look at this and try to convince him to work cooperatively I'd appreciate that. Mangoe 18:50, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
Don't accuse me of vandalism!
I didn't vandalize the Bugs Bunny article! All I did was warn people not to vandalize it in invisible text. We all know about that guy that keeps blanking the article and writing R.I.P BUGS BUNNY. HE GOT BERBEQUED. I was simply warning that guy not to write that, in invisible text.--B&W Anime Fan 20:19, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

I do not see the reason for the deleation of the page Acadame North since its refrences where given from outside sources, the criteria was not from a deleated artical, also it was written with full nuetralirty. I dosent make senseHelloan 20:22, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Can you help ?
I put up the roast beef thing the other day in the wrong place and you pointed out my error, Its now in the Wikibooks cookbook area, and I am trying to link the article to the food books index. Am not particularly good at that sort of thing. Can you assist ? I also wrote a recipe for Roast Lamb which I would like to link as well. Any help greatly appreciated. Tried the Help section but its a bit gobblygook !! Thanks - Peter

EXCUSE ME?
Um...I don't think you kno what your talking about. I called an editor on wikipedia a racist, and you wrote me and told me that I should read wikipedia's no personal attacks policy, well...I won't bow down to wikipedia when I KNOW that that person is WRONG! If I think someone is a racist, I'll tell them! I WON'T cower down! I am the future Paramount Chief of the Serozza Tribe of Malawi (an eastern afrtican nation)! We are NOT cowards! How do I delete my account from wikipedia? I am sick of their liberal beliefs! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cpofserozza (talk • contribs) .
Hello?
Mr. Gwernol, The reason I am so upset about this is that first of ALL, I had only gotten my page partially uploaded for one day when it was deleted! I had not gotten a chance to post "verifyables", when some person came along and decided to put it up for deletion. Since you are a "just" and "reliable" source for information, maybe you can tell me how to delete my account. Its simple; I HATE WIKIPEDIA! After looking at several "editors", I have come to the conclusion, that most, if not all of the "editors" I looked at, seem to be on here just because they like power and control over other people. So, PLEASE! TELL ME HOW TO DELETE MY ACCOUNT! I DO NOT want to be associated with such an organization as Wikipedia! It clearly has views, which are not applicable to all. Good night "kind" Sir.
Warm Regards,
His Royal Highness, The Prince Richard, The Crown Prince of the Serozza Tribe of Malawi, The Prince of Xiotalonkhot

- zOMG! Now you have royal prince and princesses addressing their woes to you. /me dies laughing — Nearly Headless Nick {L} 12:28, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- Well coming, as I do, from a long line of royal princes I am not surprised that others of my quality and breeding would seek out my counsel. I see, Sir Nick, that you had something of a stalker yourself; most annoying, dear boy, most annyoing. Gwernol 12:38, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
Ideaworks3D
Does that apply to CSD for copyvio? That was why this was speedied in the first place (I supplied that link on the talk page). Then it was re-created. Then Ideaworks3d (lower case) was created and much expanded (still with some copyvio). 3D was changed to a redirect to 3d. 3d was PRODd and deleted today leaving 3D as an orphan redirect. I placed a de-empty on it. An admin removed that. I then reviewed the logs and realized that *now* 3D was a recreate of the article that was a speedy copyvio...I placed a db-repost, but you removed that... So, what now. I can copyvio it or PROD it or AfD it, but all this seems like a lot of effort to get rid of what was, after all, just an orphan redirect... Thanks, Brian 16:14, 30 September 2006 (UTC)btball
- Sorry, I just reverted it to the way it was when I placed the wrong tag on it....It *was* a redirect to 3d ... which was deleted via prod. I *should* have placed a db-redirnone tag on it and none of the rest of the confusion would have happened.
I'm fine with either PROD again but it seems like just deleting the orphan redirect would be the right thing to do. Whatever you think is best - I was just trying to clean up broken links after the PROD of the 3d article ... Brian 16:37, 30 September 2006 (UTC)btball
