Dawn of Sorrow PR
Given the lack of responses on the peer review for Dawn of Sorrow, would it be a better course simply to send it to WP:FAC? If so, could I simply close the peer review? The wording at WP:PR is confusing, although I believe a nominator can close their peer reviews at will. Thanks, Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 06:38, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
- Meh. Closed both of them and nominated the article for FA status. Feel free to comment at the nomination, and make any and all necessary improvements to the article. Regards, Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 07:51, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks :) I don't think there is any other merchandise. Konami hasn't released anything for it besides the game. I'll see what I can do about the setting. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 22:05, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
- Here (or more specifically here]) is practically the perfect picture to slap in the development section. Problem is that I'm entirely clueless on its copyright status, and I've seen it on multiple sites ([1] [2], [3]), thus making me even more confused on its copyright status. Help would be greatly appreciated. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 09:27, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
Musing
About possibly a Castlevania task force of WP:VG? Given the example of the Devil May Cry task force (Wikipedia:Featured topics/Devil May Cry), a focused effort could fix up the Castlevania articles in a similar fashion. There's more than enough information available on SotN, HoD, AoS, and numerous others to make it to FA status. Given, the older games are a significant problem, but the prospect of improving the aforementioned ones to GA or FA status is compelling. Thoughts? Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 05:33, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
I thought I'd mention this one to you, since getting this to GA status would take about 5 minutes tops. The reviewer said he wanted a better intro, and its extremely simple to do as the article is so short, but I need another pair of eyes. Doable? I'm going to copedit the Characters of KH tomorrow :) Judgesurreal777 03:30, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you soo much! :) Judgesurreal777 17:37, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
Possible Featured Topic
According to the featured topic criteria, any three featured articles covering a specific scope can receive the said status. Three articles I have worked on (List of Naruto chapters, List of Naruto chapters (Part I), and List of Naruto chapters (Part II)), have all been sent to WP:FLC, with the Part I and Part II articles featured and the first one still at WP:FLC. Should the first one pass, should I open a featured topic nomination? They cover the scope that they set themselves to, and I can't see any overlying problems. Given that you were heavily involved in the Kingdom Hearts featured topic, input onto this idea would be appreciated. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 08:00, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
- And they're nominated! Here specifically. Comments would be highly welcome. Thanks, Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 19:45, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Characters task force
Your sandbox page looks like a good start. I would really be interested in helping out or even co-heading the project with you, so could you keep me up to date on the progress? Zemalia 05:06, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
Featured List of the Day Experiment
There have been a series of proposals to initiate a Featured List of the Day on the main page. Numerous proposals have been put forth. After the third one failed, I audited all WP:FL's in order to begin an experiment in my own user space that will hopefully get it going. Today, it commences at WP:LOTD. Afterwards I created my experimental page, a new proposal was set forth to do a featured list that is strikingly similar to my own which is to do a user page experimental featured list, but no format has been confirmed and mechanism set in place. I continue to be willing to do the experiment myself and with this posting it commences. Please submit any list that you would like to have considered for list of the day in the month of January 2008 by the end of this month to WP:LOTD and its subpages. You may submit multiple lists for consideration.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:LOTD) 17:31, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
This is an article I created a few months ago, and its about half complete. Just wanted to show it to you, since its there if you were interested (hint hint) :) Much has already been accomplished with it, but I think stupid people want to split it up unless it gets trimmed and a few more references. -- Judgesurreal777 (talk) 20:09, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- I say go for it, I have been trying to figure out how to trim it down to what is verifiable but didn't have any ideas. So yeah, other than the video game section, which may eventually have to be trimmed to, feel free to start regrouping and trimming a lot. :) Thanks for the help! Judgesurreal777 (talk) 17:56, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
Hi. I have been working on this article for a little while, and I wondered if you think it has a chance of becoming a GA. Any thoughts? The Prince (talk) 22:52, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- I think it was a good idea to make the audio section a subsection of "Development", and I moved the criticism under "Reception". The article would, of course, look a lot better with in-game screenshots, but I'm not good with fair use rationals etc., and I fear that they'll shortly get deleted by BetacommandBot or someone else. You're right about the game making Player's Choice (my copy of the game is Player's Choice) and I'll see if I can find a source. Speaking of sources, I have trouble finding more of them, and I agree that 18 refs is not enough. The gameplay section probably needs some instruction booklet refs, but since my instruction booklet is in Swedish and Danish, I can't do much. The Prince (talk) 17:32, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
- I decided to add some refs from the Swedish manual. It's better than no refs. The Prince (talk) 14:27, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
- I have now done the things that you pointed out, and I think the article is ready for GA. PS: Is it ok to have the review scores from Nintendo Power and IGN in the lead? The Prince (talk) 21:34, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

Re:FA
Thanks =) I have a draft for Aria of Sorrow in the works, and I think I can pull of Characters in Castlevania: Sorrow series for an FA run with the information uncovered during the writing of Dawn of Sorrow, in the mold of Characters of Kingdom Hearts. The only annoying thing is that there's no merchandise to speak of, but that should be fine, given that I'm still covering all relevant points of the topic. Regards, Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 02:34, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Okay. I've fixed the conception and reception sections and replaced all the excess images with a single one for fair use concerns in the above article. All is left is a tad bit more sourcing of the character text, a copy-edit (given I wrote this a long time ago), and I think it can go for FA status. Your thoughts? The relevant models have been Characters of Final Fantasy VIII and Characters of Kingdom Hearts and I feel that the article is as comprehensive as I'm going to get it. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 01:19, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- Meh. Was bold and nominated it. Nomination is here. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 03:01, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
A bit of FAC help
I've been debating at FAC nomination for Characters in Castlevania: Sorrow series over the lack of inclusion of more out-of-universe information in the individual character section (when it doesn't really exist), and whether the reception is trivial. Aid would be appreciated. Thanks, Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 09:45, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

WP:GAN
Hi. At WP:GAN, Super Mario Sunshine is being reviewed by an IP address. I think this is quite strange, and I would prefer that the article got reviewed by an established user. What do you think? The Prince 21:52, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- Ashnard took care of it. The Prince 23:29, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- It is now a GA, so I think I'll work a little on Luigi's Mansion. Congratulations on getting Characters of Kingdom Hearts to FA status. I'd vote Support, but since I'm still playing the first game, I don't want to spoil anything. The Prince 12:08, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- I think it's a great idea. SM64 is (and will always be) my favourite video game, and getting it back to FA status has been a priority of mine for a long time. The Prince 15:58, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

Super Mario 64 article content
Hello Guyinblack25; I'm doing the same here as I have on User talk: Clyde Miller—typing a full script of the content in question. I believe that this is the way to go about it although I'm not certain. The content in question may not be as substantial as you anticipated, but something's better than nothing. Okay, here it is:
Author: Steve Jarratt
"Mario in 3D? Can't be done. He's a 2D character in a 2D world. How would it work in three dimensions? How could you control him or see where you were going? What a strange idea...
Excitement was high in 1996 because the N64 had just come out, and this excitement was compunded by the release of Super Mario 64. I still remember key moments, like the first time you explore Peach's castle, or racing penguins down ice slides in Cool, Cool Mountain, or watching as a sunken pirate ship appears through the murk as Mario swims towards the bottom of Jolly Roger Bay.
Super Mario 64 really is masterpiece of game design: the initial promise of so many doors and paintings to discover, plus the ingenious way it crams so much replay into each level (you can re-enter the level multiple times to gather all the Power Stars). Genius, Nintendo had pulled off quite a feat. Not only had it made another gaming epic, but it had taken its numer-one 2D franchise and convert it flawlessly into 3D, retaining the gameplay essence of the Mario series but creating an awe-inspiring, non-linear journey through a solid, fully-realised world. It set the standard for other developers to follow but it would be years before SM64 was matched, let alone bettered.
It's been ages since I visited Peach's castle and in writing this I remember, to my shame, that I have unfinished business – especially with a particularly tricky section in Tiny-Huge Island. So if you'll excuse me, I'm off to get those last few Power Stars... ten years after I started, but better late than never.
Captions:
- All the ambience of a trip to Kew Gardens without the dodgy British weather
- These sections were inspired by creator Shigeru Miyamoto's swimming lessons (picture of underwater section)
- Have you ever seen this much colour before? Well have you? Really? We doubt it...
- It's-a-me, and me... and me again
- The shift in platforming from 2D to 3D was flawless.
- Mario 64 – it's the game that gives you wings
Enjoy :-). Ashnard Talk Contribs 19:26, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- Silly me. I've never had to cite a mag which is why I've made this error. Anywho, Page: 17, Title: What do you mean, you've never played... *Title of game*. Cheers. Ashnard Talk Contribs 20:46, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
List of locations in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
I see that you posted on that page. I would really like to actually sort that page out and merge bits with the main article, but the main problem is the fairly obsessive main contributor (unintentional major case of WP:OWN). The article has good information in the creation and reception sections for the actual game, but they have just been piled into that article to provide a false notability. Anything else on the page is either repetitive plot/game guide material or complete original research back by sources that aren't really backing them. I've tried both the project and an AfD in the past, but somehow neither have worked (no consensus, and a lack of response or whatever). If I could just get some help in explaining that an article on the geography of one minor game is mostly undue weight, that would help. TTN 22:40, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I've been reading through it to get a better feel for it but its a bit hard to take in as it is now. Without seeing all of the sources used it's kinda hard to tell for certain. I'm gonna keep reading through it and see what can be trimmed down to make it easier to read through, and then decide what to do after that. (Guyinblack25 talk 23:11, 3 December 2007 (UTC))
- The main problem is that the user is very, very protective. Everything is good at this point, even though I have shown various times how "X is OR" or "Y is irrelevant". I have removed from a few sentences to over eighty percent of the article, and it is always reverted. Then, the user believes there is some sort of consensus when three or four editors have suggested that something should happen (usually on an entirely different spectrum than what the user believes), while way over ten editors at this point have shown that the article is not good at all in its current form. TTN 23:17, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- Guyinblack25, if you would like some of the print references as well, please feel free to contact me. I have scans of the player's guide, the instruction booklet, Nintendo Power, and Next Generation Magazine. Taric25 11:48, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- I've dealt with people/editors like that before, so I think I can get things cleaned up some. If it gets out of hand, we beat him at his own game and have more editors at one time than he does citing the appropriate guidelines/policies. We call in arbitration if needed. I don't think it'll go that far though. I'll see what I can do after I get more familiar with the article. (Guyinblack25 talk) —Preceding comment was added at 23:25, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- Guyinblack25, I would be more than happy if you would bring more people in to help edit the article. Since Geography of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars is now merged into the List of locations in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, we need to remove the unsouced regions' qualitative descriptions and replace them with sourced content. I'm sure we can trim down the article to comply with Wikipedia:Article size. Once we're done, I would like to get the article to the assessment departments of the wikiprojects listed on the talk page for steps to improve the article or whether it should be merged into the main article, whatever the case may be. Taric25 11:48, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- TTN, The editors of whom you speak, User:Judgesurreal777, User:Cyrus XIII, User:RockMFR, and User:Pagrashtak, and have never actually stayed around for the discussion. Each one of these users made a single comment on the talk page then did not reply to any response. In fact, users such as User:Dragon DASH, User:Sjones23, User:Mika1h, User:Axem Titanium, User:Boston2austin, User:DBZROCKS, User:The Prince of Darkness, and User:Matthew Yeager have told you time and again not to remove sourced content and to merge instead of delete and redirect. Axem Titanium even told you, “I think this is a dangerous attitude because it means you are not committing the time needed to actually do a good job.”, when you said, “I am not interested in working on the article in regards to improving it.” Taric25 11:48, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Super Mario 64
Hi. In the reception section of this article, these sentences include a lot of scores from reviewers: "Game Informer initially rated the game a 9.75,[28] but re-rated it a 9.0 a decade later in their "Retro Review" section.[20] GameSpot called it one of the 15 most influential games of all time,[6] and they rated the Nintendo 64 version a score of 9.4[19] and the Wii Virtual Console version an 8.[29] The Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, known for its harsh scoring, rated Super Mario 64 a 39/40.[6]". Should these be removed? The Prince (talk) 15:16, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Okay. But what do you think the article needs in order to become an FA again? The Prince (talk) 15:45, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Great. There's no rush though, so if you'd rather want to work on RPG, that's fine. The Prince (talk) 18:09, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
I think the article is looking very good. The only thing I would like to comment on is that it doesn't contain any critisism. It is no big deal, though, and I myself haven't heard of any specific critisism of the game. Other than that, I think it's ready for FA. The Prince (talk) 13:42, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, your my only hope
I was wondering if you could help teach me how to build a Featured Article. I feel like I haven't really ever put one together by myself, and you have made many by now, and I am desirous of getting Ghostbusters (franchise) to featured status. Could you maybe tell me step by step what, in general, you would do? I really am not sure how to approach it. :) Judgesurreal777 (talk) 23:36, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
- Oh and one other thing, as the old criticisms of Super Mario 64 were struck out with a line, does that mean that they were all addressed? Judgesurreal777 (talk) 14:44, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Dutch?
I noticed you have a userpage on the Dutch Wikipedia. Are you Dutch too (like me and Krator)? JACOPLANE • 2007-12-14 23:04
- First off, sorry, but I am not Dutch and I don't have a Dutch account. What happened was that the interwiki link on Template:Filefolder was not in the </noinclude> tag, thus bringing it over to my page and probably others via transculstion. Secondly, holy crap that freaked me out! I saw that and initially had no idea how that got on there. Thank you for pointing that out. :-p (Guyinblack25 talk 23:16, 14 December 2007 (UTC))
Re:Naruto FT
Thanks =) Another thanks for nominating me for a triple crown award at User talk:Durova. Feel free to comment at Wikipedia:Featured topic candidates/Seasons of YuYu Hakusho, another topic I've nominated for featured status. Cheers, Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 19:24, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- I have Durova's talk page on my watchlist, as I asked for a regular triple crown when I got my first DYK. And thanks for planning to comment on the YuYu Hakusho FTC. Regards, Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 19:58, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
I've heavily rewritten the above article and nominated it for GA status. Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially copy-editing, as I have an enormous headache right now after finishing that. =/ Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 02:22, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. The development section is short because of a lack of information. I'll start digging for more, but I don't expect more than an additional paragraph. That should be enough though. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 22:38, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
World of Super Mario RPG
Taric, I was wondering if you could provide me some of the Nintendo magazine references you have. I'll read up on the one linked in the reference section, but if you could provide the text of the others I'd really appreciate it. (Guyinblack25 talk 18:44, 20 December 2007 (UTC))
PS- I think it might be time to archive you talk page. :-P
- Sure, I can do that, but since the full text is not available online, it would require me to scan each and every page or type them out by hand. I would obviously prefer to scan them, but I don't have any webspace. I would usually ask Mitaphane of the WikiProject Video games Magazines department to help me out in this case, but it seems like Mitaphane’s FTP server is down. Do you know any of the users in Category:WikiProject Video games (Magazines Project) members who might be able to help us? Thanks!
- PS- I've archived my talk page. ☺ Taric25 (talk) 19:17, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hmmm.... that's a tough one. I don't know most of the users in the Magazine project, so I don't know which could help us. If one of the articles is a short one, like 3-5 paragraphs, could you possibly type it out. Of course the larger ones would probably be best to scan, but I guess we'll have to wait and see if Mitaphane's server gets back up. In the mean time, I'll go through the sources that are available. (Guyinblack25 talk 20:13, 20 December 2007 (UTC))
- Oh, none of the articles on Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars in Nintendo Power are short. For example, the preview in volume 83 is eight pages. Besides, I already typed out pretty much anything that is short, such as the letters gamers wrote into the Player's Pulse, when I quoted them using

FAs to FLs
A discussion is taking place here concerning whether character list articles (namely Characters of Kingdom Hearts) should be featured lists instead of featured articles. Given that you saw the aforementioned article to FA status, I thought it prudent to inform you. Cheers, Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 18:17, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
Re: FFT FA
Thanks =) There is a slight possibility that I'd pursue the FA for Final Fantasy Tactics Advance or Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions next. If more editors be like you (fixers and not whiners, taggers or deletionists), I would be more than happy to come back. Till then, I'm taking a small wikibreak. Happy Holidays to you too. — Blue。 10:26, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
