athiests are sinners
Not sure if you knew but that was a recreated article, recently deleted a few minutes ago. --mboverload@ 02:26, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
Why have you removed my edits to the England page?
I made some edits to the England Page which you have regressed. Can you explain why you decided to do this? The main edit I made was (once again) the removal of the assertion that the English Democrats Party is a far-right political party and the implied association with the BNP. I don't kno what agenda you are following but I find it offensive. I am not a member of the EDP but I do know several high-ranking members and the party is absolutely not far-right or racist. Please reinstate my changes. wonko 21:11, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Sorry for calling you queer
My apologies, I accidentally clicked the wrong name. You, my friend are not a queer.
User:Son of a Peach
Please share with me your opinion of User:Son of a Peach. I may have mistakenly nominated his or her user page for deletion. Please share your thought at the page's entry on the Miscellany for Deletion page. Thanks in advance. Somnabot 08:03, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
I'm sorry
I'm sorry I removed that, but I honestly thought lies had no place on Wikipedia. If he was truly sorry, then why has he never stated so on my talk page? but only continued to persecute me and try to order me around.
he was not defending himself, he was making up baldfaced lies, he should atleast be warned, that's all I asked for.
he says one thing on their in order to escape justice, but his words everywhere else have proven to be opposite.

Test email
Hi. Will you do me a favour and send a test email to my new account I just set up and attached to my wiki preferences? Thanks. --Guinnog 18:40, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

London is "very cosmopolitan"
Please explain to me why you keep inserting "very" into the London article. The claim that London is "very cosmopolitan" is hard to justify since there is no objective way to measure "cosmopolitan-ness", so how can we say that London is "very" cosmopolitan, while other cities (presumably) are merely cosmopolitan. Your addition makes the article less neutral. I should also let you know that Wikipedia has a policy against making more than three reverts every 24 hours. Please do not put this edit back into the London article. Thanks, Gwernol 23:33, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Oh for pity's sake. It should be blindingly obvious that London is "very" cosmopolitan - just as New York is "very" dense and highrise, Tokyo is "very" futuristic, Paris is "very" beautiful, etc. You don't have to conduct some kind of test or study to come to this conclusion. Just take a stroll around the West End and you'll see the overwhelming multitude of different peoples and cultures flowing from literally every corner of the globe. Look at the countless different neighbourhoods around the city, occupied by tens of thousands of French, German, Spanish, Italian, Greek, African, Australian, Chinese, Russian, American, Arab, etc. etc... All of these people manage to live together in harmony. More languages are spoken in London than any other city in the world. I think you're being incredibly anal. AfD nomination revert
Thanks for revisiting your recommendation and changing on the Throat Gaggers article after I worked on it. I'm not attached to the topic (quite the opposite, actually), and don't know what possessed me to clean it up. I was wondering, though - if the nominator changes their recommendation, does that result in an automatic "Keep"? Or is that viewed as a rather strong "Keep" by the closing administrator? I'm not sure it should carry more weight, I'm just wondering if it does. On a more personal note, I lived in San Francisco for 15 years and now live in Chicago. I miss SF every day. :-( Thanks.—Chidom talk 01:22, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
Comments on afd pages you advised me about before
On Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Philip H. Farber a person has left a comment about me (the nominator). Do you think that it is inappropriate? Or is it related in this case?
I think what gets me into trouble is trying to clear out wikify backlogs. I end up tagging articles and every once in a while feeling like I should afd -- which I have sworn I would never do again. But the wikify directions say to do that if you feel it needs it.
My new resolution -- stay completely out of clearing up backlogs! I've done too much of that anyway. Mattisse(talk) 15:56, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
Hi Aeropagitica, I'd like to talk with you about the block on this user. I believe its possible that I may be able to talk some sense into this one, so I'd like to consider lifting your block on him/her. The condition would be that if the user returns to adding nonsense to articles, I will reinstate the block without warning and with a longer duration (probably 1 week). Are you comfortable with this? Thanks, Gwernol 23:15, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
- Gwernol, thanks for backing me up on my talk page regarding this user. While I still feel that this person was knowingly vandalizing, I hope you don't feel I was too hasty in my decision to report him or her to AIV. I certainly hold myself responsible if the block is to be deemed inappropriate. That said, I will go along in complete agreement if this user is unblocked, and will continue to monitor him or her myself, if that's alright, while exercising neutrality and not rushing to any more conclusions. -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 23:19, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
Please understand that my request here is absolutely not a critisism of either of you. The block (and the request for it) were totally appropriate. The only reason I'm making this suggestion is that I see some glimmer of hope that we can make a productive editor out of Zharta. I could well be wrong about this, in which case it will only reflect poorly on me, not on either of you. Hopefully the worst case is we have to revert a few more nonsense edits, and the best case is we gain a valuable contributor. Best, Gwernol 23:39, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
- OK, I will do so on the basis that Zharta is under your supervision. Regards, (aeropagitica) (talk) 04:57, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi...
I see my userpage's nonsensical MfD is doing just fine...although I wish to clear something up for you. You referred to me as "he/she". When someone includes the word "son" in their name, it usually means they're male. :) SoaP 16:07, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Review of Block of User:Dschor
You reviewed this block, but you may have acted somewhat hastily in refusing to consider an unblock of this user. He was actually shaping up to be a useful contributor, but was victimized by the Arbitration Committee, which led to a months long ban and subsequent abuse by numerous administrators. I would advise you that an unblock with mediation would probably be superior to the current situation, as his block provides an unwelcome example of unfairness and out-of-process abuse by wikipedia's administrators and arbitration committee. --71.36.251.182 21:57, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
List of Frankist Jews
Sure here: Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/List_of_Frankists_Jews. The creator re-directed it to List of Frankist Jews probably to try to dupe people. It worked unfortunately. He also keeps on adding this original research material to articles such as Adam Mickiewicz. Can you keep an eye on that article so it won't happen again? LaGrange 12:54, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Minimum gauge railways
Your edit summary: "Lakeside Miniature Railway is not a minimum gauge railway". Why not? I can't find any gauge listed, but photos seem to show it as less than 2 foot - probably 15". -- Tivedshambo (talk) 19:08, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Boco vs Boco (disambiguation)
Hi. I'm afraid that I have helped prolong the Boco/BoCo/Boco (disambiguation) mess identified in Wikipedia:WikiProject Disambiguation/Malplaced disambiguation pages, although I did at least resolve its connection to Boston Conservatory, for which I was given a barnstar! (Yes, I got fed up of typing 'BoCo' into the search box and ending up at Boston Conservatory rather than Boco the Diesel Engine!!)
If you look at the history for Boco you will see that it would be quite reasonable to move Boco (disambiguation) back over it, and delete the latter, since Boco (disambiguation) was only created from Boco in July. This is the activity identiified by that project, but requires an admin to do it.
Could you have a look when you have a spare moment please? (It's not urgent).
Thanks. EdJogg 10:31, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Sentance logic
I believe that it is ignorance, not a typo. People who are dumb enough to spell 'sentence' with an 'a' should not get away with just a redirect, but should have to work to find the article. 'Sentance' is not a truly common misspelling. Anyway, trying to say 'sentance' just sounds weird. If you seriously believe this redirect should stay, add the template {{R from misspelling}} to it. I'll know it, so you don't have to change my talk page. Reywas92 20:25, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
PLEASE READ: for those of you who are doubters, please notice no back link to the website www.searchtoppers.com which would be the case if one was self promotion, and further more if you have a phone with a web brouser go to searchtoppers.tv and view a demo of the search toppers mobile streaming technology in action. the mobile streaming transfer rate is greater than 24 frames per second (HD). It works on all carriers except verizon who has not lowered their "wall garden". search and lear about carrier wall gardens then you can look up H.264 technology without disclosing patent pending information you can easily see searctoppers is who they claim to be. Thank you in advance for the time it will take you to confirm.
Thanks.
Guess I pulled the trigger on that political committee article a bit too fast. Looked pretty "nn" at the time. Used to be a regular editor here; you'd think I'd know better! Anyway, back to some other (smaller) wikis. Take care. 74.62.6.84 01:41, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Ken Loach and Eva Gore-Booth
As far as I can see, those images are not public domain and the uploader put a false tag on them. The Gore-Booth photo says "circa 1930" but the license tag only applies to images taken before 1923. The Loach photo has a copyright statement from the original site which is explicitly not public domain. Demiurge 15:55, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
Hi, could use an admin's help over at the New York City Fire Department article. An AOL user is spamming the article with a link that s/he puts back whenever it is removed.(Diffs [1] [2] [3] and more) It's a slow moving thing, so no technical 3RR violations. The user has not made any attempt to give a rationale for the link despite attempts to engage him/her with edit summaries and a talk page request to discuss[4]. Since the link is coming through AOL user IP addresses I was hoping we could get the page semi protected. Thanks, --SiobhanHansa 16:19, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

WP:PROD backlog
How can 310 articles past 120 hours [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] not be considered a backlog? I do not understand why you removed the backlog tag as there is quite obviously a backlog of 5 days and hundreds of articles. -- ShinmaWa(talk) 06:42, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
- Your edit summary gave a very different impression than your explaination. In the future, I recommend that if such a thing happens, you move the tag to the proper location with an edit summary to that effect, rather than just delete the tag. -- ShinmaWa(talk) 06:50, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi. I was wondering if you could clarify a comment you made on User talk:Rhythmnation2004: "Please read this and understand that this is the way Wikipedia names articles. Articles do not have to have the same name as the subject they are about." Rhythmnation2004 seems to think the comment means that he is allowed to capitalise song and album titles exactly as they appear on the CD covers, regardless of what Wikipedia's style pages say (Wikipedia:Naming conventions and Wikipedia:WikiProject Music stipulate that articles, prepositions and conjunctions in song and album titles shouldn't be capitalised). Now he's reverting wholesale any attempt made to clean up his edits, and he's becoming slightly uncivil again. I get the impression he thinks that song and album articles are to be treated differently from others and have their own "style" independent of the MoS, and that I just have a "bee in my bonnet" (so to speak); if somebody else (particularly an admin) had a word with him, he might recognise the importance of the style guidelines and policies. Thanks. Extraordinary Machine 14:13, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

i just want to mention that your RfA nomination was very well presented. It made it a lot easier for me to review this users contributions. This is especially important when a user has many AWB like edits that make contributions harder to access. I am also happy to say i can support your candidate. Obviously this one will be close. Thanks for the feedback on my edit to the TiVo article. It was original research and there are no documented sources that I know of. I worked with TiVo when they were first formed and have first hand knowledge. To my knowledge none of this has been published. I'm a new editor and this was a good learning experience.
I have another question: On DMOZ there are editors that will review one's work. Do you all do the same for wikipedia?
(There is another article that I've created that I'd love to have you look at. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Management_and_Planning_Tools For some reason when I search for 'Seven Management and Planning Tools' I don't see the article.) Thanks!! JDToellner
