Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. A page you recently created may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new pages, so it will be removed shortly (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests, and consider using the Article Wizard. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Your first article. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Eric Schmidt. Your edits continue to appear to constitute vandalism and have been automatically reverted.

  • If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • ClueBot NG makes very few mistakes, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been considered as unconstructive, please read about it, report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
  • If you need help, please see our help pages, and if you can't find what you are looking for there, please feel free to place {{Help me}} on your talk page and someone will drop by to help.
  • The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Eric Schmidt was changed by Guramrit27 (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.956874 on 2017-04-20T01:06:11+00:00 .

Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 01:06, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop making disruptive edits, as you did at Hailee Steinfeld.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. —ATS 🖖 talk 17:46, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, as you did at Hailee Steinfeld. —ATS 🖖 talk 17:53, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Widr (talk) 18:01, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I would like to start with an apology, I am new member of wikipedia community so I am not well versed with the community guidelines for wikipedia. I understand I may have made multiple disruptive page edit requests but I was testing the mediawiki API to edit the Page. I wanted to put a link for a collection to the interviews for Hailee Steinfeld on her wiki page. but for some reason I was finding it a bit confusing to reference to external Links. Since in mediawiki API I can not reference the Page section by its name but have to use the Section Number and then have to decide whether to append or prepend the link to the section. So because of these multiple combinations I may have disrupted the page, and If you can see my requests you will concur with me that I was just Trying to position the Link in External Links section. I totally Understand that I may have caused some Disruption but that was not the intention, and I Didn't saw the warning messages I got from the Admin as I am new to this so I was unaware of these messages. But I can assure you that I understand that my actions may have caused this disruption and will make sure moving forward this will not happen and will test my requests on my sandbox page before editing a public wikipedia page. I would really appreciate if you can unblock me from editing the wikipedia pages. Thanks

Decline reason:

So as a new member of the community your first step was using the API to do things you didn't proofread? And even if we ignore where you put the link, that doesn't address the nature of the link, which was inappropriate as well. Huon (talk) 01:30, 22 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I'm not an admin, but I would be disinclined. Even if you didn't see the messages on your talk, the edit summaries as you were reverted (particularly here and here, pointing you to the reason for the reversions) were not heeded; indeed, you kept putting the link back.
Were it up to me, I would require that you read our policy on external links (with particular emphasis on "link spam") and our policy on edit-warring, and then come back here to your talk page and explain your understanding of them—and specifically why the site you kept adding is not valid for our purposes. —ATS 🖖 talk 20:55, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
